God of Systems: Maker of Heroes and Villains-Chapter 257: We Need To Talk, Juliet
"Hot… but not hot enough." the knight said and flung it’s sword towards Laser Ken, stabbing him right in his heart.
Before anyone could react, a black smoke rose out from the sword and it began to cover it’s target. While this happened, the other two didn’t sit quiet and got even more aggressive against the Knight but none of their efforts bore fruit.
The snake’s fangs couldn’t penetrate the armor and nor was there any gaps in the armor that it could take advantage of. As for the strings themselves, they were also pretty useless against the knight.
The knight then grabbed the snake with a speed that surprised the two of them. Contrary to it’s size, it was extremely fast and the fate of the snake was sealed the moment it was caught.
With one simple motion of squeezing it’s hand, it crushed the snake, splitting it in two before watching tail part wiggle for a while. At the same time, laser Ken who had been stabbed by the sword began to melt into a goopy mass of flesh.
"Weak… where is your master?" it said as it turned it’s head to look at Ken who had stopped attacking.
Keith shrugged and then smirked, "Was it fun? Wasting your time with weaklings?"
The moment he finished speaking, the snake turned into a mass of flesh and so did laser Ken. Both blobs of flesh flew towards Ken and covered his entire body before integrating into him.
At multiple areas on his body, eyelids opened up to reveal bright red eyes. The rest of his skin was covered in bright red and green scales while multiple strings flew out from his fingers while his hair too stretched out.
As they flew towards the knight, they turned into snakes but instead of biting, they coiled around their target.
"…. Where’s your honor?" the knight asked as it saw the bright red eyes on the snakes and the moment he did, he was hit by extremely hot lasers from multiple directions.
"Not hot enough huh?" Ken muttered and grinned as he saw the armor turning bright red.
The knight silently stood in place for a few seconds while it was getting focus fired, but then it looked up and it’s purple eyes turned bright.
It’s sword that was on the floor, flew up in a straight arc and cut Ken directly in two but unfortunately for the Knight, the lasers did not stop firing.
The two halves of Ken’s body rejoined and Ken chuckled, "Heheheh, looks like you didn’t learn much from your first experience."
Before the knight could say anything, Ken sensed a presence behind him and immediately turned around, only to see a two feet tall skeleton standing with a small dagger in it’s bony arms.
"Strong, you guys pass the test but now… it’s time for you to join my master’s side. Become a part of our legion and… tell me where your master is first." the small skeleton said with a childish voice as it looked up at Ken.
Ken spit at it and went back to shooting lasers at the knight, "Fuck off."
The skeleton stared at Ken for a second before the light within it’s eye sockets went from yellow to red.
"Are you looking down on me for my size?!" it growled, the cute little voice replaced by a ear numbing screech.
It began to grown in size and in just a matter of seconds, it’s skull touched the roof but it did not stop there. Instead, he continued to grow, breaking the roof and the floor.
Seeing this, Ken used the last bit of strength that he had to put holes into the knight’s armor, only to reveal a black smoke swirling inside instead of a human being.
The armor riddled with holes rolled down the stairs as the parts separated, but Ken paid it no attention as his eyes were now fixed on the giant skeleton that was towering over him at a height of twenty meters.
"Yessss, look up at me human! Tell me where your master is and I’ll make this painless."
Ken looked up at the skeleton and shrugged, "I don’t feel pain anyways… so do your best."
Hearing this, the skeleton screeched before lifting up it’s leg and stomping down on Ken. The sound of splatter was heard, but the skeleton didn’t stop and continued to repeat the process.
Stomp after stomp after stomp. As the stomps rained down on Ken, he was unable to recover in time and stayed in his splattered form as he bid his time, but all of a sudden, the attacks stopped.
Ken’s body took shape and once his eyes formed, he looked around, only to see that the skeleton had completely disappeared. Instead, he saw a familiar face.
"Keith?" he muttered and frowned as he cautiously stared at the man in front of him.
Keith turned to look at Ken and nodded, "Yeah it’s me. We need to talk, me and Zax… well, you don’t know his real name so um… I gotta talk to Juliet and it’s important. I’m not here as an enemy Ken."
"….." Ken silently stared at Keith for a few second before sighing, "I don’t know where she is. She told me to buy time and that’s it. She knows you’re here by now so if she wants to, she will meet you personally. If she doesn’t, then that just means that she doesn’t want to."
Keith let out a soft sigh and stared right at Ken, "Alright you old bitch, I know you’re watching so listen carefully. A really strong guy somehow managed to come to this place and he’s after you right now. I suggest an alliance and before you say no, I’d like to give you a little more information."
"That thing." he said and pointed at the pieces of armor at the bottom of the staircase, "it’s a death knight and that guy has thousands of those as a part of his undead army."
Keith then pointed at himself, "As for the skeleton that I just kidnapped, it’s the same. He has thousands of them in his army.

He’s way stronger than any of the people we’ve ever seen and based on my speculation, he’s stronger than even the five so-called gods combined. I can give you more information but I’ll only do that if you join me.
I’ll give you ten minutes and if you don’t get your ass here, I will find you. And I can, since now I have the means to. So you better stop being a slippery eel and come here Zax."
Ken stood silently until Keith was done and then he looked at the rubble nearby. There were a few people who were injured, but there were no deaths.
Then he turned to look at Keith with a frown on his face, "How… did you get here?"
Hearing this question, Keith placed his hand on Ken’s shoulder and said, "You my friend, are my precious check point. I can appear in front of you whenever I want to, whether you like it or not."
"Do I have no right to privacy? This is crazy...." Ken complained, but Keith just shrugged.
"You already have Zax spying on you all the damn time so having another one shouldn’t hurt. Also, I was only able to save you because I had my eyes on you all this time." Keith said and then smirked cheekily, "You should be thanking me instead."
"Imagine a guy spying on other guys... damn pervert."
"Wha.... " Keith opened his mother wide before covering it with his hand "Gosh I feel so bad now!"
He then stopped and gave Ken a serious look, "Did you really expect me to say that? Information, is the key to victory in most cases. You’re technically an enemy to me, so I have to keep an eye on you so I can catch Zax.
Unfortunately, it looks like he knows about this ability of mine and this is probably the reason why he never directly meets you nowadays and uses shadows to give orders."
Just as Keith finished speaking, he saw a petite blonde girl walk into the inn and look at the large hole that was made by the skeleton.
"Finally, you’re here Juliet. Or should I say... Zax." Keith said and grinned as he looked at her.
Zax frowned and then sighed, "Call me Juliet. I like this appearance more and currently, I’m roleplaying as a psycho girl who likes to play dangerous games with her targets."
She then used her thumb to point at the exit, "Let’s find a better place to talk, shall we?"
Keith nodded and have her a thumbs up as he shot a system seed at her, which took root instantly. Find adventures on novelbuddy
"I know the perfect place for that." He said and snapped his fingers, bringing both Ken and Julie to his Spatial Dimension.
"Welcome to my abode!" Keith exclaimed and extended his arms to his sides, "What do you think?"
Juliet looked around and the first thing that caught her eyes, was the camphor trees.
"So many.... Even I’ve never seen so many trees together in one place..." She said and took in her surroundings.
A few second later she looked at Keith with a confused look on her face, "I saw you make eight of the princess’ wolves disappear. You should have brought them here but why don’t I see them?"
"Ah, I split up the plot into multiple parts. I’ll show you all of that later but for now, the two of us need to talk."
