Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!-Chapter 114 -:113 We can’t let those two enter either.
Dean Orin looked at the crowd of students rushing toward the pillar of light. He shook his head slowly.
"If the professors enter with the students... those kids will be in real trouble," he muttered.
His eyebrows pulled together tightly. "They might lose their minds from greed."
Jaya nodded quickly. "I agree. The professors are all at the Spirit Core stage. It would be like throwing tigers in with a bunch of kittens."
"Everyone knows it’s the legendary Invincible Path. People would do anything to get even a small piece of it."
She paused, her face serious.
"Even if we don’t know how much of the Invincible Path is really inside, we still have to stop the professors from going in."
Jaya looked at the sea of excited students.
Most of them were only at the Mana Core or Arcane Core stage of Bodily Ascension. She wrinkled her nose a little.
"But... what about those two?" she asked. Her voice carried a hint of worry.
Lucian turned to her, his forehead creasing in confusion. "Those two?"
"Yeah..." Jaya nodded.
She explained, "Both of them are at the peak of the Arcane Core stage in Bodily Ascension and the peak of the Conversion stage in Soul Ascension."
"They are just one small step away from breaking through. They could step into the next stage anytime they want, but it seems they are holding back."
"Letting them inside would be almost the same as letting the professors in. There are no other students close to their level."
Jaya and Lucian both turned to look at Dean Orin. They waited quietly for his answer.
The Dean stroked his beard with a deep, thoughtful look on his face. After a moment, he shook his head.
"We can’t allow those two inside," he said in a firm voice.
He continued with a serious tone, "Julius and Rosalina are the most talented students I have seen in my entire life. But both of them don’t value lives the way they should."
"But Rosalina saved all those students..." Lucian started.
"And Julius almost died trying to protect...."
Before he could finish, the Dean clicked his tongue loudly.
"That is exactly the problem," he said. His brows furrowed deeply.
"Don’t you think it’s strange? Someone as cold and arrogant as Rosalina suddenly risked her life to protect other students? Even commoners she always looks down on?"
His voice grew even more serious. "I didn’t started having doubts today. It all began after that terrorist attack on the academy!"
"As for Julius... I don’t think someone like him would risk his life just for the academy. And... didn’t you notice his face when we went to see him?"
"Even after all that torture, he was smiling. No trauma. No pain. Just calm. He’s only fourteen...
Lucian fell silent.
His brows slowly pulled together as he thought about it. Then he quickly shook his head, as if trying to push the idea away.
"But Dean... didn’t you hear Professor Ignel? He said all the inj..."
"I know." The Dean cut him off before he could finish.
Lucian froze.
"The injuries were real," the Dean continued. His voice was steady at first... then it slowly turned cold.
"Every single one of them."
A short pause followed. The air felt a bit cold.
"What I’m saying is..." The Dean’s eyes narrowed slightly. "...he did it himself."
"What?!"
Both Jaya and Lucian stared at him, their eyes wide in shock.
Jaya’s mouth opened, then closed again. For a moment, she didn’t even know what to say.
"Who... who would do something like that to themselves?" she finally said, her voice tight.
"Professor Ignel said it was brutal. Even his nails were pulled out... that’s not normal. That’s just..."
She stopped, unable to finish.
Lucian slowly nodded. "...I agree. No matter how mad he is... but..."
"He can do it," the Dean said at once. His eyes were firm, filled with certainty.
"He’s insane. Can’t you see it from the way he acts? And what’s worse..."
He paused for a moment, his gaze turning sharp. "He’s not just mad. He’s smart and cunning. The kind who plans things."
Jaya stayed quiet, her face serious now.
The Dean let out a slow breath. "If it wasn’t for his background, I would’ve already tried to question him using memory search..."
He stopped mid-sentence.
A shadow passed across his face.
"...But if I do that..." He shook his head, and for a brief moment, something close to fear showed in his eyes.
A woman’s face appeared in his mind.
Cold. Calm. And filled with quiet destruction.
He could still remember it clearly, her walking through the platform of the saint trial, leaving ruin behind her like it meant nothing.
Like a goddess of death who had simply grown bored.
"That woman..." he muttered under his breath.
Jaya frowned slightly. "Who?"
The Dean didn’t answer her directly.
"She would destroy this entire academy," he said instead, his voice low. "And that’s not even the worst part."
Lucian blinked. "...There’s worse?"
The Dean gave a short, humorless laugh.
"His father is at the Infinite Core stage," he said.
"If both of them move... this academy won’t even last a day. Laws won’t matter. Pressure won’t matter. Nothing will."
Everyone fell silent as the weight of the situation slowly settled in.
The thought itself sounded absurd, almost impossible to accept, yet none of them could deny it completely.
Jaya and Lucian exchanged a brief glance, both still holding onto their doubts.
Something about it didn’t fully make sense, but no matter how much they tried, they just couldn’t figure out what exactly felt off.
A quiet pause followed.
After a moment, the Dean let out a slow breath and rubbed his temple, as if trying to ease the pressure building in his head.
"It’s best if we keep an eye on them," he said. His voice was calm, but firm.
"And letting them inside... would only make things worse."
Jaya gave a small nod, though her expression remained uneasy.
The Dean then turned his head and looked back at the pillar.
The white light was still shining brightly, almost blinding, standing tall against the sky.
The strange face that had appeared earlier was now gone, as if it had never been there at all.
But the light remained, steady and unmoving.
It would stay like this... until someone claimed the inheritance.
"I will not let them in..." he muttered under his breath. His eyes hardened slightly as he watched the light.
Then, almost like a quiet wish he didn’t want others to hear...
"...and I hope Crypian gets it."
