Veil System: Running a Model, High-End Escort and Marriage Agency-Chapter 27: Control on Fingertips
Chapter 27: Control on Fingertips
Adams walked out of the bathroom completely bare, the damp ends of her dark hair clinging to her shoulders, little droplets trailing down her collarbone, slipping between her breasts, curving down her stomach. Her body was a portrait of temptation, the soft candlelight from the bedside table casting delicate shadows along the dips of her waist and the swell of her hips.
Justin let his gaze travel—slowly, taking his time, like a man savoring a masterpiece.
From the way her toned thighs shifted as she walked hiding the wet folds, to the gentle curve of her bare shoulders, to the way her lips were still kiss-stung from earlier. She wasn't hiding herself. Not one bit.
And why would she?
He had already torn through every single inch of her earlier, unraveled her piece by piece hidden deep in her wet cave, left her breathless and whispering his name in ways that even the walls wouldn't forget.
But now?
Now, she was looking at him.
Not with the teasing playfulness she'd had earlier. No.
With something else.
Something dangerous.
Her eyes traced over him, just as hungry, just as shameless, like she was trying to memorize him. Like she was trying to understand why the hell he had such a grip on her already.
Justin smirked, leaning against the doorway, his posture easy, controlled. "Like seeing me here with you naked and ready for me?"
Adams exhaled, the corner of her lip twitching. "That's problem?" She stepped forward, slowly, each movement dripping with intention.
Justin didn't move.
Didn't!
Not when she was looking at him like this—like he was something irresistible, something she knew she shouldn't want but couldn't stop herself from reaching for. When she was close enough, she traced a single finger down his chest, barely touching, barely skimming, but he felt it.
Hell, he felt it.
His jaw tensed, but he kept his cool.
Mostly. He was a master of his element but Adams had more experience than he had but he had more control. Adams tilted her head, eyes searching his face, voice dropping into something almost breathless.
"I think I'm falling for you."
Justin's smirk deepened. "And that's a bad thing?"
Her lashes flickered, her fingers lingering against his skin, like she was testing herself. "It is..." she murmured. "If I'm falling deeper than you."
Fuck.
That?
That was a dangerous line.
One that he knew was meant to cut right into him but unfortunately it didn't work on him? Love? Oh, please! But instead of answering, he grabbed her by the waist, pulling her flush against him, his fingers pressing into the curve of her lower back.
Adams inhaled sharply, her lips parting, but he didn't give her the chance to think.
His mouth claimed hers.
Slow. Deep. Unforgiving.
It wasn't the desperate, rushed kind of kiss. No.
It was possessive, like a man staking his claim, like he wanted her to remember this moment, this feeling, this exact way his lips moved against hers.
And she?
She melted into him, just like she had before, her fingers tangling into his hair, pulling, pressing, needing.
Needing more.
Needing him.
Justin gave it to her, but only just enough—just enough to leave her starved, just enough to make sure that when he pulled away, she'd still be feeling him everywhere. Adams let out a shaky breath, her lips red, her eyes dazed.
Justin smirked, his thumb brushing the corner of her mouth before he murmured, "Get dressed."
Adams blinked. "What?"
He stepped back, already turning. "You heard me."
Adams pouted. Actually pouted.
"Oh, now you wanna act cute?" Justin teased, already walking out.
Her voice followed him, dripping with sultry amusement.
"Careful, Justin. One day, I might not let you leave."
Justin chuckled. For real this time, leaving her hanging. By the time he reached his office, his smirk hadn't faded.
This?
This had been a test run.
A damn successful one.
And now?

Now it was time to collect his $15 million he'd just spend to buy something that would buy him more.

Some time later Justin leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, watching his aunt pace around his office like a damn detective piecing together a crime scene. She was hunting.
For what?
The truth.
And unfortunately for him, Selena Black was scary good at digging up bullshit.
"So." She finally turned, arms folded, eyes sharp. "You're telling me you spent—what—hours in here, and all you did was offer Adams a position as your assistant and PR head?" Selena's voice was cool, but there was an edge to it,
Justin smirked. "That's what I've been telling you, that's..." Justin shot her a smile, leaning back with his arms casually folded across his chest. "...exactly what I did."
Selena hummed. Didn't believe a damn word. She stopped mid-step and fixed him with a look that could freeze fire.
She took a slow step forward, her heels clicking against the polished floor, her gaze narrowing in that way that made most people start sweating bullets.
But Justin?
He'd been trained by this woman.
He could handle the heat.
Selena leaned against his desk, arching a brow. "Hours, huh? Convincing Adams took that long? Or did your little 'convincing' involve something a little... extra?"
Justin chuckled, shaking his head. "It was just a business discussion, Auntie. Nothing more." Justin gave her a cheeky grin, his gaze flickering over to the side for a second as he tried to play it cool. "Nothing more than that." He could tell she wasn't buying it.
Selena didn't blink.
Didn't buy that for a second.
She studied him, her sharp gaze scanning his face like she was running some high-level lie detection software in her head. Years of knowing him. Years of raising him.
Selena's eyes narrowed, and if looks could kill, he'd be dust. She studied him, and Justin swore she was dissecting every little twitch of his face. She'd had raised him, seen him grow up, and she could read him better than anyone else in this world. Hell, sometimes he wondered if she could tell what he was thinking before he even knew himself.
The thing was, she didn't question his judgment.
That was the thing about her. She never didn't doubted him.
Not in business.
Not at home.
Not in anything.
Hell, she was the one who had taught him quarter of what he knew about this industry when his parents were away. Just like she'd taught him like a mother.
And, of course, there was another reason. That's why she didn't question him the decision of giving Adams those positions. As his aunt of course but as the one his surbodianate, she can only agree.
Selena sighed and rolled her shoulders back, visibly easing up. "Alright, I trust you. I mean, you've been trained by the best," she added with a wink. "I'm not worried about your judgment. Not at work, at least."
Justin smirked. Damn right.
Selena sighed, finally pushing off his desk and straightening up. "At least she's competent. You hiring Adams makes sense."
That felt good to hear. Justin smirked, taking a mental victory lap. At least she's got my back on this.
Justin almost sighed in relief.
That was one bullet dodged.
But then... just as the tension began to lift, Selena's nose twitched
Her nose twitched.
Justin blinked.
Oh.
Oh, shit.
Selena sniffed the air, her brows furrowing and Justin watched her face scrunch in confusion. "Wait a second," Selena said, looking around like she'd just detected a dead body in the room. "What's that smell?"
Justin froze.
