Every member of the Gu family was seated at the dining table for breakfast. Nie Yujie sat beside Gu Zhen who was sitting beside the man who sat at the head of the table, old master Gu.

The silence at the dining table only lasted a second as Old Master Gu said: "I heard Fu Mingze received the award for the best businessman of the year and also his son was the one who took his father’s award, people say it was obvious, his son was proud of him."

"Come on Dad, it’s just an award, our Gu Zhen has won a lot of those awards." Gu Yue said.

Nie Yujie clenched her fork and knife when she heard Gu Yue remark. The woman had been in country M for only a year and was already getting on her nerves.

Gu Yue was Old Master Gu’s only daughter, the woman has spent most of her life in the US and finally came back to country M a year ago. Nie Yujie wondered why she had to entertain this annoying woman in her house.

"But isn’t Fu Mingze practically the same age as you, not only has he become the best businessman in Country M, but he has also taken the Fu family to new heights and as a bonus, he has a five-year-old son. At least, it was obvious his wife was fertile before she passed away." Gu Yue said while looking directly at Nie Yujie.

"All this one does all day is eat and sleep, adding more flesh and using our family money when she has done nothing to deserve it. She has neither given us a son nor has helped in looking for ways to restore our family glory. She sits still in silence, looking like a pathetic doll."

"That’s enough!" Gu Zhen said in anger as he slammed the table.

Old Master Gu just continued eating without saying a thing, it was obvious he supported Gu Yue words.

Gu Yue smiled and asked "Did I say anything wrong? Nie Yujie were any of my words wrong to you? It’s been five years since you married Gu Zhen yet you have nothing to show for it, we are the ones who are supposed to be offended because we got the bad end of this marriage deal. We were given a brainless, infertile woman as a daughter-in-law to the prestigious Gu family. The truth is, we are still hoping for Gu Zhen to come to his senses and divorce you or even maybe take in a mistress, who will at least carry his baby, something you are failing to do. I heard you were once friends with Yang Meiyi, you could have asked her for a tip or two before she died."

"Enough, let’s just eat breakfast in peace." Old Master Gu suddenly said.

Nie Yujie silently scoffed, so the old man decided to speak out after his daughter had already insulted her.

Nie Yujie looked at Gu Yue who was happily eating her meal and swore to herself that for every hurtful word Gu Yue had said to her, she would return it in a hundred folds.

Fu group.

"I will like to be in your meeting with Tao Hui." Ye Qingyi demanded.

Fu Mingze looked at her and said "My partnership with Tao Corporation extends to the hospital so you can attend the meeting, I see no problem with that."

Ye Qingyi clenched her fist tightly and said "You do know that she is just a look-alike right?"

"I don’t want to talk about it." Fu Mingze replied as he stood up from his chair.

"She followed you to your house, Fu Mingze. You left with her while I left with your assistant. I am the one who is your fiancee, not her!" Ye Qingyi shouted.

"Then what did you expect me to do? Drag Fu Liang from her arms and see him crying till he falls sick."

"I could have come with you but you pushed me away. How can I even attempt to become Fu Liang’s mother if you won’t even let me?"

Fu Mingze looked at Ye Qingyi silently and said"You are right and I’m sorry for hurting your feelings, Ye Qingyi."

"Your apology will only be accepted once you tell me that nothing happened between you and that look alike."

"Her name is Tao Luqi."

"I don’t care what her name is, I just need to know that nothing happened between the both of you."

Fu Mingze practically felt his heart skip a beat as he remembered their kiss. He restrained himself from smiling as he remembered the way she kissed him back and then slapped him.

Fu Mingze looked at Ye Qingyi directly in her eyes and coldly said "Nothing happened between us, she only put Fu Liang to sleep and left."

Seeing the serious look in Fu Mingze’s eyes, Ye Qingyi unintentionally sighed in relief and said "Thank you for telling me the truth."

Fu Mingze nodded and left the conference room, he wondered why he felt no guilt while lying to Ye Qingyi. He needs to figure out a way to break up with her without hurting her feelings, how was he even going to start?

After Fu Mingze left, Ye Qingyi smiled and composed herself. Perhaps she has been worried over nothing, Yang Meiyi is dead and that woman is just a look alike. Fu Mingze will never fall for a look-alike and if that look-alike gets too close to her Fu Mingze then she will just do the same thing she did to Yang Meiyi.

Everything is fine, she should focus more on getting Fu Liang to like her and maybe think of a way of speeding up her marriage process with Fu Mingze because once she and Fu Mingze get married then nothing will ever be able to separate them.

The door to the conference room opened and well-dressed Tao Hui entered with a smile as he said "Mr Fu, it’s a pleasure to meet you again."

Fu Mingze shook his hand with a smile as he said "The pleasure is all mine, Mr Tao."

Tao Luqi who had to go back to the parking lot because she forgot her phone was about to enter the conference room when she saw Ye Qingyi.

Ye Qingyi frowned when she saw her and asked in hostility "What are you doing here?"

Tao Luqi frowned when she heard that question and asked in return "Is this your company? No, right? So why should I answer such a rude question? I don’t know who you are but at the party, I saw that you were pretty close to Mr Fu. I understand the reason you are being rude to me but you don’t have to feel this insecure, I know I am beautiful and you are scared that Mr Fu will fall for my beauty but still, this isn’t the right way to speak to the only daughter of your partner. Have some manners will you? I’m already in a foul mood because of some idiot, I don’t need you adding to my bad mood."

Tao Luqi shook her head and entered the conference room as she muttered "How annoying."

Ye Qingyi was stunned for a moment, did she just call her insecure and annoying, how dare she?

Seeing the employee walking around, Ye Qingyi clenched her fist tightly till her nails broke and took in a deep breath before entering the conference room with a smile on her face.
