During the meeting Tao Luqi realized two things, the first is, she was extremely attracted to Fu Mingze and the second is there must be a reason why Fu Liang called her his mother. Could it be because she truly resembled his mother and if that was the case then the only reason Fu Mingze is attracted to her must be because she resembles his wife or maybe she is just overthinking things again.

Tao Luqi realized the meeting was over when the executives all stood up from their seats and started leaving the conference room.

After everyone left, Tao Luqi also stood up and was about to leave when she heard Fu Mingze’s voice asking "Is Dai Shuo the reason you ran out of my office?"

"What?" Tao Luqi turned to Fu Mingze with a frown on her face. She watched as he stood up walked towards the door and then locked it.

"What do you think you are doing?" Tao Luqi asked angrily.

"I want us to talk like adults, Tao Luqi."

"There is nothing for us to talk about, we kissed, people do it all the time so it’s no big deal."

"Does that mean you kiss people all the time?" Fu Mingze asked with a deep frown.

"Of course not." Tao Luqi said and suddenly sighed "Listen, we may be attracted to each other but you and I both know that it won’t work."

"Why? Because you are engaged to an idiot."

"Dai Shuo isn’t an idiot, he is a kind and caring man and I have gone further with you than I have ever done with him or anyone else and I have no idea why I just said that."

Fu Mingze was surprised and happy at the same time, to be honest when he realized that his wife was engaged to another man, a lot of scenarios had gone through his head but knowing that he was still her only man brought a certain joy to his heart.

Tao Luqi who was embarrassed after what she blurted out, frowned when she saw a smile on Fu Mingze’s face. "Why are you smiling? Did I say something funny?"

"You said you have never gone further with anyone else, how does that make sense when you already have a child?" Fu Mingze said.

"It’s... it’s none of your business."

"Unless you don’t remember. You give Tao Mei excuses about her father because you don’t know who he is or rather you have forgotten."

Tao Luqi scoffed and said "Don’t act like you know everything. Do you think I also haven’t figured out why Fu Liang calls me his mother and why you look at me with so much passion? I thought about it a lot and I realized that the only reason a man like you would kiss a woman he just met must be because that woman resembles your wife."

"That’s not it, Luqi."

"So are you saying that I’m wrong? Do I or do I not look like Yang Meiyi?"

Fu Mingze was speechless for a moment, he was surprised that she had already thought that far, and perhaps this was the solution to his dilemma, maybe the only way for Tao Luqi to know who she was, was for him to show her.

"I want to show you something."

"I’m not interested in seeing it. You know what, I think I will just tell my dad that this was a really bad idea."

"Do you want me to kiss me or do you want to come with me?"

Tao Luqi widened her eyes at his question and for some reason, she knew if she refused to come with him then he was going to kiss her and the worst part was she was looking forward to it.

"Fine, I will come with you, just don’t kiss me."

Fu Mingze chuckled and said, "Agreed."

Tao Luqi followed Fu Mingze back to his office and wondered what he wanted to show her, she watched as he turned on his laptop and said "Come closer."

Tao Luqi moved closer to him and froze when she saw the video he was playing on the screen. Was that her? She have heard people being identical but right now, Tao Luqi felt as if she was watching herself.

The video playing on Fu Mingze’s laptop was Fu Liang’s first birthday party. Tao Luqi watched as the woman who looked like her sang happy birthday to their one-year-old son and she could see pure happiness in Fu Mingze’s eyes.

She watched as the woman wore a birthday hat on Fu Mingze’s head and heard him ask "Why do I have to wear this?"

"Because it’s your son’s birthday." Tao Luqi replied at the same time the woman in the video did. Huh? How did she know that was what Yang Meiyi was going to say?

Fu Mingze froze when he heard that, he slowly turned to Tao Luqi and saw her crying. He immediately paused the video and held her cheek as he gently asked "Why are you crying?"

"I...I don’t know." Tao Luqi said, even she did not realize she was crying until Fu Mingze mentioned it.

Fu Mingze joined their forehead together and said "I always knew you were my Meiyi."

"No, I’m not." Tao Luqi said as she moved away from him.

"I’m not your Meiyi, I am Tao Luqi, the daughter of Tao Hui and though I may have lost my memories, it still doesn’t mean that I am Yang Meiyi, we may look alike but I am not her."

"Then how did you know the exact words she was going to say next, how did you know that particular lullaby you sang to Fu Liang." Fu Mingze demanded.

"It’s just a lullaby, everyone knows one or two lullaby."

"Yes but not that one. When Yang Meiyi was nine months pregnant, she wanted a special song for Fu Liang, we both wrote that song and anytime she would sing it to Fu Liang when he was a baby, he would easily fall asleep. So yes Luqi, everyone may know one or two songs to sing to a baby but just not that one." Fu Mingze said.

Come to think, when did she even hear that song, she just sang it to Tao Mei one day when she wouldn’t stop crying and after singing to her, she immediately stopped her tears and even went to sleep. What was going on? There was no way she was Yang Meiyi. Why does her head hurt?

Seeing Tao Luqi lost in thought, Fu Mingze said "The infinity tattoo on your neck, Yang Meiyi got it a few weeks after giving birth to Fu Liang."

"What?" Tao Luqi asked in surprise.

"Everything may be a coincidence, you looking just like her may be a coincidence but that song and most especially that tattoo isn’t a coincidence. You can say that you are Tao Luqi all you want but I know that you are my...." Before Fu Mingze could complete his words, he watched as Tao Luqi suddenly fell to the floor with a loud thud. He quickly rushed to her and held her in his arms as he repetitively called her name "Meiyi, Yang Meiyi wake up."

A part of Fu Mingze became scared when there was no response, he immediately collected his phone from his pocket and called Xia Lian saying "Prepare the car immediately and call the central hospital, tell them it’s an emergency, ask for doctor Fei to be there."

Fu Mingze ended the call and immediately carried Tao Luqi in his arms and rushed her out of the company.

Every employee who saw Fu Mingze was confused about why their boss was carrying an unconscious woman in his arms while for some, it was their first time seeing Fu Mingze so disarray.

Yang Jia who was now bearing Nie Yujie’s face was busy fixing her hair in a salon when she got a phone call.

Yang Jia looked at the number that was calling her and said to her hairdresser "Give me a moment."

The hairdresser nodded and left.

After her hairdresser left, Yang Jia answered the call and said "For you to be calling, it must mean you have a new update."

"Yes, I have a very juicy news for me to share." The voice on the other line replied.

"Find out what hospital she is in and find a way to get either her hair or blood sample, I need to be one hundred percent sure that Tao Luqi is just a look alike."

"What if she isn’t?"

Yang Jia was silent for a moment before she said "Then I will make sure I kill her myself. "I understand." The voice on the other line replied.
