Chapter 1587: Chapter 1584: Three Rules

Lin Tian grabbed his documents and turned to leave with Zhou Botong, when they overheard some girls whispering behind them: "Wow, our bioscience department finally has a handsome junior." Bioscience is short for the School of Life Sciences.

"Those drought-stricken ladies are going to be in full bloom now."

"Cough, cough, image, mind your image, don’t scare the junior!" Even the female teacher couldn’t take it anymore and couldn’t help but remind them.

Lin Tian and Zhou Botong were dumbfounded by these words. Zhou Botong sighed: "Brother Lin, did I graduate too early? Back in my day, why weren’t the female students in my department this enthusiastic?"

"What was your major?" Lin Tian asked curiously.

"Vehicle engineering," Zhou Botong replied.

"That’s a male-dominated major, why would you expect female students?" Lin Tian was speechless.

Zhou Botong was equally helpless: "Back then, I was young and had a passion for sports cars, with grand ambitions to design top-notch sports cars for Huaxia. Unfortunately, I only realized after graduating that I lacked the talent."

"Come on, realizing it after graduation, you really are slow to catch on." Lin Tian mocked him.

"Ah, who doesn’t have a fiery dream in their youth? It’s just always extinguished by harsh reality, such a shame." Zhou Botong rarely mused, while Lin Tian just smiled, unusually refraining from giving him a hard time.

After wandering about, Lin Tian finally found the finance department’s service point, where the bank and finance office jointly handled tuition and accommodation payments.

There were lots of students processing payments, but fortunately, the service point had many windows open. Lin Tian didn’t wait long before his turn came.

"Cash or bank transfer?" A female bank employee in a uniform skirt asked.

"Bank transfer," Lin Tian replied. A school year’s tuition and various fees totaled five to six thousand, and Lin Tian never carried that much cash.

Lin Tian reached into his pocket, pulled out a bank card, and handed it to the employee, who was stunned and didn’t take it: "Student, what’s this..."

Feeling puzzled, he looked down and realized he’d accidentally taken out his black card. Lin Tian quickly put it away and replaced it with a regular bank card: "Sorry, I accidentally brought a prop from a theater play."

The female employee breathed a sigh of relief. Upon seeing the black card earlier, she was shocked—how could a student possess a black card? As it turned out, it was just a prop. It made sense; how could a student own a black card?

Lin Tian’s other card actually had a substantial deposit too, with earnings from Tianxuan Special Guard, Night Rose Bar, and dividends from Xiao Group all deposited into it. Until now, he had no idea how much was in there.

Having smoothly paid the tuition, and with insurance processed, the freshman registration was almost complete. Just leaving the service point, Lin Tian received a call from Xiao Manxuan.

"Lin Tian, have you finished the procedures? Quickly meet at the cafeteria entrance." Xiao Manxuan’s voice came through the phone.

"On my way," Lin Tian replied, and headed to the cafeteria entrance with Zhou Botong.

Though the entrance was crowded, Lin Tian immediately recognized the sisters. No way, given their looks, pretending not to see them was impossible. The passing male students staring at the sisters, obliviously bumped into walls.

"Lin Tian, I’m quite worried for you. You’re destined to become the enemy of all male students." Zhou Botong quipped with a schadenfreude grin.

Lin Tian understood his meaning, given Xiao Manxuan’s looks, figure, and charm, she was undoubtedly the campus beauty, and many guys would consider her their dream goddess.

"Second Miss, how come you’re so quick?" Zhou Botong asked quizzically upon seeing the sisters.

The sisters just smiled without answering. Lin Tian playfully tapped him and chuckled: "You’re quite experienced, aren’t you? With those kinds of beauties, wouldn’t male students be scrambling to help?"

"With your looks, did any senior girls scramble to help?" Xiao Manxuan teased.

"It’s said that those ladies are going crazy for Brother Lin Tian..." Zhou Botong mischievously laughed, drawing killer looks from the sisters.

"Alright, let’s get the car and move the luggage to the apartment first." Lin Tian pretended to speak seriously.

The four of them headed outside again to the parking lot, driving into the school through the south gate, which allowed vehicle entry and was closest to the apartment.

The apartment and the faculty dormitory shared the same area, so there were parking spaces downstairs. Upon reaching the apartment, Lin Tian noticed that besides him, other students, seemingly older ones like graduate and doctoral students, were moving in.

"This building was originally a graduate student apartment. Your admission is exceptional," Miss seemed to notice Lin Tian’s confusion and explained. This exception was likely secured by Wang Wanxi.

"Tenth floor, room 1001. Here we are." Exiting the elevator, Miss pointed at a door number, then handed a set of keys to Lin Tian.

Lin Tian dropped the luggage, opened the door, and moved everything inside. It was a three-bedroom apartment with a living room, and with just Lin Tian and Xiao Manxuan, there was more than enough space.

"Xuanxuan, sis has to leave now." Just after setting the luggage down, Miss suddenly decided to say goodbye.

Xiao Manxuan froze, then tightly held her sister’s hand: "Sis, why so soon?"

Miss stroked her hair gently, saying, "The group has a lot going on. There’s accumulated work from earlier, plus now you’re entering college, becoming a grown-up, and need to learn independence."

"I understand, sis, hurry and help mom." Xiao Manxuan cheerfully replied.

But Lin Tian knew there was a sense of loss in her heart. Though she rarely saw her sister at home before, now she was away, and for a young girl, it was normal to feel uneasy.

"Lin Tian, I’m entrusting Xuanxuan to you," Miss said softly, looking at Lin Tian.

Lin Tian said nothing, only nodded. Miss gave Xiao Manxuan one last glance, then walked out of the apartment.

"Brother Lin, I’m leaving too. I’ll be in Jinghua City for a while, so there’ll be many opportunities to meet again." Zhou Botong said his farewell seriously, with a touch of flair as he walked away.

Soon, only Lin Tian and Xiao Manxuan were left together. University life began at this moment.

To put it another way, Lin Tian and Xiao Manxuan’s "cohabitation" life started just like that.

As Lin Tian imagined future "cohabitation life" in his mind, Xiao Manxuan suddenly took a white sheet of paper from her bag, held it up, and said to Lin Tian: "Lin Tian, given that we’ll be living in the same dormitory, we need to set a few ground rules."

Ground rules? Lin Tian was taken aback, quickly moving closer to see what the rules were, and the first one left him feeling frustrated.
