The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife - Chapter 131: Personal Couch and Bed
Schooling her face into a stoic expression, Shikera pulled open the door, prepared to snap at Hazel.
"I told you I will call you when—Cyprian?! What are you doing here?" she could not help but yell, seeing the person she least expected to be at the door.
"What stupid question are greeting me with? I bet you didn’t even miss me for those two weeks we were apart," Cyprian mumbled dejectedly, like a kid whose mother forgot to pick him up from the kindergarten.
Even with a lot of questions at the tip of her tongue, Shikera pulled her friend in for a hug as she could feel her dejected mood.
"What are you saying, Rian? Of course, I missed you."
She opened the door wide enough for Cyprian to enter, before closing the door after her.
The both of them went upstairs to Shikera’s room, where the whole room was tidy except the couch and the table. Cyprian, who was very exhausted was about to slump on the couch when Shikera pulled her up.
"No! Don’t sit on the couch!"
Cyprian frowned, "What? Is it made of gold?"
She turned away from the couch and went to the bed instead to sit, but Shikera stopped her again.
"Rian please! Not the bed and the couch," she yelled, hurriedly pulling Cyprian to sit on the office chair beside her bed.
Squinting her eyes suspiciously, Cyprian sat down obediently on the chair as she examined Shikera’s expression. Why was her face getting red just because of a couch and a bed? Was she that angry?
"Uhm...," Shikera started, avoiding Cyprian’s scrutinizing gaze. "Why are you here this early? Shouldn’t it be around lunch break at work?"
"It is," Cyprian answered, before adding, "I actually took my pending 2 weeks leave. The one our team was given when you were poisoned."
"And why? Did you miss your sweetie Shikera so much that you can’t wait to cling to her?" Shikera teased, settling down on the couch.
Cyprian frowned seeing that, and she didn’t bother to keep her displeasure to herself.
"What are you doing, Kera? You asked me not to sit on the couch and I thought it’s because it’s delicate, but you are sitting on it now?!" she yelled, not minding if her voice was resounding around the whole villa.
"Th—that is not the reason, Rian! It’s my couch and my bed by the way, so I can do anything I want with them," Shikera tried to argue. She could not tell Cyprian the real reason why she was stopping her from sitting there.
"Really? It’s your bed and your couch?" Cyprian asked gently, so gentle that Shikera was beginning to tense up thinking about what her friend was planning to do.
However, she didn’t think long before Cyprian stood up from the chair and pounced on the bed, rolling herself on the sheets while staring mockingly at Shikera.
"Cyprian Leigh!!!"

"You’re done?" Cyprian asked, as she walked with Shikera to her brother’s car which she had driven here.
It was already late in the afternoon and after they had played with each other for few hours, Cyprian was ready to leave for home. Since she would be coming back the next day too, she wanted to leave early.
"Are you sending all the media files?" Cyprian asked again, seeing how Shikera was so engrossed with what she was doing.
Shikera had asked her to tell her everything about their outings on their work trip, so she had offered to send her the recordings and videos she made instead. And now, her friend was totally ignoring her and so engrossed in sending the videos like her life depended on it.
"Yes, I’m sending anything which dates from two weeks ago downwards. I don’t want to miss anything at all," Shikera answered to Cyprian’s question.
"Alright then, be fast with it."
By this time, they had gotten to the car and Cyprian opened the door to sit on the driver’s seat. Shikera leaned against the car and when she finished transferring the files, she handed Cyprian’s phone back to her.
"Hey, come earlier tomorrow so we can work on my show. You made me play all through today," Shikera scolded, making Cyprian roll her eyes. Wasn’t it Shikera who didn’t want to tell her the reason why her bed and couch were now sacred?
’It is not my fault that I teased her all day after that, and didn’t allow her concentrate on her work,’ Cyprian thought.
"I heard you, Miss Anderson. I will be here as early as I can tomorrow," she promised.
After they were done waving each other goodbye, Cyprian drove out of the garage and when it was not even two minutes yet, two more cars drove in which Shikera recognized as the one Ethan always used when he was leaving for work, while the second was for Enoch and Ruthlyn.
Frowning worriedly, she wondered why they were back home this early.
Ethan alighted from that car and he wakes straight towards Shikera.
"We passed a car just now. Who was that?" he asked.
"Rian," Shikera answered immediately.
"That was Cyprian?!"
She turned to Raymond who just got down from the car and nodded nonchalantly.
"Shit! I have to go then," he got back into the car he just came out from, and drove away from the villa. When he had gone to visit Cyprian at Preston TV earlier, he had been told that she took leave and was not at work. He had gone to her home too but had found the place locked so he had to go back to the office. Who knew she was here with her friend?
Back at the villa, Ruthlyn and Enoch excused themselves as soon as they had exchanged pleasantries with Shikera, leaving her alone with Ethan.
"You are early," were the simple words Shikera said before turning to walk back inside the villa. She ignored Ethan completely until she got to her room, but he followed her inside.
"I understand what you said yesterday now. I am sorry for not supporting you when you were showing your territory to Miss Hazel, and not stopping her when she used ’we’ to put both of us in one frame. But still, I thought you knew you already had all of me both on this couch and on this bed..."
"Stop it!"
Shikera’s jaws slacked, staring at her husband who was wearing the most serious facial expression even with what he was saying. Even though his apology was right on point, did he have to be so brazen?
"What?" Ethan asked, his stoic face finally showing signs of a smile. "Do you want evidence before you know that? Probably...a baby?"
As expected, Shikera’s face reddened the more. But not from his teasing as Ethan had thought, but from the fear of being caught by Ethan, which was in her mind.
Struggling to regain herself, she tried to wave him off.
"Just...forget about it! I have to work before Esther comes back from school," she said, trying to walk to her desk when Ethan held her back.
"Wait Kera, I wanted to say this in the morning but you were asleep when I came in."
"What is that?" Shikera asked carefully, as she already noticed that he called her Kera and not Shikera.
"You looked like a mom this morning, with your hair..."
Shikera yanked her hand out of his grip, scoffing lightly.
"I looked like a mom?! But Hazel didn’t look like that even when she had been doing all that since Esther came here?!"
