Transmigration; A Mother's Redemption and a perfect Wife.-Chapter 368; We have files here....
He hummed softly, his gaze sliding to Huo Wu, who had already set everything up and was carefully studying his tablet screen like it contained the secrets of the universe.
"Master," Huo Zhen’s voice came from near the desk, where he stood holding a stack of documents. "We have files here that need your signature."
He’d been standing there for the past few minutes, watching his normally media-averse, camera-phobic master clinging to his wife like a possessive octopus. It was... unprecedented. Huo Ting Cheng had spent years avoiding social media platforms and dodging journalists. Why was he suddenly willing to appear on a livestream?
Huo Ting Cheng didn’t even glance at the documents. "You can choose to take them to Secretary Li, or just dump them in the dustbin. You choose what to do."
His tone was pleasant, but the dismissal was absolute. His attention remained fixed on Tang Fei, his chin resting comfortably on her shoulder.
Huo Zhen blinked, exchanged a bewildered glance with Huo Wu, and quietly retreated with the files.
Tang Fei sighed, recognizing defeat when she saw it. "Let’s go live then."
After all, they weren’t doing anything wrong. They were lawfully husband and wife. If he wanted to be affectionate on camera, who was she to stop him?
"Besides," she muttered, more to herself than anyone else, "after tonight, at least no one will question whether this marriage is real."
"Exactly my intention," Huo Ting Cheng said, satisfied.
"Ready when you are, Missus," Huo Wu announced, his finger hovering over the broadcast button.
Tang Fei took a deep breath, composed her expression into something warm and professional, despite being wrapped in her husband’s arms like a precious treasure he refused to set down, and nodded.
The red light blinked on.
The Second Livestream Goes Viral..
In every audition hall across the Centurion complex, the massive LED screens flickered to life once more.
Contestants who’d been stretching, practicing, or anxiously waiting for their turns looked up.....
And froze.
Because the image on screen was unlike anything they’d expected from a professional corporate livestream.
Tang Fei sat centered in the frame, poised and elegant in her tailored suit, but she wasn’t alone. Behind her, no, around her, was a man whose presence dominated the screen despite not being the primary focus.
Huo Ting Cheng.
His expensive dark suit, his powerful build, his sharp features partially visible over her shoulder, and his unique and rare blue eyes were mesmerizing. One of his arms wrapped securely around her waist, the other resting casually near her hip, his fingers splayed possessively against the fabric of her jacket.
The intimacy was undeniable.
The possession was unmistakable.
The love, because that’s what it clearly was, radiated from every aspect of how he held her.
"Good evening again, everyone," Tang Fei began, her voice warm and steady, as if being held like this on camera was the most natural thing in the world. "I know many of you have been waiting for hours now, and I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge your dedication and patience."
Behind her, Huo Ting Cheng’s thumb traced a small, absent circle against her waist, a gesture so natural, so intimate, that it made several contestants clutch their hearts.
"I’ve been monitoring all five halls throughout the day," Tang Fei continued, "and I want you to know that your efforts aren’t going unnoticed. Every performance, every attempt, every moment of courage when you step onto that stage, I see it. The judges see it. And we’re impressed."
Her smile was genuine, encouraging.
"I know some of you are tired. Some of you have been here since morning, and it’s now...." she glanced at the time, "....nearly 6 PM. That’s a long day by anyone’s standards. But I want to remind you why you’re here."
She leaned forward slightly, Huo Ting Cheng’s arms adjusted automatically, maintaining their protective hold.
"You’re not here because this was easy," she said, her voice taking on a quality of quiet passion. "You’re here because you have a dream that won’t let you stay home. A talent that demanded to be seen. A hope that maybe, just maybe, this could be your chance."
In Hall Two, a young dancer who’d been fighting tears of exhaustion straightened her shoulders.
"And you’re right," Tang Fei said softly. "This is your chance. But it’s not just about today. It’s not just about whether you get selected in this round. It’s about proving to yourself that you tried. That you showed up. That you were brave enough to put yourself out there."
Behind her, though Huo Ting Cheng remained silent, his presence radiated support, not just for his wife, but for the message she was delivering.
"So here’s what I want from you for the rest of tonight," Tang Fei said, her tone becoming more energized. "I want you to perform like you’ve already been selected. I want you to sing like the audience is already cheering. I want you to dance like the stage is already yours. Because confidence isn’t something you gain after success, it’s something you choose before it."
The screens captured the way Huo Ting Cheng’s hand tightened slightly on her waist, a gesture of pride and approval that didn’t go unnoticed.
"We have refreshments being distributed in all the halls," Tang Fei continued. "Take a five-minute break if you need it. Hydrate. Breathe. And then go out there and show us why you deserve to be remembered."
She paused, her expression growing slightly more serious.
"One more thing, I want to address the energy in these halls. I’ve been watching not just your performances, but your interactions with each other. And I’m pleased to see that most of you are supporting one another, encouraging each other, building each other up."
Her voice took on a note of steel beneath the warmth.
"That’s the culture we’re building here. Not competition that tears others down, but excellence that lifts everyone higher. If I see anyone, and I mean anyone, trying to sabotage another contestant, spreading rumors, or engaging in any form of harassment, you will be removed immediately. No warnings. No second chances."
