From Overlord To Multiverse.-Chapter 82 - 81: Upgrading Levels, Stealing World Items!
Chapter 82: Chapter 81: Upgrading Levels, Stealing World Items!
While sneaking through the grand halls of the palace, Lioro remained hidden, his steps silent. As he passed a lavish corridor, he noticed several angelic beings suspended mid-air—radiant summons standing vigil beside their summoners.
A system prompt appeared before him.
[Skill ’Summon Angel’ tier 2 has been detected. Would you like to learn this spell?]
It seemed quite useful.
[Skill Points: 96 → 95]
The knowledge flowed into him, and he understood the structure of the spell instantly. With a few more rounds of reconnaissance completed, Lioro retreated from the palace grounds and left the Slane Theocracy undetected. Once he reached a distant, isolated plain far from any eyes, he activated his teleportation magic and blinked into a remote place.
There, beneath a quiet sky, he summoned his status screen.
[Comprehensive Level: 67 / 100]
If he was going to launch an assault on the Theocracy then he should increase his level as an assurance.
Opening the experience management tab, he channeled experience into his class levels.
Master Fencer rose from level 5 to level 10.
Master Lancer surged from level 2 to level 10.
Then finally—his most powerful and prestigious class.
World Champion increased from level 1 to level 5.
Power surged through his limbs, racing through every fiber of his being. His heart pounded with newfound might. A radiant aura briefly shimmered around him before fading into silence.
He called up his full status window and looked at it.

Lioro smiled in satisfaction. He was nearing the peak. Only nineteen levels remained before he would reach level 100.
He could have pushed further, but the amount of experience required was starting to become absurd. From level 67 to 81 alone had cost him over 80 million experience points. A ridiculous figure—and it would only get worse with each level.
As he stood silently, reflecting on his growth, a new notification appeared.
[World Champion Class reached Lv. 5... Equipment is being generated...]
His eyes lit up.
He had almost forgotten. The World Champion class granted unique gear when reaching level five.
"Wait... is it random?" he muttered. "Can I not even choose the type?"
Just as his brow furrowed in confusion, a ball of radiant white light materialized before him. It pulsed and shimmered, then began to shift.
The light lengthened, twisted, and started forming a distinct shape.
"Is it a sword? A spear? No... this—what the hell?"
Under Lioro’s increasingly dumbfounded expression, the glow receded to reveal a massive silver-white hammer. Its form was elegant but brutal. A large red gemstone pulsed in the center of the hammerhead, and divine patterns traced themselves along its haft. Holy light radiated off its surface like it belonged to the heavens themselves.
"A hammer? A warhammer?! Are you kidding me?"
The weapon floated solemnly toward him like a sacred relic bestowing itself upon its rightful wielder.
Still in disbelief, Lioro reached out and grasped it. The instant his fingers wrapped around the handle, a wave of divine energy surged through his arm. The hammer felt impossibly solid, yet perfectly balanced, like it was crafted just for him.
Suppressing the instinct to start swearing, he opened its status window to examine the weapon in detail.

Looking at the Warhammer, Lioro couldn’t help but give it a better look.
Without any warning, he somehow became a member of the demolition team!
The corners of Lioro’s mouth twitched fiercely as he placed the Warhammer inside his inventory.
Taking in a few deep breaths, he calmed himself down and looked at his status again.
Looking at his World Champion class again, he found that its level 5 - "World Equipment" skill disappeared.
’So I can’t decrease my level and increase it again to farm free equipment?’
The idea of farming unlimited items was squashed before it could even begin.
Well, no matter.
Sitting on the ground, Lioro started planning the path to stealing the world items.
’Except for the ’Dwnfall Of Castle And Country’ which is worn by the old woman, other World Item was stored inside the vault.....’
Of the five World Items, 1 was with the old woman, three were inside a tightly guarded vault, and the last one was situated at the top of a tower.
’The one in the tower should be responsible for blocking teleportation.....’
Lioro fell into thinking.
Antilene Heran Fouche was responsible for guarding the vault containing the three World Items.
Everything else, he can pretty much bulldoze his way through.
After finalizing a clear plan in his mind, Lioro waited till night before springing into action.
----
Slane Theocracy.
Nighttime.
Antilene leaned against her window, silently watching the moonlight bathe the sleeping city. A Rubik’s cube idly rotated in her fingers, clicking with quiet rhythm.
Just as she turned to head outside for a breath of fresh air—
Boom.
A violent explosion shattered the silence.
Without hesitation, Antilene spun back and peered out of the window. Black smoke billowed into the night sky from the palace’s prayer room. Flames flickered at the edges of the blast site, spreading quickly.
Her heart pounded.
And then—
"Protect the World Items!"
The sharp, commanding voice echoed across the entire palace.
Antilene instantly recognized it—the captain of the Black Scripture.
"A thief in the Slane Theocracy? Who is so bold?" she muttered, narrowing her eyes as they caught sight of a shadow moving through the chaos below.
Her lips curled into a cold smile. Gripping her scythe, she leapt from the window at a speed no human should possess.
At the same time, inside the broken prayer room, the naked figure of an old woman could be seen lying unconscious on the floor.
Just a moment ago, she was performing her night prayers.
