The hurt in his eyes.

It was evidence to her that he was hurt,his blue eyes were doing great by hiding the sadness but it was transparent to her the moment she turned to see him staring at her.

His cold deep hateful stares at her.

Why does his face seem to bother her?Why does his opinion of him seem to bother?

She felt instant pity for him for his mother acting out on him without asking who the female was but it was obvious to the family that Zaiden had a thing with her.

After he left the house in anger,the father had a heated argument with his mother and all blame went to Mrs.Knights who brought up the topic about getting her married to him.

It hasn’t been a day of staying in this house but she felt aloof,she blamed herself for agreeing into marrying him because it seems like her fiance has his girlfriend or whatever on his mind that he had to get angry for having her spoil his initial plans with her.

But what made it more difficult for her to understand was the reason why he didn’t tell her he had a girl,why didn’t he tell his family about her and went ahead getting engaged to her.

She could take a heartbreak because it would hurt but at least it won’t hurt that much as long as he gets to be with one he loves.

Zaiden was a really difficult and unpredictable fellow to understand,trying to know what goes on in that mind of his would make one get a really bad migraine everyday.

But why did he kiss her?

She could still remember vividly how his lips were on hers,hot and demanding right in front of his girlfriend.

Not that she had figured out that she was his girlfriend but she had her own assumption about the model, Arianna.

She searched up the lady and was amazed at how popular and how lucky Zaiden would get if they were the ones that got engaged instead of hers.

They would make a really good pair unlike her who only has a backup holding her engagement with him from falling.

What made her confused to the core was that she didn’t find anything related to them dating on the internet, so why did the lady show up and spoil everything for her?

Why did she choose that time to appear making everyone gets antsy about getting her married to Zaiden.

The old man was so exhausted that he didn’t leave a single comment about what happened,it seems as if he was regretting forcing his son. on her without finding out the real truth about his grandson.

He had bidded the family a good night without looking at her,because he knew doing that she would find out the sadness and regret in his eyes but she wasn’t a fool.

She knew when she was wanted and when to let go and now she was left in the middle of the sea to decide which path to follow.

Giving up without finding out the truth doesn’t make sense to her and besides Zaiden hasn’t said anything about getting her to leave since his girlfriend appeared out of the blue.

He only gave her a hateful look before leaving but that was enough for her to decide he didn’t want her here,he didn’t want to see her face talkmore of staying in the same house with her.

She felt suffocated already lying on the bed when it’s obvious the whole family including the one person that was the reason she got to stay in here doesnt need her presence anymore.

Taking the last of her dignity,she stood up going into Zaiden’s room which was opposite to hers,creeping in as to not wake him up but only to discover the room empty,he didn’t make it home and it was really late in the night.

She went into his walk-in closet to take his grey shirt and wore it,it reached her mid thighs as she checked herself in his moiror before walking into her room to take her phone.

She was leaving,she didn’t want to stay and see the look they would send her way tomorrow morning,she still had her dignity.

Luckily the sitting room was devoid of any guards because she made up her mind to leave regardless of any of them stopping her because it was too late in the night.

She gasped holding her heart as she made it out to the front doors only to see the chief of staff,it seemed as if he knew she was going to leave but how?

Then she looked up to notice the Cctv there and figured he might have found her sneaking out but it wasn’t her fault,she needed to be in her own space,she needed to think.

"It’s late miss to be sneaking around the house"The head of staff told her,his hands at his back while he examined the lady who frowned her face at his words.

It seems as if she was really desperate to leave without knowing that she would get caught after all this was a huge mansion and he knows everything that goes on in it.

"I need to leave please,you don’t have to tell them or drive me home,I just need to go back home"she told him,her voice coming out in a really sad and desperate tone ,barely holding her tears,she didn’t want to break down in front of him.

The man looked and examined the lady feeling pity for her at the moment because he understood what was going through her mind;she felt rejected after Zaiden’s girlfriend pulled up.

He really likes the young lady these few days of his madam is asking him to keep tabs and observe her movements and he figured out she wasn’t like other girls.

She was really a beautiful soul and his heart arched a little for seeing her like this,trying to use the last strength she has to leave before she was finally emmbrassed tomorrow.

"Please?"She requested him again when he didn’t make any remark or effort on asking the guard at the gate to open it up for her.

"Okay but on one condition,I get to drive you back. It’s really late and dangerous to walk home alone, ’’George told her,and he felt his heart relaxed when she agreed to his demands.

He went to open up the car which he had the keys with,allowing the young lady in who muttered a thank you to his behaviour before he hopped into the car driving the lady out of the building.

He knew what he was doing was going to cost his madams wrath on him when she wakes up and finds out she was not here,but he couldn’t deny the pretty soul’s request especially when her doe grey eyes looked up at him as if she he only person that could help her at the moment.

Hazel was so lost in her thoughts,her mind giving her the possible chance of what was going to happen once Zaiden gets home,she tried to ignore the chances of getting humiliated but there’s a thin line between the truth and the lies.

The lie was assuring herself that he would choose her when it’s quite obvious that he hates her while the truth was clearly written, her fate had been written she doesn’t deserve happiness.

Then,why did the fairy godmother align her with this kind of fate?

The task which she was given seemed too difficult to do,she knew she was a problem.

She had always known that she was born to be unloved,why would anyone love her?

When the very first people that were her parents abandoned her so why did she brought her hopes high that someone else would do that when she it’s obvius that she’s a fucking disaster anywhere she goes.

No matter how she tries to try not to sound hurt she couldn’t,she would always be the girl that gets rejected by the ones she loves.

The car stopped with the man telling her that they had arrived, she walked out thanking him while she rushed into the house,knocking lightly as to not disturb the neighbors,after some seconds the door was opened with Sunny rubbing her eyes.

"Hazel,oh my god,come in ’’Sunny opened the door ajar holding her hand to notice the look on her face and that’s when she figured out it was true.

She watched the news and saw something that was disturbing her pertaining to her engagement to Zaiden,it said that Zaiden rejected her over some model who people think is his hidden girlfriend.

"Sun"Hazel called her,hugging her as she let the tears drip down her face wetting her cloth and that of her best friend as she patted her back.

"It’s okay Hazel,he’s a jerk,I’m here for you"She said patting her back feeling hurt for seeing her like this.

She had always known this was how it was going to end up,not knowing what it is she had with that playboy who rejected her best friend over some whack.

He was surely going to get it from her.

"I’m sorry,I should have listened to you"Hazel said regretting ever having to meet Avery,regretting how she naively accepted their proposal,it was all her fault.

She cried it all out as she fell asleep doing that,the midnight a reminder that her heart is broken by the Knight family.
