Chapter 110: Yakima Korana

While Hayatobi and his two monstrous students were carving out their territories in the deadly Valley of Death, a disturbance of a different nature was unfolding back at the academy grounds.

___

[Academy Grounds]

"What is that?!"

Carl asked, breaking his concentration as he stared at the heavily armored, pitch-black carriage smoothly gliding inside the academy through the open main gate. There wasn’t a coachman holding the reins, nor were there any horses or spirit beasts pulling it. It was simply moving on its own, propelled by dense, unseen runic arrays etched into its obsidian chassis.

The sudden appearance of the strange, autonomous carriage instantly confused all the students.

At the main administrative building, Elder Lady Gaga and Elder Merlot slowly walked out of the academy’s grand double doors. They stood firmly in front of the entrance, their expressions grave as they stared at the carriage steadily moving towards them.

"What do you think is inside that thing?" Phillip asked, stepping out of his meditation stance and standing beside Carl.

The sprawling ground of students—consisting of the Assassin, Warrior, and Knight bloodline classes—were all outside, supposed to be undergoing deep meditation training. But the arrival of the dark carriage completely disrupted the flow of energy, distracting every single one of them.

"I can feel two very powerful presences inside," Ken muttered, his gaze fixed intensely on the sleek carriage. A cold sweat was already forming on his face, his Assassin sensory skills screaming in warning.

BAM!

The carriage came to a halt with a heavy, metallic thud exactly ten meters from the two elders. The heavy door slowly swung open, a cloud of chilled energy spilling out. Everyone watched with bated breath as a lady stepped down. She looked to be in her early twenties, with striking, short bobbed white hair and piercing, pure white eyes that lacked visible pupils. She slowly moved her gaze around everyone present in the courtyard, her unreadable expression finally stopping on the two tense elders.

"She?!"

Austin, the usually arrogant Draconian heir, gasped in genuine shock, instinctively taking a step back.

"What happened? Who is she?" Precious yelled at him, unsettled by his sudden loss of composure.

"That is Lady Yakima Korana!!" he yelled, his voice tight.

"What?!?!" Mitsuki was horrified. "You mean the same Yakima who fought Master Teacher Hayatobi and stood her ground?!!" she added, recalling the legendary academy rumors.

"Yes. Although she technically lost in that battle, it proved her monstrous strength... Back then, she was still only a Lv200 fighter, but now... She is easily Lv300!! Not to mention she possesses an ultra-rare All-Class bloodline, and also has awakened the legendary Soul Eyes of the Koranas!! She is a walking calamity!!" Austin yelled, unable to hide his awe and fear.

"Soul Eyes?!! All-Class bloodline?! Only one of those traits makes her virtually invincible! Unless you possess the Mythical or Celestial Eyes, you can’t even get close enough to defeat her!!" Aurelia yelled. She was always arrogant, priding herself on her speed, but before the young lady standing a distance away, she suddenly felt like an insect about to be crushed.

"That lady right there is a genius that only appears once in a million years! Not to mention all her titles. She is also the established Leader of the Dragon Tooth Guild, one of the strongest in our empire!" Aurelia added, her legs visibly trembling under the oppressive aura radiating from the newcomer.

’Just seeing her, and I am this shaken... Is this the true passive power of a peak god-rank cultivator?’ she thought, swallowing hard.

"Wait! What exactly is a Soul Eye?" Grace, who had rushed out of the training halls with the rest of the students, asked, stopping beside Carl to catch her breath.

Rose, who had been uncharacteristically quiet, stared at Yakima for some seconds. She finally turned to Grace, taking it upon herself to explain to her and those left in the dark about the family’s legacy:

"You have seen Hitachi’s eyes during combat; those eyes are known as Celestial Eyes, focused on cosmic destruction and illusions. And with the intel gathered from the Red Dungeon reports, you learned about the third eye. That third eye is known as the Mythical Eye, capable of bending reality... But Yakima’s eyes are different." She exhaled, a mix of pride and profound respect in her tone.

"The Soul Eyes are fundamentally different from the others... It possesses more raw visual processing power than all other eye bloodlines combined. Not only that, it grants its bearer perfect 360-degree sight, which means she can see every attack, even from directly behind her back..." She turned her gaze back to Yakima.

"No one knows the absolute full strength of these eyes, but we do know that with it... you can perfectly block and evade all incoming attacks." She gave a small, almost self-deprecating smile.

"Due to all these overwhelming powers and titles, she was formally recognized by the imperial Family itself, and was made the personal protector of the First Child of the Empire; Princess Delphine. And... she is also my elder sister, and Lord Hayatobi’s first child."

"WHAT?!!!!!!"

Carl, Grace, and all the students behind them were utterly horrified. Some literally fell to the ground due to the sheer shock of the revelation, while Austin and Aurelia simply nodded their heads seriously, having known the political ties of the high nobility.

"I know it’s a massive shock. But that lady right there is my elder sister, and also one of the major, undisputed pillars of the Dragon Empire," she said with a small smile, watching her sister converse silently with the elders. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

"Your elder sister?! Does that mean you also have the potential to awaken the Soul Eyes?" Ken asked in disbelief, looking at Rose as if she were a ticking time bomb.

Rose shook her head firmly. "As I said, the Soul Eyes are vastly different from other generic eye bloodlines... Just like the Mythical Eyes, which can only be awakened by the absolute strongest prodigy of a generation within a family. That’s how these eyes operate... Throughout our entire history, only five people have ever awakened these eyes in my family, and two of them alive right now are my father, Lord Hayatobi, and Yakima."

"I wouldn’t even dare call myself a genius when she is around." She gave a nervous, breathy chuckle, the reality of her sister’s shadow looming large over her own achievements.

"WOW."

Everyone stared at Rose. She was recognized as one of the strongest mages in the current academy roster, yet she openly admitted that before her sister, her talent was negligible.

Carl watched the white-haired woman with a critical eye, his gamer mindset instantly comparing stats and auras.

’Who is stronger... This Yakima, or my senior sister Mirabella?’ Carl thought, staring at the intimidating lady standing tall ahead of them.
