Chapter 37 - "[Lets play a game!]"
Chapter: Meeting with Princess Alice part 2
|"Then on one condition?" Asahi happily said.
"Condition?" 2x
He nodded earnestly. "Yeah. "I've realized there's still a lot I don't understand about the supernatural world. In exchange for telling you about my magic, I'd like something in return."
"Which is?" Princess Alice asked, intrigued.
"First, I would like you to not expose my identity as Campione to others or possibly not tell anyone regarding about me. "
To ensure their casual life.
As Tet suggested, they must make a deal with them, as Princess Alice, the organization's speaker, certainly has the power in Europe to do that.
As for Lucretia, despite being freelance, she still has many connections.
That's why, in exchange.
Asahi is willing to tell them slightly about his magic, but not all of them.
He was not stupid enough to tell them all of his power.
His gaze turned sharp.
"Second, I want information...regarding these all supernatural worlds And lastly—"
As Tet said to him.
'Information is valuable, so he needs to know more about the Supernatural world.'
Then, as a last request, Asahi, grinning widely, played on his lips.
"Teach me magic."
Alice and Lucretia both stared at him after his proposal.
"You... want us to teach you magic?" Alice repeated, blinking in mild surprise.
Lucretia tilted her head, analyzing all the conditions he said and a smile formed.
Despite his usual calm expression, Asahi felt slightly nervous under their gazes.
"It's not a demand," he clarified; it's a fair exchange. I'll explain my magic, but I want knowledge about the supernatural world—especially magic."
He was curious to know what kind of magic they were using compared to what he had learned from Tet.
Alice leaned back slightly, tapping her chin with her finger. "And you also want us to keep your identity as a Campione a secret in the supernatural world?"
"Exactly. You cant tell anyone about me without asking me, Im sure you can handle that. "
There was a brief silence.
Then—
Lucretia chuckle.
Princess Alice gave her a sharp glance. "Miss Lucretia, what's so funny?"
The Witch of Sardinia swirled her teacup idly, her smirk widening. "Oh, nothing, dear. It's just... I find this side of him quite charming."
She turned her gaze to Asahi, her expression both playful and calculating and thoughtful. 'You're young, but you understand the weight of information. That makes you far more interesting than I initially thought.'
"Hehe~ I'm not that charming," Asahi said, rubbing the back of his head, slightly flustered.
Meanwhile, Alice looked at Asahi's expression for some reason. She felt irritated and closed her eyes briefly, considering his offer in silence.
"I just have one question," Alice finally said.
"What is it?"
"I can accept your deal. However, what happens if someone else exposes your identity?" Her calm voice and piercing gaze made it clear this was serious.
If Lord Asahi is seriously making a deal with us to hide his identity in the supernatural world, then this is a serious matter to him.
"Another party?"
Alice's expression turned unreadable. "Black Prince Alexandre."
'Right...I forgot about him.' Asahi inwardly sighed though,
He remembered that his brother (Black Prince Alexandre) was still coming here to resume discussing Lucretia-nee's research.
'Additionally, he still has your armor. We should make a deal with him with a slight surprise greeting, as your mother said to you.' Tet spoke, looking forward to meeting his kin.
'Indeed. But first, we must secure the deal here. Use your [Authority] to make sure things end smoothly. You can deal with your kin afterward..' Amaterasu agrees to Tet
After some consideration, Asahi exhaled and nodded. "Nothing changes. I just ask that you stay true to our deal, and I'll deal with him when he arrives.
Alice studied him for a long moment and realized there was something in his words, but her emerald eyes were unreadable.
Then she nodded, "I see..." She added, "I'm sure he owes you. Make sure he pays properly." Princess Alice coldly smiles, like she has a connection to the Black Prince.
"...O-of course, "
Asahi would like to ask about her connection with Black Prince; however, it seems it's not good...
Then Princess Alice smiled cheerfully and spoke, "Very well, You have my word. I accept your condition."
Asahi blinked. "You do?"
"Of course," Alice responded smoothly. "Gaining insight into an unknown form of magic is worth the price of some knowledge. Besides..."
