City A, 5th Zone

Everyone was gathered at the gate. Jeremy Night was talking to Catherine Rosewood. He had no choice; the girl was not leaving at all.

Boom!

Suddenly, a terrible noise sounded from the other side of the city wall. It was the wilderness. Hearing that, the faces of the people gathered there changed.

They understood that the fight had intensified. It didn't take long for the guards and captains to enter the wilderness; they were going to face the frontline. π—³π—Ώπžπ•–π˜„π—²π•“π—»πš˜πšŸπ•–π₯.πšŒπ• π•ž

Seeing that, the beast tamers gathered there tried to get through the gate, but they were stopped by the few remaining guards.

They were yet to get the green light. Jeremy Night was shocked. He didn't know what was going on. If he wanted, he could use his eye power to observe things outside.

But he didn't want to expose himself. Last time, he had tried to observe the Governors, but they had looked right back at him.

If he did it again, he could be exposed right then and there.

Catherine Rosewood was terrified. She had come without informing anyone in her family. She thought the situation outside was different than the previous battle.

The Governors were not following the usual protocol; they were taking charge instead. She thought her father might have gone to the wilderness to fight as well.

Time passed,

An Elder from the Governor's office appeared before the gathered people a few minutes later. He was a Tier-8 Beast Tamer.

The Elder's gaze swept across everyone.

He said, "It's time for you guys to enter. The battlefield is chaotic right now. All the corrupted beasts have appeared, irrespective of their tiers."

"So try to stick together and fight as a team," he added.

After saying that, he ordered the guards to open the gate. The next second, everyone started entering the wilderness through the gate.

Jeremy Night waited. He was not in a hurry.

Catherine Rosewood came to his side. She was going to fight alongside him.

Jeremy noticed it. He recalled the last time he had rescued her from a Tier-5 Beast attack. This time, it was going to happen again.

A few minutes later, it was their turn and they entered the wilderness through the gate. Jeremy Night unsheathed his blade right away. He held it in his hand tightly.

"Catherine, what are you doing here?" The next second, he heard a thundering voice from above.

He then looked ahead and saw a middle-aged man standing in mid-air. His face looked similar to Catherine's.

"He is my dad," she said with anger.

She didn't expect her father to come. She wanted to fight as well. The middle-aged man didn't say much; he took his daughter away from the spot.

He didn't want his daughter to enter the battlefield right now. It was a shock, but Jeremy didn't have time to ponder.

The intense fight was going on ahead.

Swoosh!

Jeremy Night darted out towards the frontline. He could see the guards and captains were struggling. Their lifeline beasts were surrounded by a number of corrupted beasts.

Slash!

Jeremy Night went to the nearest guard and slashed at the corrupted beasts hurting his big wild cat lifeline beast.

Puchak!

The blade sliced through the necks of the four-legged corrupted beasts. Their heads were decapitated in a single move.

Slash!

He made consecutive slashes one by one. The blade in his hand went in a wide arc before landing precise strikes.

Puchak!

One after another, blood vessels were severed. The corrupted beasts landed immobile on the ground.

This happened within seconds. The Beast Tamer guard was shocked. He didn't see this coming. He was surprised someone could kill Tier-3 beasts this fast.

Roar!

His wild cat expressed thanks as well. But the Beast Tamer was nowhere to be seen. On the other hand, Jeremy Night was helping out others.

He didn't cover the blade in starlight thread.

Puchak!

He was just landing precise strikes without using his eye power. He had practiced this numerous times.

If he used his eye power, it would be easier, but he wanted to use his eye power against the higher-tier beasts.

Pfff!

All the Beast Tamers who were surrounded by corrupted beasts saw someone coming out to help them.

They could only see a blur in front of their eyes. The blade moved that fast in the air.

Puchak!

It was reaping the lives of the corrupted beasts. In the blink of an eye, he killed more than 20 corrupted beasts without breaking a sweat.

All because of the training over the past couple of days, he was not wasting moves at all. He needed one strike at most to kill the beasts.

It didn't take long for the Tier-4 corrupted beasts to notice the enemy. Seeing that a large number of Tier-3 beasts were dying, they felt threatened.

Some of them started going towards the enemy.

Jeremy sensed the threat as well. Yet, he did not use the starlight thread. He still believed that he could take them down.

Hiss!

A green Tier-4 snake jumped at him. Its body was over 3 meters in size. This time, he used his eye power to find the weakness of the snake.

Cut!

He swung at the beast. The blade whistled through the air before striking the scales. The scales were instantly broken.

The blade went inside and punctured the blood vessels.

Hiss!

The beast let out a loud hiss. Blood spurted from the injured spot. The huge snake then landed on the ground.

Jeremy didn't stop there. He darted out fast to attack other beasts.

Puchak!

The blade moved in the air. The beasts he confronted faced the blade. Their defenses were torn apart.

The blade swept across their bodies; the cuts left behind terrible wounds.

The Tier-4 beasts were dying quickly. The Beast Tamers were shocked. They felt gratitude that someone had saved their lives.

But it didn't sit well with the Tier-5 beasts. They noticed their kin were dying at the hands of a single Beast Tamer.

Not only them, but the other senior Beast Tamers noticed it as well.
