The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife - Chapter 132: Vincent and Eleanor.
Ethan frowned at her sudden change of mood.
"Why would Hazel look like a mom to me?" he asked, confusion evident in his eyes.
"Yet I look like a mom, right? Not pretty, tired and falling asleep easily?"
Ethan was able to easily understand what she was saying, and he wondered if it was a result of spending that afternoon with a relationship counselor.
"That is not what I meant, Kera. You looked like a sexy mom, one who wants me to keep pouring the babies into her so I can see that carefree look as many more times as possible. I wish to see you sleep like that every morning and I would have...it’s alright. You have work to do," he gestured towards her occupied bedside table and smiled, leaving her alone in the room.
Dejected and not knowing the reason why, she went to continue her work. She had the idea of how the show would go, since that was why she became a reporter in the first place.
But her problem now was how she would get the name of the show. She wanted something unique but had run out of beautiful ideas, so she decided to work until late so she would be able to leave early to work the next day and start preparations for the launching of the show.
Shikera was unable to think of any sort of name until night fell completely. Still, she sat at the table and continued working until she heard a small knock on her door.
"Is that Esther?" she asked out loud.
"Yes. Daddy said to inform you that dinner is ready."
"Alright, I will be down in a few minutes," Shikera replied her.
Few minutes later, the three of them were seated at the dinner table with no outsider with them like the previous day. While Ethan set the dishes on the table, Shikera and Esther engaged in a conversation.
"Did you complete your assignment or do you want me to help you have a look when we are done eating?" Shikera asked, to which the young girl gave a nod.
"The school event will be holding in three days from now, so the teachers are so busy that they give us more than enough work, to keep us occupied," Esther explained, trying to subtly check if Shikera didn’t have a change of mind regarding following her to school.
"Wow, that means the event is going to be a really big one. By the way, I have an assignment too so let’s do it together after dinner. I want to name a programme I will be anchoring and I’m currently undecided on what to name it, have any ideas?"
Ethan’s hand paused in the air as he was picking up the plate, when he heard what Shikera said. Somehow, he didn’t know why he had the feeling that Shikera was actually asking for his suggestion instead of Esther’s.
He picked up the plate and went to sit down, ignoring the excited feeling gnawing at his heard. He was not going to name a TV programme. He might have accepted Shikera now, but her occupation was still something he hated a lot and was only trying to bear, as long as she still loved it.
"Esther, how was school today? And your cookies too, did you enjoy them?" he asked, his eyes passing a silent message across to his daughter.
"Of course, it was perfectly okay! The fact that the sugar was too much didn’t even affect the taste at all!" Esther replied.
Shikera was elated that Esther enjoyed the cookies but could not shake off the feeling that she was being duped. How did she know that the sugar was too much if the cookies were perfectly okay?
Esther didn’t give her a chance to think much before changing the topic.
"Uhm...Mum? What’s your middle name?" She asked.
Shikera raised her brows, not because she was surprised by the question Esther asked, but because she could not guess why Esther asked it.
"Why do you ask?" All members of the Mega families had three names each, one which was always kept hidden to outsiders. The reason why, none of them knew.
"I just wanted to know," Esther replied, beginning to feel like she shouldn’t have asked.
"Eleanor, that’s my name."
"Dad’s name is Vincent! What if you make a combination of the two names and form a special name? No one will know the origin of the name you created, and at the same time, you have an exclusive programme name to yourself!" Esther exclaimed, evidently proud of the idea she had brought.
Ethan didn’t interfere in their discussion as he felt like he would only be ignored, seeing the brimming excitement in both Shikera’s and Esther’s eyes.
"Why should I use dad’s name though? How about yours?" Shikera asked.
"Mine is pretty much the same. It’s Victoria."
Ethan noticed that the both of them had dropped their forks and felt like he has to interfere this time, unless he wanted his stress to go to waste.
"Enough about the names. Will you be leaving for work early tomorrow?" he asked.
"Yes, since I already have the name. Why do you ask?"
"Someone wanted to meet you. She said you would not refuse as long as I tell you who she is," he informed her.
"Who is that?"
"Lu Mason, a secretary in your father’s office," he answered.
Shikera frowned.
"I know her, since she has been working with my father even before I was born. Why did she want to meet me though?"
"No idea. Since you want to meet her, get dressed as early as possible tomorrow and leave with us. When you are done meeting with her, Ruth can drop you at Preston TV."
Shikera nodded in agreement, taking out her phone. She wanted to watch the media files she had sent from Cyprian’s phone, and was about to click on the video at the very top when she noticed an audio.
"Who makes audios while on a trip?" Shikera laughed, clicking on the audio instead. Who knew if she was going to stumble on her friend’s love confession?
