Kelly’s POV

“That too!” Snow said excitedly after she saw a box of chocolate. Pierce chuckled and walked towards the section of the chocolates while carrying her. I watched her as she grabbed two boxes which only fit in her arms.

“You want more?”

“Pierce, that’s enough. She’d be hyperactive again.”

Pierce looked at me and smirked. “Just one box, then?”

I nodded and smiled when he talked to his daughter and she put one box of chocolate back.

They went beside me and put the box on the cart. I pushed the push cart again and we continued shopping. After the groceries, Pierce brought the shopping bags in his car while Snow and I waited inside the mall.

“Aunt Emily!”

Snow pointed at someone and a smirk slowly crept on my lips after I saw Emily walking around the mall looking so annoyed. Behind her was Matt Foster.

“Let’s go to Aunt Emily, mommy!”

I shook my head at Snow. “No, sweetie. We’re here with daddy, right?”

She blinked and smiled. “Yes! Mommy, is daddy Pierce my real daddy?”

I smiled at her and bent my body forward to level my face on her. “Do you like him?”

“I love daddy Pierce, mommy. Can he be my real daddy?”

I nodded. “Yes, pumpkin.”

Her eyes widened. “You’ll marry him?”

I showed her my ring. “Yes, baby. I will marry your daddy.”

She giggled while covering her mouth cutely. “My mommy and daddy are getting married. I’m so happy!”

I chuckled and messed her hair up. “We will be a happy family, pumpkin. Me, daddy, you and another baby.”

Her eyes widened. “I’d have a baby brother?”

I tilted my head. “Hmm! We’re still not sure if it’s a baby brother, sweetheart. But, yes. We’re having another baby.”

“Yey! We’ll be four!”

She was celebrating the good news when Pierce came. He immediately smiled after seeing joy on our daughter’s face..

“What is my baby girl celebrating?” He carried her and Snow cupped his cheeks and kissed his nose.

“Daddy, mommy said we’ll have a baby!”

Pierce glanced at me and smirked before he landed his eyes on her again. “Yes, princess. Are you excited?”

“Yes! I’m excited!”

I smiled when Pierce walked towards me carrying our daughter. He held my hand and planted a soft kiss on my temple as he whispered... “Mom called. She’s inviting us to dinner.”

I looked at him. “You told them?”

“I want to but I need your permission.”

I chuckled and squeezed his hand. “You don’t need my permission, Pierce. You can tell them about us.”

He smiled again and nodded. “I’ll tell the world that you’re mine.”

His words made my heart skip a beat. I stared at him and he smiled while holding my hand. We walked together until I saw someone familiar watching us from afar.

I stared at him as I walked side by side with Pierce. His eyes were blank and...hurt. But the rage that I always see in his eyes had disappeared. It seems to me that he’s already accepted the fact that we’re not for each other.

“Kelly...”

I blinked and glanced at Pierce. When I tried to look at where I saw Klay, he wasn’t there anymore.

“Y-Yeah?”

Pierce’s forehead creased. “What’s wrong?”

I immediately shook my head. “No. Nothing.”

He stared at me for a few seconds before he nodded. “Snow wants to watch cinema later.”

I nodded at him. “Okay. I’ll just go to the washroom.”

“We’ll go with you.”

“No, it’s okay.”

He nodded and let go of my hand. “We’ll be in the department store.”

I smiled and caressed his cheek. I pecked on his lips and Snow’s cheek before I walked towards the restroom.

When I turned to the right where the restrooms are, I saw Klay standing in front of the men’s restroom. He was staring at the air and he looked drowned in deep thoughts.

“Are you stalking me?”

He flinched and looked around before his eyes dropped on me. My lips parted after zi realized the changes on his face. He has dark circles around his eyes. He lost weight. He has facial hair and his hair is kinda long now.

No one’s around and I’m thankful for that.

He pressed his lips together and looked down. He didn’t come near me. He just stood in front of me, hands inside the pocket of his pants.

“Was it your fault?” I asked again. “The exposure of the syndicate members?”

He lifted his face and smiled at me. “I told you I’ll make things right.”

“I still won’t forgive you.”

“As long as I can make up for my sins.”

“There’s nothing you can do to make up for it.”

He looked down again and slowly nodded. “I understand. And I’m happy that you’re happy.”

I was about to say something again when I heard footsteps and a commotion. My eyes widened when I saw a man looking at me while pointing a gun at my head. frёewebηovel.cѳm

I was about to move away when a hand grabbed my wrist and started dragging me out of there.

“Klay!” I growled at him but he didn’t listen.

“Run, Kelly! Those people are after you!”

“What?”

“You unknowingly stepped in the territory of the beasts. You’re in danger.”

“Let me go—Ah!” I screamed and covered my mouth when I heard a gunshot.

My eyes widened again and I angrily pulled my arm from Klay. He faced me with an angry face.

“Kelly, if that man saw you with your family, they’ll be in danger!”

“Why would I believe you?”

“Because you have no choice! I won’t abduct you, so don’t worry. After we get away from him, I’ll let you go.”

I heard another gunshot and when I looked back, the man was chasing us.

Just like what he said, I don’t have a choice. I ran with him and when we got away, he immediately let me go while I rode a taxi and called Pierce’s number and realized that he had called me almost a hundred times since the incident.

I don’t know if I should believe Klay again, the only thing to do now is to make sure that family is safe and investigate the person behind this.
