"Where is Junior Sister Liu and the others?" The senior brother from before asked after I agreed to join their group.

Another senior sister nodded in agreement before saying, "Didn’t you head off together? Why are you alone now?"

When they brought up Liu Ao Xue and the others, I had no choice but to call out the door to the Space and Time Training Room.

Even if they were training, these people were the people from our sect.

They were the precious senior brothers and sisters of Liu Ao Xue who she grew up with, so I was sure that she would want to make sure that they were safe and have the chance to say goodbye to them before we left for the upper realm.

Liu Ao Xue and the others were surprised when I called them out, just as the senior brothers and sisters were surprised by the fact that they appeared out of nowhere.

After appearing, I told them about why the senior brothers and sisters were here.

Liu Ao Xue could tell that there was something that I wasn’t saying and she narrowed her eyes to look at me as if she was questioning me, but I just turned my head away and pretended that I didn’t see this at all.

In the end, she just gave up and asked the senior brother, "Why is the Demon Slaying Conference being held so early this time? Isn’t it supposed to be in another three years?"

The senior brother knitted his brows slightly when he heard this before slowly shaking his head to show that he didn’t know.

"I’ve only heard that it was being moved up because of a decision by the Central Sect Alliance, no one really knows exactly why it was moved up." He said in a slow voice before moving closer and lowering his voice to say, "Though I’ve heard that it’s because of the recent activities from Demon Valley. It’s said that the demonic cultivators there have become much more active, but also much more secretive."

I also knitted my brow upon hearing this.

I had already guessed that this was the case, but it seemed that there was even more information that I didn’t know about.

After all, if the demonic cultivators that were there were moving, then it was very likely that they were working with the invader from the upper realm. It would be similar to how the Jin Family had helped the demonic creature descend by gathering sacrifices.

I couldn’t help wondering just how powerful the upper realm invader in the Demon Valley was now...

Perhaps this might be more of a problem than we thought.

Seeing that we had all these worried looks on our faces, the senior brother suddenly said, "For now, there’s no need to worry about that. There’s still some time before the Demon Slaying Conference, so we should have some fun while we still can. It’s a rare opportunity to leave the sect and walk around in the secular world after all."

I shook my head and gave a sigh after hearing this since I knew that he was just trying to distract us, but it wasn’t as if it was a bad idea.

It wouldn’t be good for us to worry too much about this since there was nothing that we could do about this.

Instead of wallowing in this worry, it was better to distract ourselves so that we could face this with a calm mind.

"Where are we going?" I asked the senior brother who suggested this.

His eyes lit up before he said, "We were planning on going artifact gambling, so let’s all go together."

"Artifact gambling?" I couldn’t help asking in a confused voice.

The senior brother said with a nod, "That’s right, artifact gambling."

The way that he said this was almost as if he thought that it was natural for me to already know what it was without him explaining a single thing. But then when he saw that there was still a confused look on his face, the senior brother explained it.

Apparently the artifact gambling was a popular thing to do in this Mist Flower City.

This place was close to the Demon Valley and it was a place where many who went into Demon Valley for treasures sold things.

The artifacts that they brought back were all sealed, so they had to be cracked before their true appearance could be revealed.

However, that meant that most people didn’t know what kind of artifact they were paying for because it was sealed. Most times, the artifact that came out would be trash for people from the sects like them.

"I’ve heard that there were some people that have even found some Soul Formation Realm Artifacts from artifact gambling." The senior brother said in an excited voice.

I could see that the others had excited looks just like him.

It seemed that the activity of artifact gambling was quite famous in this place.

In my mind, it seemed like it was an event that was just like jade gambling.

Only instead of gambling on whether there were jades or not in stones, we were gambling on if there were artifacts or not in these sealed objects.

It certainly did seem like an interesting way to kill some time, especially if there was the possibility of some good artifacts in these sealed objects.

I knew that the main goal of these senior brothers and sisters was to test their luck before the Demon Slaying Conference. If they were able to get some artifacts before heading into the Demon Valley, then it would be a good thing for them.

The artifacts might even be able to save their lives if they were in danger in the Demon Valley.

So it was understandable why they were excited about this.

Though I had already been planning on giving them some stuff before heading to the Demon Valley.

Still, for now, I was interested in this artifact gambling.

"Let’s go then." I said with a nod.
