When Tao Luqi entered the conference room she paused for a moment as she saw Fu Mingze speaking to her father.

Both men stopped their conversation and looked at her.

Tao Luqi cleared her throat and sat beside her father.

"I believe there is no need for introduction, right?" Tao Hui asked.

"That’s right. Me and Miss Tao have had the opportunity of knowing a few things about each other the last time we met." Fu Mingze said with a hint of a smile on his face.

Tao Hui looked at his daughter and saw that she was slightly flustered, he could not help but ask "If I may ask, did anything happen between the two of you?"

Before either of them could answer, the door to the conference room opened loudly and Ye Qingyi walked in saying "What could happen between my fiance and your daughter?"

"Your fiance?" Tao Luqi asked in surprise.

"I never knew you were engaged and to such a beautiful woman for that matter." Tao Hui added.

Ye Qingyi smiled as she stretched out her hand to Tao Hui and said "I’m Ye Qingyi."

Tao Hui shook her hand and said "You must be the daughter of Ye Rong, then that must mean you are the new director of Ye Hospital, right?"

"Yes." Ye Qingyi confirmed with a proud smile on her face.

Ye Qingyi? Why does that name sound familiar? Oh yes! Wasn’t that the name of the persistent customer who wanted her to design both her engagement and wedding gown? So this woman is the Ye Qingyi. Tao Luqi thought to herself in silence.

"How is it possible that your engagement hasn’t become breaking news in Country M?" Tao Hui asked Fu Mingze jokingly.

Before Fu Mingze could say anything, Ye Qingyi said "The reason why no one knows is because we want to prepare Fu Liang first."

"Why? Does he not like you?" Tao Luqi asked curiously.

"Excuse me?" Ye Qingyi asked as she looked at Tao Luqi with a frown.

"Forgive my daughter for her rude question." Tao Hui said as he glanced at Luqi with a stern look.

"Can we get straight to business?" Fu Mingze asked coldly.

They all nodded and after half an hour of intense conversation, Tao Hui smiled and said "I guess we can call it a deal now, right?"

Fu Mingze nodded and said, "I will prepare the contract and after you have gone through it, we can sign."

"About that, I would like for my daughter to be the one who will sign the contract. I want her to be in charge of this project on my behalf."

"What? But Dad, that’s not what we agree on."

"You see, my daughter is a fashion designer but I would like for her to know a thing or two about running a corporation, and to be honest I will feel much better if she were to learn from you." Tao Hui said.

Fu Mingze looked at the frown on Tao Luqi’s face and coldly said "Forgive me Mr Tao, but I am a very busy man and I do not have the time to babysit your daughter."

Ye Qingyi finally let go of the breath she had been holding after hearing Tao Hui’s request. A part of her was worried that Fu Mingze would agree to it but hearing his cold reply made her to truly realized that even Fu Mingze sees Tao Luqi as just Yang Meiyi look alike.

"Babysit? Are you always this rude?" Tao Luqi couldn’t help but ask. In all her life nobody has ever disregard her the way this man just did.

Fu Mingze ignored her question and continued while looking at Tao Hui "I am a very strict man and I am sure your daughter won’t be able to handle the pressure this project will give her. So I suggest you reconsider."

Before Tao Hui could say anything, Tao Luqi said "I can handle this project, and besides you are no one to decide whether I can handle this or not. My father is your partner and has asked that I replace him in this so I don’t think your suggestions matter."

Tao Hui looked at his daughter in surprise, he was surprised by two things. First, there was someone capable of ticking her off and second, she agreed to run this project so easily. He had already thought of the weeks it was going to take him to convince her but she agreed just like that.

"You are right, I overstepped my boundary, it won’t happen again." Fu Mingze said.

Tao Luqi scoffed and said "You may be a great businessman but I know a lot of other great businessmen I can learn from, I don’t need to learn anything from you. Since we are done here, I will wait for you in the car."

Fu Mingze watched as she walked out and felt a little sadness in his heart. He wondered what he had to do to make her remember him, their love story and their son.

"Forgive my daughter’s attitude, I assure you that she isn’t always like this. When she is with Tao Mei, she is like an angel. Forgive her manners and believe it or not, but my Tao Luqi is a nice woman and a wonderful mother, I know she appears rude and cold, but to me, she has the softest heart and I think she tries to protect it in her way."

"It’s alright, Mr Tao. I wasn’t offended." Fu Mingze saw with a soft smile.

Tao Hui laughed softly and said, "I haven’t thanked you for the way you protected my granddaughter, how about dinner at my house, you can bring your son and even your fiancee if you wish."

"I would like that but lately my schedule has been full, I will have to fix it up a little bit and give you a date later on."

"I will be waiting." Tao Hui said as he shook Fu Mingze’s hand one more time before saying goodbye.

After Tao Hui left, Fu Mingze looked at Ye Qingyi coldly and said "Never do that again."

"Do what?" Ye Qingyi asked with a frown. What is it that she has done to make Fu Mingze look at her so coldly?

"Do not act jealous or possessive with me Ye Qingyi. I am not yours. This relationship was only formed so that my son could have a mother, if you are thinking that it will ever be more than that then let’s just end it here. I want no drama in my life Ye Qingyi. All my life I have always loved one woman and that is Yang Meiyi and you agreed to marry me while knowing this so if you think you need more than I can offer you then you are free to leave." Fu Mingze said and walked out of the conference room.

Tears threatened to fall out of Ye Qingyi’s eyes after Fu Mingze left, she threw away the bottle of water on the table and said "I hate you Yang Meiyi, I hate you so much."
