Galaxy Domination Guide-Chapter 764 - 750 persuade to surrender
Chapter 764: 750 persuade to surrender
In the middle of the night at the Oasis Inn, a colossal interstellar warship hovered above the establishment. In fact, the spaceship was so large that it actually dwarfed the entire town. Yet no one felt its arrival because it was in full invisibility mode, the light of the three moons passing through the ship and casting down as on any ordinary night.
Except for Su Shuang and Suo Kexiao.
“So we’ve been discovered after all?”
Suo Kexiao’s expression seemed to relax a bit as he said, “I wonder if we were discovered as soon as we left the Galactic Empire’s fleet, or because you used that smart device from Iridium Star.”
Su Shuang shook his head and simply said, “It doesn’t matter.”
The two appeared expressionless, but both understood all too well that they were like stray dogs, living on the edge of a minor planet of Iridium Star. For Divine Generals whose reputations once dictated the life and death of a civilization and were known throughout the Galaxy, this outcome was clearly not what they desired.
A beam of silver light descended, and two individuals clad in Iridium Star military uniforms emerged. The standard Iridium Star military attire was very stylish, made from high-tech precision fibers that were bulletproof and completely wrinkle-free, smooth like silk. The design bore some resemblance to the Zhongshan suit but without collars or pockets.
The two who appeared bore no epaulettes or armbands to show rank, but the intricate gold and jeweled embroidery on their cuff links, pant stripes, and collar folds was extraordinarily lavish. Most importantly, the second button on their clothing featured a unique crest resembling the seal carvings in Chinese culture.
That was the emblem of the Knight of Destiny.
The male Knight in the lead greeted them with a casual smile, nodded, and said, “My apologies for interrupting your rest, gentlemen, good evening to you both.”
Su Shuang, sensing the immense pressure emanating from the man, both from the warship overhead and his own presence, asked, “Which Knight are you?”
“Zang Xingyan, Chief Knight under the Chancellor of Iridium Star, Secretary-General of the Privy Council, and the commander during the Orion Arm campaign.”
Both Su Shuang and Suo Kexiao jerked in shock. Su Shuang appraised him for several seconds before exhaling and saying, “So it’s you.”
Zang Xingyan smiled, “You lost mainly because the power gap between you and Iridium Star was simply too large.”
Then, he added, “Of course, even if we commanded fleets of similar strength, you would still lose, because your opponent would be me.”
He turned back with a grin that was arrogant but not unlikable toward the tranquil-looking female Knight behind him and said, “All the second to eleventh Divine Generals put together couldn’t match me, don’t you think so, Miss Jiushao?”
Jun Jiushao, whose expression was difficult to change, did not respond to him. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
She turned to the two fleeing Divine Generals and said, “You two have always opposed Iridium Star. I don’t know how many Iridium Star people have sacrificed because of your opposition. From this point of view, you can say that your sins are indeed heavy.”
Suo Kexiao replied with an unrestrained smile, “The ten giants and the High Council have fallen apart, the Galactic Empire has disappeared, and even with the three great disasters, now the United Empire of Iridium Star has become the most powerful entity in the universe. Isn’t obliterating someone just a matter of your word?”
Zang Xingyan crossed his arms, seemingly amused as he said, “Killing you would be a waste, and it wouldn’t yield any return. Wouldn’t it be a better choice to have you serve for Iridium Star and then compensate for the crimes you’ve committed?”
Su Shuang frowned, “Are you trying to persuade us to surrender?”
Jun Jiushao stated, “This is the Chancellor’s intention. The two of you are still renowned for your military prowess. Now that the United Empire of Iridium Star is about to expand across the entire Galaxy and establish the Unified Empire Army, we need a large number of capable people. Your talents can be of use to the Chancellor.”
Suo Kexiao shook his head, “Have you considered that perhaps we don’t wish to serve Bai Zhongqi? Working for someone who has defeated us many times is very undignified.”
Jun Jiushao was unabashed, “Did serving under the Galactic Emperor grant you dignity?”
Su Shuang, already engaging in negotiation, said, “At least we had autonomy, the ability to own our fleet and our territories.”
Zang Xingyan laughed at his demand, responding, “You’re asking for too much. Forget it, if that’s the case, then you might as well die.”
With a casual extension of his finger, the two men were lifted by an unknown force, an overwhelming power gripping their necks, causing them to gasp for breath.
Real fear struck Su Shuang and Suo Kexiao then; both were Star Warrior masters, possessing strength incomparable to ordinary people, yet incredibly, in Zang Xingyan’s presence, they could muster no power whatsoever.
The first to capitulate was Suo Kexiao, who shrieked, “If it’s surrender, then it’s surrender! I am willing to serve the Chancellor of Iridium Star!”
Su Shuang held out a bit longer, and it wasn’t until he was nearly out of breath that he reluctantly squeezed out a few words, “I—I am willing too.”
Zang Xingyan laughed aloud, drew back his Star Energy, and let Su Shuang fall to the ground as well.
Jun Jiushao took out two capsule-like objects from her pocket and handed one to each of them. These capsules were no ordinary items, but small globules of Bai Zhongqi’s raw essence, in an unactivated state. Once activated, they had the ability to assimilate any contacted material into the raw essence, thereby destroying the original life form.
Zang Xingyan said with a smile, “You both are Star Warrior masters and probably think no poison could affect you, but this isn’t poison. You could think of it as poison, though; if you do anything against the United Empire of Iridium Star, or simply make the Chancellor unhappy, he would kill you outright.”
Su Shuang couldn’t resist mocking, “As a sovereign who wants to rule the Galaxy, he really doesn’t have the magnanimity to tolerate others?”
Jun Jiushao retorted sharply, “It’s because he wants to rule the Galaxy that he can erase whoever displeases him. If you disagree, why don’t you try ruling the Galaxy?”
Zang Xingyan rarely saw Jun Jiushao so combative in her speech; he clapped approvingly and then said, “Alright, you two will start as Captains in the Unified Empire Army, training soldiers from various civilizations participating in the United Empire of Iridium Star. Of course, with the expansion of the Unified Empire Army and the accumulation of your merits, there’s also a good chance to rise to a prominent position just as before.”
Su Shuang and Suo Kexiao exchanged a look, each seeing the other’s resignation and a faint glimmer of expectation.
