Daddy is too Strong-The Teams Message
Woo:
Let me try to sneak into that family photo real quick... no? Okay, fair enough.
Still. What a journey this has been. What began as a rather unusual parental arrangement between a man and his older brother’s girlfriend’s daughter grew into something genuinely heartwarming and wholesome. We watched Do-Jun, an absurdly overpowered main character with shockingly poor social skills, grow into a coworker, a mentor, a potential lover(?), and, most importantly, a father. We saw Yoon-Hee finally find a family with whom she truly feels at home and make her way through the Hunter Academy. And of course, there was the trio—Yong-Yong, Karsiel, and Byeol—who brought life and charm to every scene they appeared in.
I truly enjoyed this novel, not just as its translator, but as one of you. The peaceful, wholesome slice-of-life moments of Daddy is Too Strong became a place of comfort for me, and I sincerely hope they did the same for you.
As Daddy is Too Strong comes to an end, I’d like to thank my team at Wuxiaworld for supporting me through the ups and downs. And thank you, the readers, for your constant support and thoughtful feedback. I couldn’t have asked for a better group to share this journey with.
Up next is “Hard Carried by My Sword!” And, spoiler alert, it’s really good. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Thank you again.
Momo:
Here we are, about a year since the novel went live, saying goodbye to each other and, above all, to the characters we have come to love so dearly.
Still, what a ride this has been. Starting with the ambiguous contractual relationship, it was difficult to see Do-Jun step into the fatherly shoes, not just because of his age but also because of his emotional apathy. Over the three years and 383 chapters, he learned to be a doting, caring father, relearned what it meant to be human, stepped up to be a good civil servant, a neighbor, a teacher, and finally had his heart thaw enough for a possible relationship. It definitely has been a journey.
The residents of Changshin Villa, Apartment 301, had become part of my daily life for over a year now. After reading the first chapter, little did I know that I had stepped into a fuzzy, cozy warmth of wholesome goodness. More often than not, I found myself laughing out loud alone while I edited the chapters. I soon learned to never have any food or drinks on the side after I almost sprayed my monitor at Yong-Yong’s antics.
I am sad to part ways with the characters of Daddy is Too Strong, but as all things do, even good things come to an end. All books that we read leave a mark on us in some way or other, but books that evoke genuine emotions and linger in my mind are few and far between. Needless to say, this one has made me reach my phone multiple times to call my parents just to say “Hi.” I hope you have enjoyed this novel just as much, if not more, than Woo and I have.
Lastly, thank you for all your love and support for Daddy is Too Strong. Championing the series, commenting, discussing, spreading the word, and reading—everything counts. Your support means the most to us.
I am not sure what my next project will be, but until then, I will be around. Thank you for all your love, and see you all soon in the next one, whatever it may be!
Lots of love.