"Very well, I accept your condition."
Asahi blinked. "You do?"
"Of course," Alice responded smoothly. "Gaining insight into an unknown form of magic is worth the price of some knowledge. Besides..."
Her emerald eyes flickered with curiosity as she leaned forward slightly.
"...I'm interested in seeing how much you can learn."

A slight grin tugged at Asahi's lips. "Then let's make it official."
Without hesitation, he snapped his finger and chanted:
"[Lets play a game!]"
A golden scroll manifested between them, inscribed with divine script.
The words pulsed with power as the contract took shape.
Alice and Lucretia closed their eyes briefly, their minds instinctively registering the rules imposed upon them.
The weight of the pact settled into place, an invisible force binding their agreement in absolute terms.
When Lucretia opened her eyes again, her expression was intrigued and amused.
She traced a gloved finger across the floating scroll, her violet eyes glinting with Asahi shrugged. "Something like that."
Alice, who had been quietly observing, suddenly murmured under her breath,
"A divine contract bound to a game...Any game can played.... Does that mean there's a possibility one could wager even Authorities or divine power in such a contest?"
Her sharp gaze flickered toward Asahi, realization dawning upon her.
Asahi smiles mysteriously.
Who knows what he is agreeing to or not?
After a moment, Alice refocused and asked, "What game do we play?"
Asahi clapped his hands together, his grin widening.
"We'll play rock-paper-scissors," he declared confidently. "I'll use scissors, and you both take paper. Once the game is complete, our contract is sealed."
Alice narrowed her eyes. "How absurdly simple."
Lucretia, however, laughed lightly. "Oh, but dear, that's the charm of it. Simple, clean, and absolute."
Alice sighed but smirked in amusement. "Very well. Let's get this over with."
The three of them raised their hands in unison.
"[Aschente!]"
Their voices rang out as the divine contract finalized, their game unfolding exactly as Asahi had declared.
And with that, the deal was sealed.

In the Hotel Su Gologone, Sardinia.
The warm glow of candlelight flickered against the stone walls of the secluded lounge in Hotel Su Gologone.
The faint scent of aged wood and expensive wine lingered in the air, mixing with the quiet crackling of the fireplace.
Footsteps echoed through the hallway.
A man moved with measured steps and abruptly halted. His posture was poised, his presence commanding yet restrained.
A man walking in the hole began to stop where he is standing,
The man name Denis, known as Sir Iceman—the "Unflying Dutchman," knight mage, and trusted right hand of the Black Prince—stood still, his keen eyes locked on the slightly ajar door ahead.
*Click* *Creak*
A door ahead of him creaked open.
Beyond it, a black-haired man dressed in a white polo shirt with his sleeves rolled to his forearms leaned slightly forward, scrutinizing something on the table. His sharp, focused gaze analyzed the object before him as if deciphering a puzzle only he could comprehend.
[The 4th New Generation Campione, Nobleman of God Speed, Prince of Black Lightning, Noble Thief, Black Prince Alec, Alexander Gascoigne.]
Image of him:
Sir Iceman's gaze drifted downward.
Scattered across the polished table before Alexandre lay a set of ragged clothes and a sword.
The clothes were torn, with scorched edges—clear signs of a fierce battle.
The katana's hilt was wrapped in black silk, and its handguard and fittings were lined with gold details. The sheath was black with dark red circles, and an intricate saw-like pattern ran along its sides.
Yet, despite their ruined appearance, Alexandre seemed unusually focused on them and ran his fingers lightly over the burned fabric.
Looking in the second, Sir iceman realized the clothes were imbued with magic especially the katana were radiated a quiet, ominous black energy
But something is different.
An enchantment?
Especially in the sword flowing something?
Magic?
No..
Magic can't describe this energy.
It's the same but different...
His voice remained steady as he finally spoke. "...Where did this come from?"
Alexandre smirked, still idly running his fingers over the ruined material. His black eyes flickered up briefly, amusement dancing within them.
"Curious, aren't you?" He mused, before leaning back slightly, crossing his arms. "A rather interesting piece, wouldn't you say?"
