Chapter 367: Chapter 367; The choice is yours....

"The Locked Garden, Ashes of Spring, and The Pianist’s Promise," Tang Fei said immediately. "Those three are perfect. Intimate, emotionally focused, complete stories that don’t need expansion."

"And the other two?" Huo Ting Cheng asked.

"Forbidden Love might work better as a slightly longer series, maybe ten to twelve episodes, because of the political worldbuilding. And Beasts: Alpha and Omega could go either way. We’d need to see the full script to decide."

"Smart." He pulled her closer, "We’ll pitch the premium short format as our signature style. Position ourselves as the company that respects viewer intelligence and values their time. Quality, not quantity."

"Revolutionary, not traditional," Tang Fei agreed, her smile wide and genuine.

Huo Ting Cheng’s expression softened as he looked at her, this woman who’d crashed into his life and turned everything upside down, who cried over scripts and then immediately started planning how to revolutionize an industry.

"You know," he said quietly, "when you first told me you wanted to start an entertainment company, I thought it was an impulse. A whim."

"And now?"

"Now I think you’re going to change the entire industry." He brushed a strand of hair from her face. "And I’m just trying to keep up."

Tang Fei’s expression turned tender. "You’re not keeping up. You’re making it possible. I have the vision, but you have the resources, the connections, the business acumen to actually make it happen."

"Partnership," he said simply. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

"Partnership," she agreed, and sealed it with a soft kiss that tasted like rain and possibility and new beginnings.

When they pulled apart, Huo Zhen was standing a respectful distance away, clearly having arrived during their moment but too professional to interrupt.

"Sir, Missus," he said when they acknowledged him. "I’ve initiated contact with all five screenwriters. Three have responded already, expressing interest in meetings. Also, I’ve compiled the market analysis you requested on short-form premium content."

"That was fast," Tang Fei said, impressed.

"Thank you," Huo Wu replied with the faintest hint of a smile. "I appreciate it..."

Huo Ting Cheng shot him a look but didn’t contradict him. "Send me the analysis. And arrange meetings with the screenwriters, with priority on Wei Xiaoting from The Locked Garden. I want Tang Fei to meet them first."

"Already scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, sir."

"Of course it is," Huo Ting Cheng muttered.

Tang Fei laughed, the sound bright and full of promise. Tomorrow they’d meet the writers. Next week they’d start pre-production. And within months, they’d release their first premium short drama, a six-episode masterpiece that would prove stories didn’t need to be long to be powerful.

They just needed to be told right.

With heart.

With vision.

With the kind of love for storytelling that understood every moment was precious because time, like life itself, was borrowed and brief and absolutely worth fighting for.

Tang Fei looked at the scripts one more time, then at Huo Ting Cheng, then at the audition room where dreams were taking shape.

And she smiled.

Because of this, all of this was exactly what she’d been reborn to do.

Tell stories that mattered.

Create beauty from ashes.

And prove that sometimes, the best things in life come in small, perfect packages.

Just like the love growing between a possessive CEO and a woman who refused to be caged.

Six episodes.

Thirty minutes each.

A complete story of transformation.

Just like her own life had become.

"All right, we’re done here... Huo Wu, you have written down everything else?" Tang Fei stretched slightly in Huo Ting Cheng’s arms, looking over at Huo Wu who was still seated on the carpet nearby.

Huo Wu was multitasking with impressive efficiency, watching the live feeds from the auditioning halls on his tablet, checking emails on his laptop, and coordinating with staff through his earpiece. No matter what Tang Fei and Huo Ting Cheng did just a few feet away, he maintained his professional demeanor, acting completely nonchalant, as if he neither knew nor saw anything beyond his assigned duties.

"Yeah," Huo Wu replied without looking up. "Everything is moving smoothly. Twilight is also handling the masses at the halls very well. They’re motivated, and the auditioners are really doing their best. Let’s say, there’s a lot of talent out there that’s been neglected."

Tang Fei’s expression softened with satisfaction. "It’s been so many hours though. I probably need to say something and motivate them even more, so they don’t feel tired and neglected."

"That’s a good point," Huo Wu agreed, immediately reaching for the camera setup. "I’ll prepare for the second livestream now."

Tang Fei turned slightly in Huo Ting Cheng’s arms. "Ting Cheng, you can go back to your seat now. I’ve got to do this livestream before we can call it a night."

She gently nudged him, expecting him to release her.

He didn’t move.

Instead, his arms tightened around her waist, and he shifted to press his lips against her neck, a soft, teasing kiss that made her breath hitch.

"Ting Cheng!" she hissed, very aware of Huo Wu pretending not to notice just a few feet away.

"I don’t think I’m blocking your mouth," Huo Ting Cheng murmured against her skin, his tone maddeningly casual. "Just do what you want to do."

His lips traced a lazy path from her neck down toward her shoulder, his fingers playing with the edge of her jacket at her waist.

"Geez! This would look very unprofessional and unserious..." Tang Fei muttered, trying to reason with him while fighting the shiver his touch sent down her spine.

He paused, lifting his head. With deliberate slowness, he straightened her suit jacket, smoothing the lapels and adjusting her collar until she looked perfectly put together again. Then he settled back, his arms returning to their possessive position around her waist, looking completely innocent.

"Now," he said calmly, "you can choose to go live like that, or just don’t go. The choice is yours."

He hummed softly, his gaze sliding to.....
