Kailen entered the spaceship of Jackson Bloodfallen. He glanced at the interior of the spaceship with intrigue.

This was his first time glancing at the interior of a spaceship after all.

There was no way he’d be so composed.

The young man scanned the environs in the spaceship for a while ,his consciousness spreading towards different compartments of the spaceship before his gaze finally refocused on Jackson Bloodfallen,the vampire now slumped in a sofa.

" Come, there’s a lot to discuss"

Kailen joined him. There was another couch at the opposite end.

He sat in it.

"Let’s talk about the astral galaxy first " Before Kailen could say anything, he spoke " The Astral Galaxy is named after the Astral empire, a low tier civilisation in the vast universe"

" Astral empire,low tier civilisation?"

Kailen asked , intrigued .

" Yeah. There are three tiers of civilisations in the universe, comprising of low tier,mid tier and high tier civilisations.Low tier civilisations are civilisations that control just several thousands of galaxies"

Kailen was shocked. " Just several thousands of Galaxies? "

The time dilation artifact chuckled in his head and snorted " Tsk! bumpkin "

Kailen ignored her, then listened.

Jackson saw the surprised expression on Kailen’s face " Looks like your parents left you completely in the dark about the universe"

Kailen nodded. He had a lot to learn ,this was not the time to be proud.

" Each galaxy consists of thousands of solar systems, each solar system spanning a vast number of planets, and celestial bodies.One can therefore say that the number of solar systems the Astral Empire controls is literally enormous ,considering the large number of galaxies under their control. The Astral Galaxy is named after the Astral empire because the Astral Galaxy is where the foothold of the Astral empire is. However the eclipse solar system can be literally considered extremely far from the capital of the Astral Empire , where we are currently headed"

Kailen processed the information with a composed expression, earning a nod from Jackson.

Just this information alone would have been enough to crush the spirit of someone new to the universe. Many set out to travel the universe and make a name for themselves. However on finding how vast the universe is, they give up,realizing that they are but a spec of dust in the vast universe.

However Kailen was different. He saw the information as a necessary tool to have,and a medium to broaden his horizons. His goals had not changed .

Also, ahem, he didn’t want the time dialtion artifact to keep calling him a bumpkin.

"How powerful is the Darkhaven Clan?"

Kailen finally asked the question he had been meaning to ask Jackson.

Jackson was not surprised. Considering Kailen’s background,it was pretty much expected that he’d ask this question.

" The Darkhaven Clan is influential in the Eclipse solar system and the Astral Galaxy. The clan is an Earl ranked noble family . The Earl rank was given to the clan after your grandfather accomplished meritorious deeds in the military for the empire.

The Earl rank is not that high ,but the clan is pretty much influential because of their noble status and connections in the military"

Kailen’s eyes widened in realization.

It seemed the Darkhaven Clan was quite influential.

" What happened to my grandfather ?"

He asked another question.

"Your uncle murdered him and took over the clan. The empire stayed out of the matter because they deemed it a skirmish in a clan. Also , your uncle attempted to kill your father because he saw your father as a threat to him. Insamuch as your father never expressed any interest in inheriting the family leader title, your uncle not only saw your father as a threat ,he also had feelings for your mum. When your father and mother got married ,I saw the envious look in the bastard’s eye. But your father trusted him too much . Cyrus was a fucking snake.Always hiding behind sweet words ,and disguised charitable deeds"

Kailen was seething with rage .

He cursed in his mind " I have to kill this uncle in the most painful way possible "

He asked Jackson ,trying to calm his rage. Yet the killing intent emanating from the young amnd isn’t go unnoticed by Jackson .

" This kid has really been through a lot " He sighed inwardly .

Kailen ,oblivious to Jackson’s thoughts asked.

" Did you warn my father about my uncle?"

Jackson sighed, a plethora of emotions flashing through his red eyes before he nodded .

" That is a conversation I am never happy to recount. Your father was my closest friend . We actually went to the Astral Empire Academy together where we made a name for ourselves.

It was at the academy that I met your parents .

So our friendship could be said to date way back"

Kailen didn’t fail to notice the use of Astral Empire Academy and " made a name for ourselves ".

His father ,alongside Jackson Bloodfallen ,were probably some hailed geniuses who left their marks in the Astral Empire Academy.

" Anyway, the night your father and mother fled the clan, I had an argument with him that same morning about how much he had come to trust your uncle. I told him he should be careful about your uncle. Cyrus is a sly fox. He never does anything to reveal his true intentions. I’m good at reading people. I grew up in the slums of the Astral empire , where even a loaf of bread was a reason for wife to stab her husband in the back. So I had grown sensitive to such people. However your father brushed my warning away, saying I was just being paranoid and that,your uncle had no vile intentions against him. After all ,your uncle was actually stronger than him and there was therefore any need for Cyrus to be wary of him. Plus, Cyrus would never covet your mother , as your uncle had even been the one to take all the cost for their wedding. In exasperation , I left your father’s villa ,only to later find out ,that very night that Cyrus had murdered your grandfather with the help of some clan powerhouses and was in pursuit of your father. Actually,your father had called me several times that night. However because I was mad at him , I decided to cool down and call him in the morning. I thought he was just calling to apologize for not listening and that it was nothing serious after all"

Jackson was pained as he spoke.

Kailen silently listened to Jackson.

" Perhaps had I picked up his call, maybe I could have offered some assistance right?. What did my best friend think of me during that time?, that I abandoned him? What if he thought I was in on the scheme ?" Jackson sighed.

Kailen understood how Jackson felt.

No one wanted to leave things on a sour note with someone they cared about, only to find out the next moment that the person they just argued with, was probably dead .

The guilt one would feel would be unbearable. Especially in Jackson’s case where he had rejected Saul’s calls only to find out later that Saul was no more . No wonder this guy became a drunk.

Kailen sighed " Don’t blame yourself old man. Honestly ,I think my father made a mistake . He should have listened to you. What would you have gained for lying to him about his brother?. Also, about how he felt about what you did, have a look at this.."
