Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1086: How Could My Face Be Ruined?
John Jennings picked up the blueprint and tore it without hesitation.
Seeing the boss’s indifferent expression, his subordinate was shocked, reluctant, "Big Boss, I worked hard to get this, how could you... tear it up?"
He once thought he was mistaken!
"Do you think I would be stupid enough to break into Justin Kingston’s territory?"
John Jennings spoke slowly, tossing the paper remnants into the trash and leaning back in his chair, his gaze slightly cold.
The subordinate was stunned, "I don’t understand. You clearly have the capability!"
"That would be like disturbing a sacred area," John Jennings stated clearly, "I will not cause unnecessary trouble." He was somewhat self-aware.
"..."
He added, "I just want that half Jade Pendant, understand?"
"But that half Jade Pendant is with his wife," the subordinate said frankly, "If you want the Jade Pendant, you will inevitably have to provoke him."
John Jennings’ eyes turned cold, "What did you say?" His sharp gaze frightened the subordinate into silence, causing him to lower his head deeply, not daring to breathe heavily for a while.
"Don’t worry, I already have a plan," John Jennings said, "If I don’t want to offend Justin Kingston, I’ll have to target David Garcia."
He retracted his gaze, confidently looking out the window.
In the hospital, various dramas of life and death continued to unfold.
In a certain room.
The fingers wrapped in bandages of Sean Dalton, who had been comatose for many days, moved. She had been lying there for so long that her body felt a bit numb.
There was no one accompanying her in the ward, as if no one cared about her life or death.
Because Joan Graham had paid enough, the doctors continued to check on her and administer medication.
Gradually, her long-closed pupils moved...
The eyes exposed outside the bandages slowly opened.
The curtain’s tulle was closed, so the indoor sunlight wasn’t glaring, but due to having had her eyes shut for so long, opening them made her feel uncomfortable.
She frowned, her throat very dry.
Her gaze met a completely white ceiling.
Who am I? Where am I?
She was momentarily dazed; it was as if her memory had fragmentarily broken off, and she couldn’t remember anything, but felt unbearably tight and uncomfortable all over.
Moving was difficult.
She lay with her eyes open for about five minutes, parched and extremely eager to drink water.
Attempting to vocalize, she realized no one was in the room.
She struggled to sit up, extending her stiff arms, not remembering being beaten, and began to dismantle the restraints wrapping her arms. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
It hurt, but the pain was somewhat numb.
As she forced herself to remove them, she spent ten minutes completely undoing all the bandages from her body.
The bandage on her head was also removed.
Stepping off the bed, she moved step by step to the restroom, in front of a nearby mirror, her eyes widened in shock—
"Ah—!"
She screamed, as if seeing a ghost, frightened by her own appearance!
Flesh and blood blurred, disfigured!
"No..." Sean Dalton was terrified.
At this point, a few doctors came in to check the room but didn’t see anyone on the bed; instead, there was a pile of bandages on the floor, which startled everyone!
"Where is the person?"
"Sean Dalton!"
"Sean Dalton! Where are you?!"
"Just left recently?"
"Ah—!"
Sean Dalton broke down emotionally and screamed again!
The sound came from the restroom, turning everyone’s gaze in response!
A few doctors quickly walked in, seeing her grotesque appearance, also frightened and disgusted!
"You’re mad?!" Asked a doctor, "Who told you to remove that? Get out now!"
Then two doctors turned to prepare disinfectant and new bandages.
But Sean Dalton stared at her reflection unwaveringly, shaking her head in disbelief, "Ah—!" screamed again!
She could not accept such a reality!
How could she be disfigured?
She had multiple fractures, only her legs weren’t broken, allowing her to stand and walk.
