Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 351: You Can’t Escape
In the past, Mason Morgan always cursed May Morgan as a jinx, saying she wasn’t his biological child but was adopted by her mother from the mountains. So, when he treated her with indifference, May Morgan suspected that Mason was just embellishing his own story. But now, she suddenly realized that what Mason had said before might all be true!
Perhaps, just like Mason Morgan said, she isn’t a child of the Morgan Family, or perhaps, she’s not a normal person at all.
The jade pendant, the terrifying things in the dark, and even the Dragon Insect, are already enough to show that she’s different from an ordinary girl.
So, if she’s not Mason Morgan’s child, then whose child is she? Who left her this jade pendant? What really is her background?
"You don’t need to know what my purpose is. You just need to know that if you follow my method, you won’t die, and Vincent Vance will come back to life. But if you don’t, both you and Vincent will die for me!" Logan Vance sneered as he gripped May’s chin and threatened her harshly.
Logan Vance handed a sharp dagger to May’s other hand: "Just a bit of blood, just a little, won’t take your life."
May glanced at the dagger shoved into her hand, somewhat hesitant: ’Where should I cut?’
"Anywhere, the palm will do. The blood from the palm is hot and flows directly to the heart." Logan glanced at her right hand and spoke softly.
May looked up at Logan, noticing he seemed deliberately avoiding her gaze, finding it odd but saying nothing.
"I can’t do it myself, you do it, you cut it." May feigned a frightened look, holding out the dagger to Logan, indicating him.
Logan frowned at the dagger she extended, a flash of panic in his eyes: ’Stop wasting time, hurry!’
It seemed he was eager for her blood but didn’t want to get too close. May didn’t understand whether he was afraid of her or her flowing blood.
What was the significance of her blood? Why did Logan appear frightened?
After thinking briefly, May raised the dagger and made a cut on the palm of her right hand. The blood started flowing at once. Logan’s face showed a hint of joy upon seeing this, but instinctively, he took a few steps further from May.
"Hurry, drip the blood from your hand onto this jade pendant!" Logan couldn’t help but command May, as she was dilly-dallying.
May looked up at him, a shrewd gleam flashed in her eyes. She quickly got up from the bed and rushed straight at Logan.
Logan was completely caught off guard by her sudden charge at him and hurriedly dodged in shock.
Seeing this, May quickly took the opportunity to run outside, believing that as long as she escaped from this hotel, there was hope.
Victor Grant couldn’t find her and would certainly order a city-wide search. As long as she could escape, there must be a chance of survival.
Seeing May trying to run, Logan angrily attempted to grab her but hesitated when he saw the blood on her hand.
This confirmed to May that he was afraid of her blood. Although she didn’t know why, she understood that injuring herself to bleed was her only chance to escape.
"Don’t come any closer, or I won’t be polite to you!" Seeing Logan pressing in step by step, May held the dagger to her wrist, threatening Logan.
Logan gritted his teeth and said to May: ’Why do you have to do this? Hurting yourself won’t win my sympathy!’
"But it can keep you at a distance!" May cast a sideways glance at Logan, coldly sneering and exposing him: "You’re scared of my blood, aren’t you? Otherwise, with your ability, you would’ve caught me already, and wouldn’t be here patiently explaining things."
Logan laughed cunningly, adamantly denying: "What a joke, is your blood that frightening? You’re overestimating yourself."
"Really? Then I’ll just see if you’re scared or not!" Resolute, May decisively slit her wrist, flicking the flowing blood toward Logan’s face.
Logan was so scared that his face turned pale, and he hastily covered his face with his hand. Since he blocked it just in time, May’s blood didn’t touch his face but splattered onto his arm, instantly making his unharmed arm seem like it was burned by acid, emitting wisps of white smoke.
Seeing several spots on Logan’s arm turning black, May was frightened too. Her blood had a corrosive effect? But why were others unharmed when touching it?
Without time to consider much, May only hesitated for a moment before swiftly turning to open the hotel door and running out while Logan was caught off guard.
Logan cursed under his breath and quickly followed after her.
At this time, May had regained some strength, not with the same divine power as before, but enough to handle ordinary men.
Just as she dashed outside, she was shocked to see two men in black standing at the door. As they saw her coming out, they were surprised before pouncing toward her.
With only a three-inch dagger in hand, close combat was impossible for May, and she hadn’t planned to entangle with the two. Seeing them lunging, she made a fierce slash in front of her, seizing the chance when they dodged nimbly, and she bent her body, slipping out from under them.
"Catch her!" Logan shouted angrily at the two men behind her.
Upon hearing it, the two men swiftly lunged at May. With short legs, she couldn’t outrun them and was soon cornered at the end of the corridor.
Seeing May was controlled, Logan gritted his teeth and slowly walked up to her.
May noticed his wound had astonishingly healed, though a large horrific scar remained, particularly frightening to look at.
In a rage, Logan seized May’s throat, lifting her high, making her instantly feel suffocated. She wanted to struggle but had no strength left.
Logan’s strength was frighteningly large, enough to instill fear in her.
"May Morgan, don’t blame me for not giving you a chance, you brought this on yourself!"
With one hand seizing May’s throat, Logan reached into her pocket for the jade pendant. But as he bent down, May suddenly gathered her strength, kicking him hard below.
This kick caught Logan off guard. He released May, throwing her to the ground, and instantly crouched down in pain.
"Bastard, catch her!" Logan instructed his subordinates through gritted teeth, clutching his wounded area.
The two men quickly rushed to subdue May on the ground, but just then, a crisp gunshot rang through the corridor, and the man closest to May suddenly fell to the ground.
Before anyone could react, another gunshot sounded from afar, and the other man quickly fell to the ground, bleeding from his chest.
