Chapter 563 A DEAL IN THE DUNGEON

"Is that so painful?" Eros was so concerned to see the bandages on Emily's arm. He had just been here for a few days, but someone was already messing up with her. He could smell the blood from her wounds and this upset him.

Despite the fact that his wounds were more severe than the one that Emily had, he couldn't care less about it.

Yes, Eros was still angry at her and very disappointed, the fact that her carelessness had caused so many people died, which their death could be prevented, still left a bitter taste in his tongue, but then, he couldn't stop caring for her, because that was what he had done for the past twelve years.

He couldn't just stop like there was nothing happened between them and threw all the hardship that they had endured together to the drain.

"No, I am fine." Emily lowered her head to hide her face from Eros's eyes, so she could hide her tears, but the trembling in her voice gave it away.

"Why are you crying?" Eros tried to strain his neck, but he couldn't see Emily's face. She was putting ointment on his wounds, which caused by the silver chain. "Is that very painful?"

In the end, Emily couldn't help it. She hugged Eros, wrapped her arms around his hips and buried her face against his shoulder, which she needed to tiptoe to do that, while Eros couldn't give her a hug to comfort her, or even to caress her back, since he was tied up, but he kissed her ear and nuzzled her face.

Emily didn't say anything about the cause of her injuries and Eros didn't want to interrupt her. He did the best that he could to comfort her in his condition.

She bawled her eyes because she missed him and to see him like this broke her heart again and again, it had been days and she felt like she lost herself day by day every time she saw Eros.

At this moment, her injuries were the least reason why she cried, she didn't even feel the pain from the Emma's claw, because her heart was already in so much pain.

"I am sorry… I am sorry…" There were so many regrets in her mind and Ariana's scream always woke her up every night and every time it happened, she would wake up and find she was alone in the room, while Eros was in this hard and cold dungeon, tied up and wounded.

Eros said nothing, apologized was her favorite words recently and she kept saying it since the first day he was here and there was nothing he could do to alleviate the guilt that she felt.

Only after Emily was a little bit calm down that Eros could see her right in the eyes and watched how much this whole situation had taken a toll on her.

Before this, he didn't want to see her straight, because it pained him to remember what she had done, but right now, he could see clearly the extent of her regret.

She looked pale and obviously, she lost so much weight, her cheekbones protruded and there was dark circles under her eyes. She looked so haggard and Eros had never seen her this bad before. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝘯𝘰𝘷ℯ𝘭.𝑐𝘰𝑚

"I am sorry," Emily sobbed again.

Yet, Eros didn't heed her apologized. "Tell me, who had done that to you?" He meant the wound on her arm.

"Its…" Emily hiccupped and then told him about what happened. "It was an accident."

Eros was relief that it was not something harmful or anything, it could be worse than separating shifter children in the middle of their fight.

"You need to let them fight next time," Eros said in serious tone, but this made Emily chuckled between her sobs.

"Of course, I can't do that." Emily rested her head against his chest and heart his strong heartbeat. She wanted to keep this strong beat forever. She didn't know what happened to her if Eros was not here with her. "I am sorry to put you in this condition." A tear escaped her eyes again and Eros breathed deeply to hear that.

"If you are sorry, then don't get hurt." Eros kissed the top of her head, as Emily hugged her even tighter and cried again.

Those words…

Those words were the proof that she had not yet lost him completely, he still cared for her and all the silence that she got before this was a phase where he was very angry at her, which was understandable, knowing what she had done and what grave offense was that, but then he didn't stop caring for her and she didn't lose him.

However, not long after, Eros's body stiffened, as he sensed someone entered the room. He sensed him even before he could see him.

It was Liam. He strolled into the dungeon leisurely, as if he was walking in the garden full of roses.

While Sol was having a conversation with Jasmine, he took his time to take care of his business and then went to see Eros, knowing Emily would be here. It would give her anxiety if he said that he would have a conversation with Eros.

"Emily, can you leave the two of us alone?" Sol asked her casually, as if this was not something important for him, probably it was right for him, but Emily didn't feel the same. She was immediately on alert, so did Eros. "There is something I want to talk about with my beta."

With his beta. He still regarded Eros as his beta.

But then, Liam tilted his head and then looked at the Emily's bandaged arm. "What happened with your arm?"

Emily stopped crying and wiped her tears away, as she glared at Liam, since he made it as if there was nothing wrong with this whole thing, which probably was right in his point of view.

"What? You don't need to look at me like that, I am just concerned about you," Liam said, as he coughed a little and then cleared his throat again. "You make me nervous when you look at me that way." He stepped into the cell. "Now, can you leave us alone? There is important thing that I need to talk about with him."

Emily was so reluctant to let go of Eros, but the young lycan had fixed his focus on Liam, which meant, he also wanted to hear what this alpha would talk about and there was no point to force herself to be there.

Emily gave one last look on Eros, but she couldn't read what was in his mind when his face was lack of expression, but the tension was so high between the two of them.

"I am the only one, who knew about the project between you and the leader of the organization, if you harm him, you will not get anything from me," Emily spoke in that cold, low voice to Liam, when she walked past him.

It was not in her character to threaten someone else, thus it came as a surprise for both Liam and Eros to hear her spoke like that.

But, Emily didn't stay to hear the answer, because she only stated what would happen if Liam didn't hold onto the end of their deal. She didn't play with this and obviously she would stick to her words.

"Can you hear that? I don't know that she is able to threaten someone," Liam said in cheerful voice once Emily was no longer in the room and it was only the two of them there. "Well… I don't believe with what I heard… I am shock."

Liam chortled, since he thought it was amusing to see the other side of Emily. It was true that when you have to face adversity, you would peel different side of you.

He coughed lightly again and then came closer toward Eros, as he looked at the man right in the eyes and smirked.

"How are you? Do you feel better now after Emily applied some ointment on you?" He tilted his head and then looked at Liam closely to see every pain that he had inflicted indirectly. "I can make you feel better if you agreed to be loyal to me. See? I still have a good faith in you. Why don't you get this opportunity and made yourself and Emily to feel a little bit better?"

Eros fixed his dark eyes on him. "What do you want me to do?"

"I want you to make a deal with him." Liam then nodded at his left, at the corner of this cell.

Eros was not aware there was someone else in this cell until he mentioned it and when he saw him, he knew who he was, he had seen him a few times before this.

"Long time no see, Eros," Aaron said lightly, as he pushed himself from the wall, where he leaned his back and then walked forward, letting the light to illuminate him. "I will not waste your time, since I can see how busy you are."

Eros didn't give any reaction to the way the devil mocked him.

"I will not bore you with so much explanation, but like what Liam said. I want to make a deal with you, what do you think?" Aaron looked so bubbly, his golden eyes were exceptionally bright when he suggested this.