Then, without any warning, a black figure appeared out of nowhere, knocked her out before she could react, and took her clothes without her consent.
Just what type of criminal predatory behaviour was this?
Even an old woman like her wasn’t spared!
Meanwhile, further down a palace corridor, Lioro was mentally screaming while running.
’Why the hell wasn’t she wearing anything under the World Item?! Damn it, my eyes!’
The grotesque memory was burned into his mind like a curse.
"Stop him!"
A shout rang out, and a group of ninjas leapt from the rafters above, blades flashing.
Clank!
One of them stared at his shattered sword in disbelief. His strike had landed cleanly—yet it was as though he’d hit an immovable wall. Lioro’s divine-grade Black Dragon armor remained pristine.
Without a word, Lioro surged forward like a dark tempest, brushing aside resistance as if they were ants beneath his feet.
"Thief!"
"Attack him!"
"H-how is he so strong!?"
They shouted, but it was futile.
A summoned tier 2 angel attempted to intercept him—only to be shattered into glimmering fragments by a single, casual blow.
Lioro didn’t slow down.
Turn after turn, he advanced rapidly through the palace until he reached it—the entrance to the vault.
Standing before the massive sealed door was a man clad in ornate silver armor, his black hair falling over sharp eyes.
The captain of the Black Scripture.
A supposed "God-child."
"Who are you?" he asked, voice calm but sharp, clearly aware of the threat before him.
Lioro didn’t bother replying.
"Tenth-tier magic: Hollow Purple."
The captain’s pupils shrank in horror as multiple swirling spheres of annihilation materialized.
He moved without thinking—dodging with all his strength, shattering a wall as he launched himself into the next hallway.
"Stay down." Lioro said coldly, now standing before the vault, multiple Hollow Purples orbiting lazily around him.
The captain’s eyes widened further. The only reason he was alive was because Lioro had let him live.
’What... what kind of monster...?’
Turning his back to the downed captain, Lioro casually gestured.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
Three Hollow Purples slammed into the vault’s enchanted door, obliterating it in a series of violent flashes. The path forward lay exposed.
Without hesitation, Lioro stepped inside.
A short while later, Lioro emerged again, now making his way toward the last World Item—housed at the top of a tower known to suppress teleportation.
But as he moved through the corridors, something felt... wrong.
There was no resistance.
’Strange. No one’s trying to stop me anymore?’
He doubted they had surrendered. That didn’t seem likely. They were probably gathering their elites for one coordinated response.
’Let’s see what their final move is.’
He narrowed his eyes beneath his helmet and quickened his pace.
His plan had been simple. First, disable the mind-control World Item on the old woman—an item even he didn’t want to risk letting activate. Then bulldoze his way through the rest.
With his current power, there were few in this country who could truly challenge him.
If he really wanted to, he could have leveled the entire palace with his bottomless mana pool.
But he wasn’t here to destroy indiscriminately. And he honestly didn’t want to kill the humans here.
And yes, he did have a soft spot for non-monster-type humanoid races.
If they had been lizardmen....heh
After a few seconds, he reached his final destination.
A massive open corridor.
Waiting for him were dozens of troops—elite guards, summoned angels, casters, and priests all arrayed in battle formation.
And at the front, a small elite party stood firm.
Antilene Heran Fouche stood in front, her scythe glowing faintly under the moonlight.
Beside her were five others:
The Black Scripture’s captain, standing once again.
An old man in a black overcoat, looking like a weeb who has never touched grass.
A mage in a swimsuit? Hm, she has nice assets.....
A brat in green clothes.
And lastly, a grim, hulking man wielding a shield nearly as big as himself.
Lioro paused and gave the mage a few more looks.
Damn she looks nice.
He felt the pain caused by the old woman was healing.
’They regrouped faster than I expected...’
One of his key advantages had been surprise. But the Theocracy’s coordination was clearly far beyond what he had assumed.
No matter.
Antilene stepped forward, smiling confidently.
"So you’re the intruder."
Her tone was composed.
She could have engaged Lioro earlier, but after hearing the Black Scripture captain’s warning—that the enemy might be a True Dragon Lord, she stopped and wore her divine class item before coming.
And it seems her decision was correct.
’This man... gives off a powerful aura....’
She stared at his flawless Black Dragon’s armour.
Antilene was just about to speak again when Lioro moved.
He closed the distance in an instant.
His speed was monstrous.
Caught off guard, Antilene barely managed to raise her arm in defense.
But Lioro’s punch connected anyway.
The resulting shockwave sent her flying like a cannonball, crashing through walls and I to the distance.
The entire chamber froze.
Even Lioro blinked.
He had expected to overpower her—but this....
The gap was larger than he’d anticipated.
His divine gear, combined with high, special, and epic-tier class bonuses... It was beginning to show just how overwhelming he had become.
Ding
Multiple system notifications chimed in when his fist connected with Antilene.
New job classes had been unlocked, but all of them were Medium jobs. Only one stood out: Lesser Valkyrie.
It was a diluted version of his existing special class Valkyrie.
’She doesn’t even have a single high-class job...?’
Lioro exhaled in disappointment.
It seemed he had overestimated his opponents.
But it didn’t matter anymore.
As the last world item was almost within his grasp.
