Chapter 115: Chapter: 114 The first floor.[1]

While the Dean and the senior professors stood near the bright pillar of light, busy trying to stop the professors from entering, Julius and Rosalina had already slipped inside long before anyone noticed.

Rosalina looked around with her mouth wide open.

"Is this really the inside?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with surprise.

They were standing on the floor of an old-looking building.

Everything around them was dark, but they could still see clearly.

The floor stretched out endlessly in every direction, like a giant open field.

Purple grass swayed gently under their feet, strange trees grew here and there, and tiny glowing insects buzzed around like little stars.

Julius scanned the area slowly. "This is the first floor," he muttered.

He knelt down and touched the soft purple grass with his fingers.

"Wow... so many resources that are already extinct outside. These are all Time Path resources."

He stood up, brushing the dirt from his hands. Then his voice dropped lower.

"But... the Invincible Path?"

When they had entered, the giant face in the light had mentioned that some remains of the Invincible Path were inside.

Julius frowned. That part didn’t match the original story at all.

"It’s weird," he thought.

"If it was something physical, I would get it... but this is fixed. Why mention the Invincible Path now? It only showed up much later in the story..."

Suddenly, his eyes flew wide open. A lightning bolt of realization struck him hard.

His heart slammed in his chest as the pieces clicked together in his mind.

"The first time the Invincible Path was ever mentioned... was during the 101 Treasure Hunting Tower arc!"

His face completely changed.

His mouth fell open in pure disbelief, and his breath caught in his throat.

Shock washed over him like a cold wave, making his skin tingle.

His hands trembled slightly as he stared into the distance, eyes huge and glittering with wild excitement mixed with utter shock.

"This place feels exactly like a tower. And it has eleven floors. Crypian got sent straight to the seventh floor... and he had the key."

Julius’s mind raced like a storm.

In the original story, Crypian received the key to the eleventh room and became the chosen successor of the Lone King.

But the eleventh floor was never shown. It stayed a complete mystery.

"What if... he got clues about the Invincible Path from here?" Julius whispered, his voice barely audible.

The more he thought about it, the more everything clicked into place.

It actually made perfect sense.

Crypian had already passed his two Heavenly Trials by the time he reached the tower, so he couldn’t switch to the Invincible Path anymore.

But Alia... she was able to change to the mysterious Visionary Path.

Just then, Rosalina walked over and gently shook his arm. "Babe?" she said softly.

Julius blinked and snapped out of his deep thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?" she asked, her face full of worry. "Is something wrong?"

Julius turned to Rosalina. His tight brows slowly relaxed into a calm expression.

"Rose, you still have those mana stones with you, right?" he asked.

"Yeah..." Rosalina replied. She glanced at the beautiful ring on her finger.

It had a shiny blue gem that glowed softly. Julius used to have two of these special rings.

His mother had made them for his engagement with Seraphina, but he gave one to Rosalina and the other to Uriel.

The rings were connected, so he could talk to Uriel from anywhere and store things inside them too.

"Come on," Julius said. He started walking forward without looking back.

"The professors will be here soon. Let them clear the early floors for us. While they’re busy, we’ll push ourselves to the Spirit Core stage."

Rosalina quickly followed behind him.

"What about Crypian?" she asked. "Didn’t you say he already has the key to the 11th floor?"

Julius nodded. "He does, but he can’t enter so easily. From the 7th floor onward, the challenges get much harder."

"And the professors? They won’t even make it past the 6th floor. The tower has strict rules, no one at the Spirit Core stage is allowed to go beyond that point. They’ll get trapped."

Rosalina suddenly froze in place, her eyes wide.

"Then... why are we trying to reach the Spirit Core stage? Wouldn’t it be safer if we stay weaker?"

"No," Julius cut in before she could finish.

"We won’t fully break through to Spirit Core. We’ll just compress and store the mana inside us so we can break through anytime we want."

He paused for a second. His eyes turned cold and serious.

"I don’t think this place is going to be normal or easy. It’s better if we prepare ourselves properly....and besides Crypian would be a big obstacle here..."

Rosalina kept walking beside him, but a soft frown formed on her face.

"What do you mean? Isn’t Crypian much weaker than us right now?"

Julius stopped her again, gritting his teeth. "No, he isn’t weak at all!" His voice was low but sharp.

"On the 7th floor, he’ll get a powerful skill called Mental Contamination."

Rosalina’s brows pulled together in confusion.

They had reached a quiet corner of the floor where a thick forest of purple trees stood tall.

In the darkness, low growls echoed around them....

"Grr... grrr... grrr..." and pairs of glowing purple eyes shone from between the trees like hungry predators.

"He also has an invincible skill that gives him one full minute of immortality," Julius continued.

"He can use that time to hit us with Mental Contamination. For thirty seconds, we’ll lose our minds completely. That’s more than enough time for him to kill us."

Rosalina’s face grew serious as she listened.

"Only by reaching the Spirit Core stage can we completely nullify that skill," Julius said firmly.

"That’s why we need to be ready."

Julius looked around carefully. They had reached the deeper part of the first floor.

Only a few strong monsters roamed here, the exact ones needed to clear this floor.

Very few people would ever make it this far so quickly.

He turned to Rosalina and spoke softly.

"Sit down and start cultivating. But don’t break through to the Spirit Core stage yet. Just compress the mana and store it inside you."

Rosalina still looked a little uncertain. Her brows were slightly furrowed, and she bit her lip.

But she trusted Julius more than anyone else.

With a small nod, she sat down under a tall purple tree. The soft grass felt cool beneath her.

"Alright..." she whispered, closing her eyes as she began to cultivate.