Alex showed the clothes to him.
"They're infused with protective enchantments—complex ones. Someone went through great lengths to fortify them."
A whole set of rag clothes was imbued with an unknown powerful enchantment magic, and some small logo of the bishop's chest piece was embroidered.
Sir Iceman didn't respond to the provocation. His gaze remained fixed on the fabric, his mind calculating. "It's imbued with something unfamiliar spell. Not just any magic you see."
Alexandre let out a soft chuckle, swirling the wine glass nearby before setting it down. "That's precisely why it caught my attention."
Sir Iceman stepped closer. "And the sword?"
Alexander's fingers trailed toward the katana, tapping the sheath thoughtfully. "That's the real mystery."
With a firm grip, he grasped the hilt and pulled.
Nothing happened.
Sir Iceman's sharp eyes flickered with interest. Alexander applied more force, but the blade remained locked in place, refusing to be drawn. The smirk on his lips faded ever so slightly.
"Hmph." He released his grip and flexed his fingers. "It's resisting me."
Sir Iceman folded his arms. "It's bound. Some form of enchantment restriction or curse?"
Alexander let out a quiet chuckle. "That's my best guess. When I first tried to pull it, the katana sent a shockwave spell at me. So, my conclusion is that the sword doesn't recognize me. Or perhaps... it only answers to one person."
Iceman studied the katana. "That would explain the strange energy radiating from it. It's not just enchanted—it has a will of its own."
His expression remained unreadable, but a glint of thought flickered in his eyes. "Did you retrieve this yourself?"
Alexander shook his head. "No. It was... given to me."
...
A silence settled between them.
He was speechless at how his leader was.
Iceman's mind raced through the possibilities.
Given?
Not stealing?
That was an unusual statement for a man like Alexander Gascoigne. Had someone deliberately handed this over to him?
As if he was telling the truth—an unknown party was involved.
"And the one who brought it?"
A knowing smirk played on Alexandre's lips. "Let's just say I saved someone connected to a certain individual we've been hearing so much about."
Sir Iceman's eyes flickered with intrigue. "The mysterious Red hair King."
A pause. Then, his voice carried a sharper edge. "So, you really met him?"
After the battle against the false god Minos, he withdrew from the scene, leaving him to deal with the following events.
He had yet to hear the details of what transpired at Mount Etna.
Yet, instead of recounting a battle, Alexandre had only brought this—a set of ruined, enchanted clothes with an unknown origin.
"So, Why are you here, Iceman?" The voice was smooth, carrying Alexander's usual casual arrogance.
Sir Iceman's gaze lingered on the tattered fabric for a moment longer before he finally spoke. "I got a news the Princess Alice has gone missing in her room."
Alexandre raised an eyebrow, but his expression remained unreadable as he picked up his wine glass again.
After the incident, Princess Alice, in her astral form, returned to her body due to exhaustion from what had happened before Alexander knew it.
Princess Alice returned once again; instead of in astral form, she was in her real body, her teacher and maid, and some bodyguards who currently rented all the rooms in this hotel.
Now that Princess Alice is missing, her servant and teacher must be...
"Her attendants are in a panic," Iceman continued. "They've requested some nearby organization assistance to find her."
...
For a brief moment, silence hung in the air.
The flickering candlelight cast shifting shadows across Alexandre's face as he sipped his drink slowly. Then, with an amused smirk, he set the glass down.
"Tell all other servants of that witch to cease all their worry. " His golden eyes gleamed with confidence. "Even if she is a frail woman, she cannot be kidnapped so easily."
He leaned back slightly, fingers tapping idly against the table. "In fact... I think I know where I might be now."
Iceman's eyes narrowed slightly. "And where would that be?"
Alexandre's smirk widened slightly, but he didn't answer immediately.
Instead, he let the mystery linger, his amusement growing as he watched Iceman's calculating expression.
"Now, now," he said smoothly, "where's the fun in giving away all the answers at once?"
Then, with a casual shrug, he finally spoke.
"You'll see soon enough."
"As you wish, I will tell them immediately." Sir Iceman left the room quietly and did what Alexander ordered.
