Chapter 43 - Cell's Suprise
Cado chuckled and shook his head helplessly.
"Wait a second—!"
Trunks saw Cado's reaction and immediately felt a bad premonition.
He shouted in alarm, trying to stop what he thought was coming.
"Heh, finally scared now? If you know what's good for you, move aside and let me go. I swear I won't touch the kid."
Cell sneered darkly, his tone dripping with sinister confidence. Inside, he was practically giddy with triumph.
'So, this Cado kid did matter to Trunks.'
Good. That meant his gamble was paying off.
Thank goodness he had the foresight to use him—otherwise, today would've been a total disaster.
But Trunks just looked at Cell like he was watching a clown perform.
Rolling his eyes, Trunks turned to Cado and said.
"Mr. Cado, would you mind if I ended this monster myself?"
Cado glanced at Trunks' firm, unwavering gaze, then shrugged with a smile.
"Sure. He's all yours."
Cado understood what this meant to Trunks.
The Androids, Cell, everything—they were all products of one madman's obsession: Dr. Gero.
Gero was already long gone, killed by the very things he created.
The Androids were dead too—Cado had handled that part himself.
Now only Cell remained.
Trunks wanted to be the one to erase this final threat. To close the Chapter with his own hands.
"Thank you, Mr. Cado."
Trunks bowed slightly, gratitude in his voice.
Then, without hesitation, his eyes locked back onto Cell. His energy flared again, sharp and ruthless.
Meanwhile, Cell was frozen in place, utterly dumbfounded.
'What... just happened?'
Before he could even wrap his head around it—
CRACK!
A punch slammed into Cell's gut, fast and heavy like a meteor strike.
He howled in pain as his vision spun.
And the "hostage" he'd been holding a second ago—Cado—was now standing casually on a nearby hillside, arms folded, watching with amusement.
"No... no way. That's not possible. How the hell did he move so fast?"
Cell stared, eyes wide, disbelief plastered across his face.
Cado had hit him moving so fast that even Cell, in his panic, hadn't sensed a thing.

One clean hit to the stomach—and he was gone, standing safely away as if nothing had happened.
"Cell..." Trunks said coolly, voice laced with disdain.
"Using Cado as a hostage? You're really scraping the bottom of the barrel."
"If I hadn't stopped myself just now, you'd already be space dust."
"But don't worry... it won't be long now."
He was right.
Picking a fight with Cado?
That was like a birthday candle challenging the sun.
Cell looked back at Cado, now standing atop the hill like some martial arts legend. His aura calm, composed, yet full of terrifying confidence.
"HAAAAAH!"
Trunks' voice roared like thunder.
Cell snapped out of his daze just in time to see Trunks closing in—faster than ever before.
Desperately, Cell tried to defend himself, but Trunks had the upper hand.
His sword slashed through the air like lightning.
Shing! Shing! Shing!
Three, four quick strikes—each one tearing into Cell's body.
Purple blood sprayed in all directions, painting the sky with glistening arcs of gore.
"Wait! Trunks, please! Stop!"
"I-I swear I won't do anything bad ever again!"
Cell's voice cracked with desperation. He was cornered, shredded, and out of options.
Trunks didn't even slow down.
"I don't trust your promises. You staying alive is the biggest threat."
Trunks' eyes were steely, his resolve unwavering.
He wasn't that naive boy from before.
The world had taught him the hard way: monsters don't change. They only wait.
And sure enough, Cell's body was falling apart.
His regeneration had hit its limit.
Even with Piccolo's DNA, his battered frame couldn't keep up anymore.
"Don't worry..." Trunks said coldly.
"You'll see Dr. Gero soon."
"You can ask him yourself why he made you suffer through this pathetic existence."
Then, without another word, Trunks slammed his foot into the ground.
BOOM!
The earth trembled violently as the shockwave launched Cell into the air like a ragdoll.
There was no resistance left. No strength. No hope.
"AAAAH—!!!"
"MASENKO—HA!!!"
With a deafening roar, Trunks raised his hands above his head, crossing them just like his mentor had taught him.
A golden energy blast burst forth, slicing through the air like divine judgment.
It was Gohan's signature move.
And this time, Trunks poured everything into it.
KABOOOOOM!
The sky erupted in blinding light.
Cell didn't even have time to scream.
When the explosion cleared... there was nothing left.
No smoke, no dust. Not even ashes.
In the fading glow, Trunks could almost see Gohan smiling down at him.
From the hill, Cado watched it all unfold, then let out a small breath of relief.
Finally.
Because he knew what lurked inside Cell's body—a special core, a failsafe cell cluster.
If that hadn't been obliterated, Cell might've regenerated yet again.
But now... not even dust remained.
Cado nodded to himself.
"Good job, Trunks."
Without a word, he raised two fingers to his forehead and teleported to Trunks' side.
"All threats on Earth have been dealt with," Cado said, placing a hand on Trunks' shoulder.
"Let's go home."
"Yeah!"
Trunks grinned, nodding firmly.
He rested his hand on Cado's shoulder too, eyes full of respect and admiration.
Without Cado, humanity might still be suffering.
Cell, the Androids, everything—they might've returned to plunge the Earth into chaos all over again.
But now, thanks to Cado, peace had a chance.
And in Trunks' heart, Cado's place was already cemented—right alongside Bulma and Gohan.
WHOOSH!
With a final burst of ki, the two vanished.

When they reappeared, they stood in the heart of a city still healing from war.
The roads were smooth. The sky was clear.
Side by side, they walked forward across the repaired ground, two protectors returning from the battlefield.
Wherever they passed, people looked at them with admiration and warmth.
Some called out, waving, asking them to come by for a meal or a drink.
Trunks and Cado politely declined them all.
"Trunks..." Cado said as they strolled through the peaceful ruins of a once-torn future.
"I've been here long enough."
"It's time I go home."
