PS. Thanks to the book friends "Xiao Fei Fei" and "I don't want my account to be stolen again" for the ten thousand reward, much appreciated!

In the depths of the cavern, Fugen, having reformed into human shape, was crying. He recalled his past, filled with overwhelming regret.

He still remembered the initial oath. After the Emperor found him again among the stars, Fugen returned to the Human Empire. However, the Warrior Legion created using his genetic seed was very small in number and declining. To revitalize his legion, Fugen gathered everyone and announced his command.

"We are the Emperor's Sons. We need to let everyone who looks down on us know this. We are perfect warriors and will not betray the Emperor's expectations. We will never fail!"

The Emperor was moved by them and thus granted them a unique honor: the Emperor's Son Legion could decorate their chest armor with the Imperial Double-headed Eagle symbol.

Fugen still remembers the scene of that oath to this day.

But everything changed after the Horus Heresy. Chaos devised a sophisticated plot against Fugen. In a sword he captured and used during the Great Crusade, a Chaos Great Demon was hidden. Since he got that sword, the Chaos Great Demon repeatedly whispered to him, corrupting his thoughts.

Horus, having his worldview twisted by the Chaos Four Gods, was the first to find Fugen. Initially, Fugen didn't want to betray, but Chaos' long-term corruption and his friendship with Horus eventually led Fugen to board the pirate ship, becoming part of the rebel army.

The destruction Fugen caused wasn't limited to this; the corruption spread from him to the legion's officers and eventually corrupted more than half of the Emperor's Son Legion. Later in battle, under the manipulation of the Chaos Great Demon, Fugen killed another primarch, Ferrus, by beheading him.

Personally killing his brother drove Fugen further into madness, plunging entirely into a mental breakdown.

Afterward, Horus was defeated by the Emperor, who was severely injured and had to enter the Golden Throne. Kiliman took the role of Imperial Regent. In battle, Fugen severely injured Kiliman by cutting his throat, forcing Kiliman into the Static Force Field to survive.

Killing one and severely injuring another; such achievements once made Fugen proud, but now they were his nightmares. Recollecting all this, the Primarch of the Emperor's Sons wept softly, his silver hair scattered on the stone bed, overwhelmed with grief.

He could not forgive himself for all he had done. He had no face to confront the Emperor who had rescued him, nor to face Kiliman standing right before him. He covered his face with a blanket, utterly ashamed.

The Emperor sighed lightly. The Master of Humans opened his mouth but didn't know what to say. Finally, the Emperor said, "Fugen, rise. I need your strength."

"... And I will serve you once more, Father." Fugen finally composed himself. Though his face still bore tear stains, the perfection-seeking Primarch of the Emperor's Sons had quickly recovered, just like when the Emperor first found him.

Fugen would not allow himself any flaws. He tried hard to show respect and seriousness, but when he saw Kiliman standing before him, his handsome pale face showed some shame: "I... I'm sorry, Kiliman..."

At this, Fugen's expression was as if cut by a knife, unbearable pain flooding all his emotions. He still remembered the moment he beheaded Ferrus and the scene where he mercilessly mocked Kiliman, eventually slitting his throat.

Past painful memories almost took his breath away.

"Oh! No!" Kiliman, with tears in his eyes, rushed up to give Fugen a full embrace: "Welcome back! My brother!"

Fugen's eyes grew warm. The Primarch of the Emperor's Sons stood in a daze for a moment, then patted Kiliman's back twice in return: "Thank you... thank you."

A few words carried more weight than a thousand words.

"Welcome back! My brother!" Angerong laughed heartily as he went up to hug Fugen: "How does it feel to be back?"

"Not great. The past ten thousand years were simply a nightmare. It's an eternal stain in my life. I will never forgive myself, but I am ready. I will atone for my actions." Fugen gradually regained his composure. He embraced Angerong and forcefully patted his back: "Damn, so you're here. When you disappeared, Khorne was furious, saying whoever brought your head would..."

"Could be directly promoted to Demon Prince, right?" Angerong said helplessly: "We have already heard Magnus talk about these things once."

"Damn, it was after hearing Magnus' message that we should send Kiliman back to his crystal coffin together that I led my men to the agreed location." Fugen grimly took a towel from the Imperial Guard, vigorously wiping his face: "He must have been reverted like Angerong, right? Where is he?"

"He is seated on the Golden Throne," the Emperor said flatly, "atoning for his stupidity."

"Oh, that is indeed a good idea. At least Father doesn't have to sit on the Golden Throne anymore." Fugen parted his silver hair from the middle and draped it back over his shoulders: "So, am I the third?"

"We might have a hard time rescuing Motarian from the Eye of Fear. Angerong's and Magnus' recent disappearances have left the fond Nurgle feeling uneasy, and thus it ordered Motarian not to leave the Eye of Fear." The Emperor nodded slightly, his tone icy: "Petrabo's Iron Barrel Array I don't want to touch for now, so you should be the last for a while."
