After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic-Chapter 854: Iโll Listen to My Husband
Isabella Weaver could not stay calm; she was incredibly happy. Embracing Harry Hunter, she excitedly said, "Honey, pinch me to see if Iโm dreaming." ๐ง๐๐๐๐คโฏ๐๐๐ฐ๐ฃโฏ๐ญ.๐คโด๐ฎ
Harry Hunter was reluctant to pinch her. He carried her back to the bed, "Iโve told you to lie down and behave, but you wouldnโt listen. Who told you to get out of bed?"
Isabella Weaver touched her belly with a look of sudden realization, "Oh, so thatโs why you donโt want me to move or go to work anymore!"
"So, are you going to listen to me or not?"
"What if youโre wrong, honey? Should I still listen to you?"
Harry Hunter sat at the edge of the bed and confidently said, "How could I be wrong? You must listen to me. No more work!"
"But Iโve seen others work as usual when theyโre pregnant. Several women in our company worked until they gave birth before taking maternity leave."
"Are they the same as you?"
"Whatโs different?"
"Youโre my wife, Isabella Weaver. Of course, itโs different. Whoever wants to work can work, but you are not allowed to. You just stay home and rest."
He was overwhelmingly domineering, and Isabella couldnโt argue with him, so she decided to compromise for the time being.
Itโs her first time being pregnant, she didnโt know anything, and she even fainted once. Itโs better to be cautious!
Seeing her compromise, Harry Hunter felt a surge of tenderness in his heart. He embraced her and coaxed, "Good girl, what do you want to eat? Iโll have someone make it for you. Do you want to eat whitebait? I can ask Zoe Lewis to make it at the hospital..."
Before he could finish speaking, Isabella Weaver was smiling so much that her eyes curved.
Every time she ate fish, it caused such a commotion that even a helicopter had to be sent out. She truly lived like a pampered princess.
She cupped Harry Hunterโs face with both hands and kissed him, giggling, "No whitebait. I want porridge, green vegetables, and very crunchy sweet and sour cucumbers."
"Thatโs not nutritious; itโs all vegetarian. Order some meat dishes too."
"Then letโs have lotus root pigeon soup?"
"Alright, Iโll have someone prepare it."
Isabella was worried heโd call a helicopter to bring Zoe Lewis over to cook, so she reminded him, "Just let the housekeeper do it. Iโm used to her cooking."
"Got it."
Harry Hunter acknowledged her and then walked aside to make arrangements on the phone, while also calling Ben Hunter to share the good news.
Half-lying on the bed, Isabella Weaver leaned on a soft pillow, her palm gently caressing her flat belly, her eyes and brows radiating joy.
This child was strong. She was running all over the place and even climbed Mount Verity over the weekend, and with Harry Hunterโs reckless behavior, everything was still fine.
Isabellaโs cheeks flushed gently, her heart filled with happiness.
She had somewhat guessed why Harry Hunter didnโt tell her about the pregnancy as soon as she woke up.
Because he didnโt know the test results, he feared they might be bad, and that would make her sad and disappointed.
He bore all the pressure silently by himself.
Sheโs not that fragile; he protects her as if sheโs some precious sapling, unwilling to let her endure any hardships. Is he trying to nurture her into a greenhouse flower?
Harry Hunter finished the call and walked back over, gently wrapping his arms around her, "Youโll stay in the hospital for the next two days. Itโs inconvenient here, but bear with it. Once everything is fine, weโll go home and make you different meals every day."
Isabella Weaver happily leaned on his shoulder, "Okay, Iโll listen to my husband."
Harry Hunter chuckled softly, "How come youโre so obedient? I thought youโd protest again."
"Isnโt it good to be a little obedient?"
"Good, very good."
