Chapter 272: Chapter 272: Prison Within The Pages

[Prison Within The Pages]

[Rank]: 2

[Effect]: Your Dark Grimoire becomes a living prison where you can store or imprison any type of being, given that your power is not overwhelmed by it. In this dimension, the prisoners can interact with each other if you allow; the state of the prisoners never change; you can mentally torment any prisoner; you can drain the power of the prisoners and store it separately or use it to your desire. The Prison can be manifested as an attack. You can design the appearance of the Prison as you like. You may assign ’Warden’ title to any being within the Prison and give them authority over the average prisoner.

[Cost]: 15,000 Chaos Point (One time only - Cannot be your own Chaos)

The spell manifested inside Mater’s head. A prisoner of imagination came into fruition.

The leopard widened its eyes slightly, "A pocket dimension spell? I am lucky!"

Creating a pocket dimension was not hard for Warlock. Give them enough time and Chaos Spheres and they could design a Chaos Ritual big enough to materialize a pocket dimension.

But there was one constant rule of pocket dimension. That it could never be moved. Pocket dimensions that could do that were usually extremely rare Artifacts. Mater even knew one Legendary Artifact that could do that.

Prison Within The Pages was obviously incomparable to a Legendary Artifact. But still, it was a very impressive spell. One that many Warlocks would kill to have.

’15,000 Chaos Point... That’s around 3,000 Chaos Spheres. That’s a steep price.’

The leopard grinned widely, ’A steep price that I’m willing to pay.’

There were more than enough wraiths for Mater to farm. If he recalled correctly, there were at least another dozen of Void Gates. Those that were beneath the ground of the affected town.

Mater had also not cleaned all of the roaming wraiths in the area. He and Crow were focusing on dealing with the Void Gates all day.

The leopard lay its head on the soft mattress and rested. Crow was still busy socializing with the soldiers.

Personally, Crow didn’t care that much but Mater had asked him to try and establish a good relationship with the military.

"We don’t know if we might need them in the future or not."

Donovan was a Colonel, a high enough position in the military with proportional influence. Crow never played war so he didn’t understand much why Mater wanted him to do it. But Crow didn’t question either and followed the plan.

In the next morning, Mater and Crow continued on sweeping the place.

"Should we head over to the Void Gates, Master?"

"Let’s clean the roaming wraiths first. I have a need for Chaos Spheres."

"Of course, Master."

With Crow’s speed, it was easy to gather the roaming wraiths for Mater to feast.

The soldiers at the military base saw Assassin bolting in the air like a black lightning and repeatedly fed his leopard the NCEs raw.

"Is he... Is he feeding Spots NCEs?" A soldier’s lips trembled.

Colonel Donovan snatched the binoculars.

"Yup. That is exactly what he is doing."

"But why? Won’t Spots go crazy?"

"I doubt it. There are many unique familiars out there. Maybe the specialty of Spots is that it could dissolve NES that way?"

The soldiers continued to theorize. Mater slowly gained more and more Chaos Spheres.

He and Crow successfully swept most of the wraiths at noon. There were around 80 of them roaming around. New wraiths were still walking out of Void Gates but their numbers were limited. Only one or two wraiths spawned every hour. As long as Mater sealed the Void Gates soon, it would pose no problem.

This short task gained Mater an additional 476 Chaos Spheres, making his total Chaos Spheres 3346.

"Well. That was easy." Mater yawned lazily. He really didn’t do much and Crow did all the work for him.

According to the report, the remaining Void Gates were beneath the corrupted town. That would be their next destination.

"Should we find a way down, Master?" Crow said.

"No need, Crow. We can just dig straight down."

The leopard flew into the air. It opened its mouth wide and spammed Nether Beam into the ground.

"What in the holy hell..." Colonel Donovan watched everything from afar with the binoculars. He couldn’t help but comment.

Mater drilled out a hole straight down underground with his non-stop Nether Beam. The Assassin and the leopard jumped down.

Mater found a secluded corner to sit down. He spat out the Dark Grimoire and let it float in the air. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Alright. It’s time for an upgrade."

Mater pulled his Mimicry Mask away and deactivated the Demonic Transformation Watch. The leopard turned back to the small black cat.

Crow stood guard nearby to make sure no one would disturb his Master.

The Dark Grimoire flipped on its own and stopped at the page that had the Page of Imprisonment.

Then, the black cat spat out 3,000 Chaos Spheres from within its Demonic Arsenal.

The entire cave was lit up by the light of the crowded Chaos Spheres. They filled the ceiling like fire ants.

"Prison Within The Pages. I summon you!"

The black cat flew up in the air. The Dark Grimoire in front of it. The 3,000 Chaos Spheres circled around them. The entire cave was filled with the color red.

With his mind, Mater constructed the Prison. He gave it three floors, spanning from top to bottom.

The Floor of Blizzard where the power of Death Ice shall reside.

The Floor of Darkness where the power of Nether shall reside.

And the Floor of Infernal where the power of Hellfire shall reside.

Mater constructed the Prison based on the power of his three servants, Aurora, Crow, and the currently disabled Bash.

At the same time, a country wide phenomenon spread over the entire Confederation. Cold wind and snow filled the North. Black clouds that swallowed all light filled the West. And harsh sunlight that could melt plastic filled the East.

The phenomenon was fueled with a huge amount of NES that caused worldwide unrest. Every single country thought that there might be a huge invasion within the Confederation.
