Chapter 350: Chapter 350: I Want You Dead

May Morgan suddenly looked up and saw Vincent Vance walking in through the door. Seeing that she was already awake, he smiled slightly and asked her, "Awake?"

May glared at him warily and questioned, "Was it you who asked Mason Morgan to kidnap me?"

"Yes," Logan Vance turned and came to the front of May’s bed, glanced down at the ropes binding her hands, hesitated for a moment, and then reached to untie them.

May didn’t say a word. She just waited until he untied all the ropes on her. Then, taking advantage of Logan being unprepared, she pushed him hard, intending to escape.

Who knew that her hands felt as if they had been stripped of strength, and were completely powerless? By the time her hand reached Vincent’s body, Logan had already caught her, flipping her onto the big bed.

"You’d better not move, or you’ll be the one at a loss!" Logan smiled ambiguously, pinched her small face, and threatened her gently.

"Why did you kidnap me?" May glared at Logan on top of her, asking nervously.

"For this Jade Pendant, I need you to help release that woman," Logan released May’s hand, reached into his pocket, and pulled out the Dragon-shaped Jade Pendant.

When May saw the pendant in his hand, she reached out to snatch it. Logan lifted it decisively, taking the opportunity to kiss her on the face.

"I told you to behave, or you’ll regret it!" Logan laughed with satisfaction, only then releasing May and sitting up from the bed.

"I don’t understand, and I can’t!" May stubbornly turned her face to the side, gritting her teeth in refusal.

"Don’t you want Vincent to wake up? If that’s the case, then let’s drag this out,"

Logan sneered, shaking the pendant deliberately in front of May, then threatened her, "You know, right? The reason Vincent is in a coma is also because this pendant sealed his soul. If it’s not released, he won’t wake up for a lifetime."

Logan’s words eventually swayed May. She clenched her fingers reluctantly and after a long struggle, said, "Why should I believe you? What if you’re lying to me?"

"Do you have a better way? If you do, suit yourself," Logan looked at May, determined to win, and continued to sneer, "If you destroy this pendant, both Vincent’s and that woman’s souls will be free. Isn’t that good? Everyone wins."

May looked at Logan suspiciously, always feeling that things weren’t as simple as he made them out to be, "What if I say no?"

"Then I’ll have to sacrifice you. Anyway, I must get that woman out, and no one can stop me!"

Seeing May continuously resisting, Logan’s previously gentle face suddenly showed a fierce look. He suddenly grasped May’s wrist tightly and raised it high.

"Another method is to use your blood as a sacrifice, but I don’t guarantee the consequences," Logan’s smile gradually turned vicious, chilling those who saw it, "But if you die, I’ll kindly help you kill Vincent, so you and your husband can reunite in the afterlife, right?"

May frowned tightly, glaring at Logan with some resentment, asking him, "Why do you need that woman to help you? What exactly are you after?"

"What I want is much more than you can imagine. You wouldn’t understand, nor do you need to,"

Logan deliberately squeezed May’s wrist, forcing her to compromise, "I’m giving you the last chance. Will you agree or not? If not, don’t blame me for being rude."

Given the situation, did May have any choice but to agree? Logan wasn’t Vincent, he had no tenderness for her. His purpose was simple, and he was extremely ruthless. If she didn’t agree, he might really kill her on the spot.

"I can agree to you, but I don’t understand. This is just a normal jade pendant. Couldn’t you just find someone to smash it? Why must it be me?" May compromised reluctantly.

Logan snorted, throwing aside her wrist, and replied, "If it were that simple, why would I go through all this trouble? This pendant has been with you since childhood. Aren’t you aware of how many mystical properties it holds?"

May felt a tinge of embarrassment as Logan exposed her thoughts, "I do know it’s somewhat different from other pendants, but since I’ve never destroyed it, how would I know it can’t be broken?"

Logan picked up the pendant from the bedside, frowned while looking at it, and his expression became serious, "It’s not that it can’t be broken, but no one dares. Only you can destroy this pendant."

Only myself?

May looked at Logan’s face in confusion, always feeling as though he was hiding many things from her and that what he knew might be related to her own background.

"Why only me?" May clenched her fingers and hurriedly asked.

"This pendant is yours, so naturally only you can destroy it," Logan shot May a cunning glance, not intending to explain much, "It’s okay if you don’t know the method, I do. I’ll teach you."

With that, he pulled May’s hand over, placing the pendant in her palm, "Your blood can activate this pendant’s spirit, and once the spirit is awakened, only the power of the Dragon Insect within you can unlock the pendant’s binding force."

May lowered her head to look at the pendant he placed in her hand, gazing at its terrifying and suffocating color. She hesitated slightly.

"If that woman’s soul is released, what will you do?"

"If I say, I’ll seek revenge on Vincent, would you believe me?" Logan crossed his arms and looked at May, deliberately asking.

May thought about it, thinking his purpose was not merely that, "You will definitely seek revenge. After all, you’re like a dog without a home now, fleeing everywhere because of Vincent, but I think your goals aren’t limited to that!"

Logan’s face turned cold, expressing displeasure, "I want the Vance Clan, it’s a matter of minutes. Getting rid of Vincent is also a matter of minutes. But that little money from the Vance Clan isn’t worth a penny in my eyes. The things I desire are far greater than that. If Vincent hadn’t intervened, maybe I would have already gotten everything I want!"

"What you want is me, isn’t it?" May suddenly let out a cold laugh, raising her head to look at Logan’s face, "Why does Vincent want you dead? It’s because your entire plan centers around me, around the Dragon Insect within me, right?"

May’s words made Logan pause for a moment, staring at her with intensified murderous intent in his eyes, "You’d better not know too much."

"Not only do I know this, but I also know that your intention isn’t pure. What is my background, and what use does the Dragon Insect in me have for you? Was it you who instructed the old woman to plant the Dragon Insect in me back then? Why did you do that? What exactly is your goal?"
