Twin Treasures: The CEO Wife's 99-Day of Revelations-Chapter 1079: The Woman in Ian Shelby’s Passenger Seat
The picnic spot is an elegantly situated hillside, approximately 200 meters above sea level, and cars can drive directly up here.
The hillside is rather flat, with two glass cabins on it, tastefully decorated as tea houses.
There is also an open area serving as a yard, with an eight-hundred-year-old maple tree that is sturdy and lush, its leaves rustling gently in the wind.
This was built by a friend of Finn Morgan, who is currently abroad. Because of their close relationship, he left a set of keys for him after it was built.
Finn Morgan has brought friends here before, but it’s Hailey’s first time.
"Wow! The environment here is just amazing!"
Several cars parked one after another on the hillside, doors opened, and everyone slowly got out.
Jocelyn Morgan, dressed in a light blue suit, immediately spotted Ian Shelby stepping out from the driver’s seat of a black Volvo.
He was wearing a white thin hoodie, with a particularly avant-garde neckline; as the breeze ruffled his hair, for a moment, he gazed into the distance, giving off a vibe of serene elegance.
"Jocelyn, quickly help me with this barbecue grill!" Hailey Hale opened the car trunk.
Jocelyn Morgan snapped back to reality, "Coming, coming." She hurried to her side.
"Let me carry it!" Finn Morgan quickly came over, reached out to carry it while saying, "You guys pick up some lighter items, leave the heavy ones to me."
Hailey Hale leaned a little closer to Jocelyn Morgan, who lifted her gaze towards Ian Shelby and quietly asked, "Sister-in-law, is that Dr. Shelby? I think I’ve seen him before, but I’m not quite sure."
"It’s him."
"Oh~" The girl nodded thoughtfully, "A modern-day Hua Tuo, and so handsome, but seems introverted, doesn’t like to talk?"
Hailey Hale carried some ingredients out of the car, complimenting, "You can tell all that, huh? But I don’t really know; I’m only focused on your brother!"
"You don’t know him?"
"Knowing doesn’t mean understanding." Hailey Hale explained to her, "He’s treated me a few times, really nice guy, why? Have you taken a liking to him?"
"What are you babbling about?" Jocelyn Morgan glanced around, then complained, "He’s the only single person here, so I took an extra look."
"How do you know he’s single? Does he have to inform you when he’s dating?"
"..."
Alright, Jocelyn Morgan was speechless from the banter, so she got busy helping with the food arrangement.
Just then, the passenger door of the black Volvo opened, and a tall and beautiful woman stepped out of the car, smiling as she took in the scenic view below.
"Ian Shelby, who’s she?"
Dolly joyfully ran over and stood on tiptoe. Ian Shelby reached out and lifted her; she clung to his neck like a koala.
The woman on the other side of the car watched in surprise.
"Dolly, she’s Vera Ford, a friend of mine," Ian Shelby explained.
At this moment, Vera Ford walked around the car in her high heels to stand before him, curling her lips slightly as she reached for Dolly’s hand, "Shelby, is this CEO Kingston’s child?"
Dolly gave her a sweet smile, "Looks like you’ve heard about me. I have a brother; we’re twins, but we don’t look alike!"
Dolly pointed, "Look, he’s over there!"
Vera Ford followed the little girl’s finger, seeing a young boy engrossed in his tablet, dressed in trendy clothes, wearing a black baseball cap, looking meticulously delicate.
"Hello, Uncle Dalton!"
Hailey Hale approached David Dalton with enthusiasm, greeting, "First time meeting, I’m Hailey, Justin Kingston’s assistant’s wife!"
The daughter of a former mayor?
David Dalton expressed a kind smile, "Hello, hello." Finding the young girl in front of him especially sweet-natured and with a pleasant demeanor.
Everyone got out of their cars and started preparing and setting things up.
Justin Kingston and Mia Lane brought Gigi and Dolly; David Dalton brought Ethan; Finn Morgan and Hailey brought Jocelyn; Ian Shelby brought Vera Ford.
About a dozen people, with the setup of the barbecue grills, were ready to start the picnic soon.
