Has Big Shot Fallen in Love Today?-Chapter 906: Sister Tang Is Highly Skilled in Martial Arts
Filming in the mountains is particularly challenging.
Before heading into the mountains, many people didn’t have a clear concept of what it would be like, especially William.
This time, they are traveling to a mountain area within Zhejiang, where there’s a Taoist temple. It’s said that many martial arts film crews have shot scenes here. The environment is very beautiful, and the terrain is quite rugged.
At the base of the mountain, they switched to a bus, and the producer, Cai Xiangsheng, said, "Everyone, please sit tight. If you’re prone to motion sickness, don’t look down at the mountain."
William, however, was very curious.
He sat next to Sheng Tang and Wang Chuiyang, with his assistant in the same row.
He kept watching intently.
"Is the mountain road this smooth?" he asked, curious.
The producer told him, "The road was built by the government; it’s very smooth along the way, but the road is quite narrow."
The road was indeed narrow.
The bus driver was highly skilled, navigating through constant peril.
William looked at the beautiful scenery outside the window, feeling a strong desire to settle down right there.
However, after the bus had been driving for an hour without reaching their destination, he was a bit surprised.
He asked the producer sitting in the front row, Cai Xiangsheng, "Brother Cai, haven’t we arrived yet?"
Cai Xiangsheng replied, "It’s still early."
"But we’ve been traveling for an hour, an hour-long drive and we still haven’t arrived? How deep are these mountains?" William was astonished.
Everyone laughed.
Cai Xiangsheng laughed and said, "That’s how it is in the mountain areas, winding all the way."
William’s perception was refreshed.
Then, two hours passed, and William napped a bit amidst the jolting ride.
When he woke up, the bus still hadn’t reached the destination, and by then, three hours had passed.
The bus kept winding around the mountain roads.
"No wonder the director said once you enter the mountains, you can’t get out," William sighed, "It’s really tough to come out once you’re in."
After three and a half hours, they finally reached the place.
The Taoist temple provided lodging and meals, but it was two people to a room, though the three lead actors each could have a room to themselves.
Sheng Tang said to William and Wang Chuiyang, "Now that we’re deep in the mountains, safety is the priority. If possible, you should stay with your assistants."
With her reminder, William and Wang Chuiyang nodded in agreement.
Sheng Tang and Ai’ai shared a room, right between William and Wang Chuiyang’s rooms.
The room had a hard bed and was not large.
Apart from the bed, there were just simple furnishings, wooden tables, chairs, and stools.
There were only two bathrooms, and they used solar water heaters, which were nowhere near adequate, making conditions quite tough.
Thankfully, it was winter, so a few days without a shower was manageable.
"An hour’s drive from here is a four-star national reserve hotel. We’ll go once a week to recuperate," said producer Liu Taofang.
His words sparked a bit of hope in everyone.
That evening, they dined at the temple’s cafeteria, and meals were quite plain.
After dinner, everyone returned to their rooms.
William and his assistant had just opened their room door when they saw someone rush out, carrying William’s backpack.
The assistant exclaimed in shock, "Who is this?" 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
He was about to shout that there was a thief when Sheng Tang, who had just returned, kicked the person to the ground, leaving them unable to get up for quite a while.
The backpack rolled to the floor.
William’s laptop, tablet, camera, and even an expensive watch were all in the backpack.
He and his assistant didn’t bother picking them up or restraining the thief, just marveled at Sheng Tang’s skills.
"Sister Tang, you’re really capable of fighting," William praised sincerely.
Sheng Tang remained silent, "..."
Other staff hurried over, restraining the thief and fetching the temple’s person in charge.
The person in charge told the crew that this person was a local hooligan who never worked or farmed, relying on petty theft instead.
"Other film crews have been stolen from by him too, but they never caught him. Your crew is impressive," the temple person in charge remarked with admiration.
They took the person to the local police station overnight.
But it was to no avail; after being detained for a few days, they’d have to release him.
However, the thief never dared target the crew again; that’s a story for another time.
