Hold On Mr.! Your Sweetheart is a Real Queen - Chapter 585: A young and beautiful woman.
"Mommy?"
Erin sat in her lap, stretched out his soft little hand, and gently touched her face.
Daisy Ginger dazedly snapped back to reality, lowered her head, and met the child’s somewhat anxious clear eyes.
She took a deep breath, held Erin tightly, her voice hoarse, "It’s okay, mommy is okay..."
It’s just, so sad, couldn’t accept it...
But, Edward Stephens is still alive, that’s a good thing, isn’t it?
She closed her eyes, trying to calm herself down, but the overflowing emotions wouldn’t let the tears stop.
Three months, she didn’t know how she got through it alone, and the one she waited for so long just forgot her like that.
"Daisy, you and Erin... are you hungry? Let’s have something to eat first," Lady Stephens stood up, changed the subject, "Let’s eat something, and then go see Edward, alright?"
Erin whispered in Daisy’s arms, "Mommy, I’m hungry."
Daisy patted his head, "Alright, let’s have something to eat."
Lady Stephens diligently led them to the dining room.
The food must have been prepared the moment they knew they were arriving; as soon as they sat down, it was served immediately.
George Stephens climbed onto the chair, "Grandma, I want to eat too."
"Didn’t you just eat?"
"I want to eat more."
Lady Stephens couldn’t refuse him, so she had the servant bring another pair of utensils for him.
Daisy peeled shrimp for Erin, and George pouted, "Daisy, I want shrimp too."
Daisy looked up at him and tossed a whole shrimp into his bowl.
"..." George looked at the shrimp meat in Erin’s bowl, then at the whole shrimp in his own bowl, unhappy about the unequal treatment. "Daisy, do you have a problem with me?"
Daisy glanced at Lady Stephens.
Lady Stephens, headache induced, took George down from the chair.
This kid usually doesn’t care about guests at home, but today, for some unknown reason, he was causing all kinds of trouble for Daisy and Erin.
"George, Daisy and Erin are guests, you can’t have guests peel shrimp for you, do you understand?"
George pouted, "But I want to eat shrimp."
Lady Stephens called the nanny over to peel it for him.
George wasn’t actually hungry; after a few bites of shrimp, he didn’t eat much.
He stared at Daisy and Erin, no one knew what he was thinking.
After they finished eating, George curiously asked Daisy, "Daisy, are you going to live at our house in the future?"
Daisy was wiping Erin’s mouth, upon hearing his words, she looked at him, frowned, and asked, "Who told you that?"
George was a bit smug, "I guessed."
Daisy said, "I’m not going to live at your house."
"Why?" George frowned in confusion, "Isn’t our house nice? Why don’t you want to live here."
Daisy couldn’t figure out if he wanted her to stay or not, she looked at the curious George speechlessly, "Why are you at your grandma’s house, where is your teacher? Have you finished your homework today?"
"I finished it long ago!" George proudly raised his little chin.
"If you’ve finished, go play by yourself, don’t bother the adults."
Lady Stephens was also speechless, thinking George was unusually excited today. She initially thought George disliked Daisy, but seeing his behavior, he actually wanted Daisy to stay!
So, does he like or dislike her?
Kids’ emotions are really hard to guess!
"Mommy, I’m sleepy."
After the meal, Erin started yawning.
Although he had slept on the plane, it was still on the plane, and not restful sleep.
Daisy thought about it, they were going to see Edward Stephens later, but now Edward Stephens had already forgotten her, so taking Erin to see him didn’t seem to make much sense.
She could bring Erin over another day.
"Then let’s rest for a while."
Daisy picked him up and asked Lady Stephens, "Is there a guest room?"
Lady Stephens nodded and had a servant take Daisy upstairs.
*
Settling Erin down, Daisy came downstairs.
In the hall, Lady Stephens had already changed into her outdoor attire, and when she saw Daisy come down, she silently walked over.
"Daisy, shall we go?"
Her attitude towards Daisy was somewhat cautious.
Daisy looked at her, didn’t say a word, just silently nodded.
The black nanny van was already parked outside the door; Lady Stephens got in the car first, followed by Daisy.
On the way, Daisy looked out the window and didn’t converse with Lady Stephens.

The hospital where Edward Stephens was currently staying was a private hospital funded by the Stephens family, and they had brought in nearly all the globally renowned neurology experts to treat Edward Stephens.
However, as of now, the work these doctors had done wasn’t as effective as the rehabilitation specialists.
After Edward Stephens woke up, the first thing he had to do was learn how to speak.
Many patients around the world who lost all their memories faced the biggest problem of communication.
They forgot themselves, their relatives, their past, and at the same time, they forgot their language; even eating and walking had to be relearned.
Edward Stephens spent three days mastering basic communication under the guidance of a linguist, and then quickly comprehended and learned English at an astounding speed.
When his doctor met him again, he was already able to respond in English, conversing fluently.
Afterward, possibly due to an innate foundation, he gradually regained fluency in Chinese and German.
Though he was thoroughly amnesiac, his intelligence still remained. In a month, except for his crushed, fractured legs that couldn’t bear weight, his life in the hospital was almost no different from a normal patient, not showing signs of a patient with amnesia.
The psychological issues amnesia patients should have: paranoia, insecurity, fear, and resistance towards unfamiliar relatives and friends, were not seen in him.
Or rather, he hid all these beneath an iceberg-like astonishing willpower, not letting anyone glimpse his slightest vulnerability.
Three months, the bones in his crushed fractured legs had started to heal, but getting up from a wheelchair and learning to walk again was a painful and lengthy process.
Many patients couldn’t endure the pain of rehabilitation and became disabled for life.
This day, after finishing a set of training, Edward Stephens was being pushed back to his ward by the rehabilitation specialist, Coco, when he saw a young, beautiful woman at his ward’s door.
The woman was slim and tall, wearing a black wool coat that reached her calves, her delicate little chin partly hidden in the fluffy collar, revealing only her vibrant, full lips and straight nose, her features painted like a picture, cold and charming, extraordinarily beautiful. Even he couldn’t help taking a few extra glances.
"Edward," Lady Stephens hurried over, "Daisy is here, would you like to chat with her?"
Edward Stephens was seated in his wheelchair, looked up again, and noticed the woman standing there, still staring at him unwaveringly.
