Quickly, he opened it, turning the pages to a particular area.

Jackson stared at Kailen with intrigue.

He handed the diary over to Kailen.

It read " I miss that vampire bastard. Had I listened to him, perhaps non of this would have happened. I don’t blame him for not answering my calls that night. He probably was mad at me, thinking it was nothing serious. Sigh, I hope wherever he is,he’s not blaming himself for what happened. Also , I’m praying he doesn’t resort to binge drinking again. That guy drunk so much the last time a girl broke his heart. Vampires like alcohol naturally. However I hope he doesn’t become a habitual drunk like he always does whenever he’s emotionally unstable "

Kailen stared silently at Jackson . Jackson was reading the diary silently.

He stared at the words ,reading them over and over again.

"When I first read this part I didn’t understand anything my father said. However ,I do now. I’m sure you can find closure that he didn’t blame you for anything" Kailen said "If anything, he regretted not listening to you,and was worried that you would blame yourself and resort to alcohol"

Jackson felt a heavy weight lifted off his shoulder.

"All this while , I’ve been carrying this guilt with me for nothing. To think he’d read me like a book. I’ve quit being a drunk as you can see. To think that bastard would be worried about me" Jackson sighed.

"Kid, thank you" Jackson patted Kailen’s shoulder.

Jackson was now more resolute to take good care of Kailen in the best way he could for the sake of his old friend.

He and Saul had become more than just friends at some point , they had become brothers from another mother. In a way he saw Kailen as his nephew.

Jackson read through the diary, varying emotions flickering through his eyes from time to time.

Finally ,he sighed.

He had gotten an overall summary of everything they had been through since they left the Astral Galaxy. Kailen shared with Jackson about how they had died.

Jackson sighed. It was really sad. All this had happened because of Cyrus. He had been the fuel for the beginning of their pain and suffering .

He would help Kailen get revenge .

As for what had happened after Saul and Selena ’s deaths , Jackson was well aware so Kailen didn’t bother sharing.

" Don’t bother with that part. With the AI of the spaceship, I dug up your biography. Gotta say, even in the astral empire, considering all the monstrous geniuses ,you are still a monster.

With what you’ve accomplished so far, It is no understatement that you’ll go very far " Jackson honestly complimented the young man.

Kailen nodded,not dwelling on the compliment .

Jackson admired the young man’s temperament.

The complement didn’t get into his head. That was the temperament needed for grooming a powerhouse.

" The high tier civilisations control billions of galaxies and mid tier civilisations ,whereas the mid tier civilisations control millions of galaxies and low tier civilisations. The universe is extremely vast with varying lifeforms such as vampires, witches ,humans with different anatomical structures , centaurs, fairies ,elves, giants , orcs,treants,mecha, amongst others. The Astral empire ,although extremely powerful as a low tier civilisation , is still like an ant in the grand scheme of the vastness and profoundness of the universe.

Standing at the peak of high tier civilisations in the universe are supreme stage universe lifeforms. Standing at the peak of mid tier civilisations are supreme stage Dao Lifeforms , and standing at the peak of low tier civilisations are supreme stage galactic lifeforms"

Kailen listened intently , his horizons being broadened with each word spoken by his master.

The young man was slowly coming understand the weight of the goal he had set for himself ,standing at the peak of the universe. It was no small and easy goal.

Kailen once again felt humbled,and yet motivated.

" There are some organizations in the vast universe that stand as giant cooperations.

The Virtual Universe Association and the Secondary Carrier Alliance are both in this class of organisations. Even the powerhouses of high tier civilisations have to give them respect"

Kailen listened silently digesting the information with surprise etched inside him.

Jackson proceeded with a satisfied expression " The Secondary Carrier Alliance consists of professions that are not combat related.

The Universe Alchemy Association operates as one of the giants of the Secondary Carrier Aliance.

The other giants of the Secondary Carrier Alliance are the Universe Miners Association, The Universe Blacksmiths Association, and the Universe Healer’s Association "

Kailen listened , nodding at Jackson’s words.

Jackson went on to explain to Kailen the power systems of the universe ,which Kailen was already aware of thanks to the time Dilation Artifact.

" If you want to have revenge against Cyrus, you need to become stronger. Becoming a rank 1 alchemist will only deter him from harming you in the open. He’s currently a rank 2 beginner stage galactic lifeform. In fact, even I am no match for him at the moment. I can only use my prestige as an alchemist to protect myself. I suggest that after you become a rank 1 alchemist you join the entrance exams for the Astral Empire Academy which will be happening a month from now. Enroll in the Academy, secure connections and make a name for yourself . After you graduate from the Academy , you will be eligible to join the Empire’s military and make a name for yourself on the front lines. Not only will you have resources to grow stronger,you will also have a strong backing in the military. The Darkhaven Clan after all , has a lot of military connections and manpower . Kailen listened to Jackson’s words with utmost seriousness.

It seemed he had been naive in the past.

In the universe being a renegade was akin to manslaughter. He needed a backing if he wanted to make a name for himself and survive .

Yes he had the time dilation artifact,but she wouldn’t spoon-feed him.
