Beauty in the beast world-Chapter 352: Truth unfolding
Blake felt her entrance ease and pulse against his digits, making his length strain against his trousers. Her slickness coated his fingers, making it easier for him to move. His mate was always responsive to his caresses.
So much so that he wanted to spend all his life between her legs. With his mouth sucking pleasure out of her, his fingers reaching new places inside her every time, and at last, his cock drenched in her juices as he pounds her until she loses consciousness. He wanted to do so much, but this was not about him.
This moment was not about what he wanted or felt, but it was about his mate. Losing himself in lust was the last thing he would do while his mate was clearly going through something. Something he didn’t know about. He hated being even a little bit unfamiliar with her. Blake wanted to know each and every tiniest detail about his mate.
He wanted to bring her out of whatever darkness she was in. To let her know that he, her humble deity, would always be there for his goddess. He would support and stand beside her to face things she didn’t want to face herself. He wanted to show that he was ready to worship her no matter the situation. Just like now.
Removing his fingers from her pussy, he faced her as he kissed her forehead. "Tell me, Lilly. What do you want?’’ Her eyes flickered as he added, "All you have to do is ask; I will give it to you.’’ He wanted her to open up to him. To tell him what was going on. But if sex was what she needed, he would give her that as well. Anything for his mate.
Tears gathered in Lyra’s eyes hearing his heartfelt words. She got lost in his sharp green eyes as she said, "I want you."
"I’m already yours, love." Everything about him was already hers. Then why was she asking for him like he was somewhere far away from her? Or was he in her mind, and he failed to notice it? Blake felt unsure about his position; was he not doing enough? Had he somehow offended her? He gazed at her deeply, waiting for her next words.
While Lyra avoided his gaze now and let out some of her troubled thoughts, "I want you to be safe."
Blake’s gaze softened hearing her words. Her voice was barely above a whisper. So soft and uncertain that it made his heart skip a beat, "I’m safe, Lilly.’’
She shook her head. "No, you are not." Her fingers brushed against his jaw. "Not with Xavier in our life."
"He doesn’t belong in our life, Love."
Lyra smiled sadly at that. "That man doesn’t think the same."
Blake frowned, "It doesn’t matter what he thinks. He will get to you. I will... No, we will make sure of it."
Instead of getting consoled by his words, Lyra’s expression hardened. Returning to the same way she looked before Blake distracted her by pleasuring her. And she said, "What if he kills you?’’
Blake answered objectively, "He will not be able to do that, Lilly. We will make a plan and..."
"Again with those bloody plans!" Lyra got out of his hold feeling frustrated. "Didn’t I tell you to never go near him again?’’
"I know you are worried...."
"I’m worried because I know that he will kill you!" Lyra yelled as her sobs grew louder, resounding inside the room. "He did it in the past, and he will do it again!"
Blake froze. "What?’’ He was having a hard time understanding his mate’s words. Xavier killed him in the past? ’’Lilly, I don’t know what you are saying.’’
Lyra pulled him towards her and kissed him. He was here. He was alive. Her Blake... Her husband was breathing. He was not a corpse. But she came to a realization. If she continued to keep their past a secret from him, he would fall into danger; he would go to fight Xavier because he doesn’t know the full truth. She didn’t want him to be blindsided and fall into peril.
With a final kiss on his cheek, she parted from him. Taking a deep breath, she started, "Will you believe me if I tell you this isn’t my first life?’’
Blake knew about the Sapphire of Wish and its constant struggle in trying to bring Lyra’s soul to get reborn. She was Adrian and Vanadey’s baby, who didn’t even get to be born because she was killed in the womb by that vengeful angel. After that, this life as Theodore and Iria’s daughter was her true rebirth. Then what other life was his mate talking about?
He waited for her to continue. To make him understand, she started explaining things she had once wanted to keep hidden forever: "Before I became Adrian and Vanadey’s daughter, I had another life." A smile made its way to her face, remembering her little baby. "I was called Rosalie and Vanadey...she was my daughter then."
Blake blinked. He had no words to say.
"And you were her father." There it was. The biggest truth left her heart with a gaping wound. She squeezed his hand and looked directly at his face. "You died without even seeing her face, Blake."
"What?" Blake was taken aback. "Lilly, I don’t..."
"I know," Lyra nodded, crying. "I know it is hard to believe, but it is the truth. You do know about those dreams I kept on having, right?"
Blake nodded, and Lyra took a deep breath. "Those dreams were not ordinary. They showed me my past, my past with you. At first, I was as confused as you are right now, but once Darcio confirmed them to be true, I knew Blake. I just knew."
"Darcio knows about this?" Blake was trying the hardest to keep his composure. The things she was saying were reaching his ears, but his mind refused to process them.
Lyra confirmed the previous words: "Darcio knew about this from a long time ago; he just didn’t inform me because he thought it would hurt me more than being helpful."
"You said I died before seeing my..." It felt weird to even say that out loud. His babies were here with him, but still, the daughter he never knew made his heart clench. And knowing that he died without even seeing her? It was unfair to both his mate and his daughter. He should have been there to take care of them.
"You were killed, to be more precise." Blake’s thoughts came to halt at her words. Lyra had a faraway look on her face as she continued, "And the one to kill you was Xavier."
