Pain,hurt,anger.

He was hurt.

He was hurt because he was angry at himself.

He was angry at himself because he felt a pain in his chest that he might have done something wrong.

He might have made a mistake that might cost him his happiness,why did he do it?

Was it the right thing to do ?

Did he do the right thing by allowing Arianna out of his life,by setting her free,by letting go of the very person who had been his everything.

Did he make the right decision doing that because he desperately needed a fucking answer to all these question running through his mind that he felt headche from overthinking.

Was he a fool for doing what he did or was it all going to backfire on him?

Is he going to regret letting her go,because she made a mistake that made them seperate.

Although,he was not expecting her back to apologize and try to make up for the past,that couldn’t guarantee the fact that he still loves her after what she did.

There’s a thin line between love and hate and he really couldn’t tell if he hates her. Yes,he’s angry that she changed after leaving him.

He hated that she didn’t keep her promise to him and had to give him false hope that she still loved him when she was having a good time with someone else.

But love was a strong word.

It was a strong word to use when asked how he felt about Arianna right now after seeing Hazel,he was sure it wasn’t love,it all went away when he caught her in the arms of another man.

So was the same thing with the grey eyes Hazel,he didn’t know what he felt about her too.

Was it the fact that he was heartbroken by Ariana and that resulted in him having a liking for her or did he like her?

No,he wasn’t interested in having anything to do with the girl other than to respect his parents’ wish to see him married.

He can never and wasn’t ready for anything called love right now when he’s still trying to recover from what Anna did to him.

The taxi stopped at Luke’s house before he passed some money to the driver who thanked him for paying him extra before leaving the brooding man alone to his thoughts.

"What the fuck?"Luke said the minute he opened the door to face Zaiden with a bottle of champagne in his hands.

He knew the reason he was here,after watching the news about Anna’s intervention in the party he didn’t need anyone telling him what happened before he made way into his house.

"Cheers"Zaiden told him, raising his glass up to clink it together with Luke’s own while he noticed the look he was giving him.

He had a lot of questions to ask him but he held it in waiting for Zaiden to open up first about it.

"I’m confused Luke,I’m really going crazy"Zaiden told him, in a really hurt tone dropping his glass to stare into an unknown space as he poured out his heart to Luke, possibly waiting for him to give him a befitting answer to what was going on in his life.

"I watched the news,I left early so I couldn’t see Anna,she has a great timing for everything,why did she have to appear at your engagement party after what she did?"Luke said, sounding annoyed at Arianna’s shameless attitude.

He was annoyed because he didn’t like how she affected his friend badly,he knew he was still recovering from her cheating on him but appearing suddenly in his life to ask for forgiveness was too stupid of her.

Yes,she did the right thing by trying to ask for his forgiveness which he was sure wasn’t the full intention for her coming back.

He knew Arianna really well,she was quite possessive sometimes and hardly gave up that easily so telling her to give up on Zaiden was like trying to start up some war.

"What did she want?’’He asked further, sitting down on one of the couches to get Zaiden’s full attention.

"You know Anna,she doesn’t give up that easily,she apologized and said she wasn’t dating that guy,they were just having a publicity stunt pulled up for the benefit of both agencies"

"That’s stupid of her to say,does she take you for a fool?"He scoffed when he heard what he just said,as usual she would try sounding convincing so that Zaiden would forgive her and take her back.

It would be a real shame to him if Zaiden considers taking her back,because if he does he will stop being friends with Zaiden.

"What about Hazel?"Luke asked,he had a bad feeling about all these,he had liked Hazel these few minutes of talking to her but he felt bad for the innocent girl because she would probably be regretting why she accepted being his wife when he had another girl in his life.

He needed to know What Zaiden had for her,if he decides to accept Anna then what about his fianceè,the girl who his family has got to accept that they were going to get married.

What path was he going to choose,was he going to listen to his heart and accept Anna because observing him right now,he thinks that’s what he’s trying to do or was he going to accept the girl that had chosen him irrespective of his dislike for her.

Who was he going to choose?

"I don’t know Luke that’s why i come to you,you seem to be the expert at relationship,so I need a bit of your advice don’t be partial"

"What do you mean man?I’m not been partial, it’s just that I really hate Anna"Luke retorted immediately.

"You loved her before"

"That’s before she fucked up,that’s before she left you for some stupid modelling career that made her lose you,don’t tell me you are planning on accepting her because I’m going to punch you real hard in your face until you realize that you are thinking between your groin"He threatend and Zaiden laughed at his statement.

"That’s where you are wrong,I never said I was planning on accepting her back and I never said I was having feelings for Hazel either"

"Then what’s the fucking point of you needing my advice?"Luke asked standing up,he was getting annoyed of this conversation already.

Anna had made his heart turn cold towards love and now he’s not opening it up to have a second chance at it with Hazel just because of her.

"Remember I didn’t get engaged willingly so whatever it is that you are planning in siding with Hazel,I think you should stop it already because it’s not going to work"Zaiden stated the facts for him,just because he was vulnerable right now doesn’t give him the right to tell him to accept Hazel because she might be different from Anna.

No,they weren’t different.

That’s what they want,they would always want the money not the love,And Hazel was not different because she’s a whore just like Arianna.

What he needed right now was to focus on establishing himself,he needed to face the company first and keep his mind away from love,then maybe he would surely find true love as time went on.

That’s what he needs right now,if Hazel can handle being with him without falling for him what more could he ask for,as long as he remains his wife and he gets his inheritance,what more does he need.

After all,she came for the money and the money she would have as long as she stay with him without falling for him.

He needs to talk with her,and finds out what it is she really wanted,if it was the money and fame that she wanted she can have that as long as she doesn’t get to love him.

Because love hurts,he didn’t want another pain coming his way if he decides to settle with her.

"So what are you trying to say?"

"I get to be myself,I get to be the old Zaiden who I was before I met Anna,the cold and ruthless Zaiden who everyone loves,after,it’s been long I had some fun in my life"He replied with a sinister smirk on his face which made Luke look at him in complete bewilderment.

Zaiden is insane,this man has gone insane.

Being his old self means going back to his old annoying self which everyone hated,can Hazel stand him?

If he went back being the cold person he was,would she stand his cold nature and his really annoying behaviour?

Besides,he really was surprised when he figured out something while talking to Hazel,she was a strong female that doesn’t give up that easily.

He could remember asking her why she decided to settle with someone who doesn’t love her and her reply stunned him to the marrow.

She said it was going to be fun taming his cold arrogant heart,what gave her the determination to do that was what he didn’t know.

So,seeing his friend talk like this he smiled at him. Not only did he have a change of plans,but whatever it is he thinks he’s doing, he can’t hide the fact that he’s afraid.

He’s afraid of loving for the second time.

He was afraid of falling for his Fianceè.

Even if he turns out to be the worst kind of man towards her,he knew the determination he noticed in her eyes,that she was prepared to bring him down to his knees.

It was only a matter of time.

"Okay,whatever it is you think it’s right,I can only support you but let me give you a piece of advice Zaid,dont hurt that innocent soul,she’s not like your ex"Luke cautioned him but he rolled his eyes at him getting up to leave.

"Innocent my ass"he told him,getting his jacket that was lying in the arm rest before giving him a smile after leaving his house with a new determination in his heart.

If they thought that he was going to stoop low to fall in love again,they were wrong because they didn’t know the real him.

Walking out with boldness,he knew what path to take.

To be the cold person he was before everything came crashing down.

Zaiden fucking Knight is back.
