Transmigration; A Mother's Redemption and a perfect Wife.-Chapter 332; Did you see that?
"Auntie... Twilight... Are you two okay?" Qin Xinyu worriedly queried, he was wearing his school uniform and carrying his heavy school bag packed with books and school necessities.
Tang Fei quickly composed herself, forcing the tension from her voice as she turned toward the boy smiling warmly even though she couldn’t properly mask that tension.
"We’re fine," she said, the small smile on her lips steady and reassuring, "Just needed a quick word, that’s all."
Qin Xinyu nervously adjusted his school bag across his shoulders, eyes darting between them, "I thought something happened again... the way you two looked...."
Twilight cut him off smoothly, her expression calm but sharp. "We were just double-checking the surroundings," she said, slipping easily into the cool, composed tone of someone who’d been trained for this kind of cover, "Everything’s fine..."
Qing Xinyu nodded, still uneasy but satisfied enough with the answer.
"Let’s go in...." Huo Ting Cheng, carrying Minghao with one hand across the chest, held Tang Fei’s hand with the other and proceeded.
The moment their group began walking toward the main entrance, a wave of quiet attention rippled through the manicured gardens. Students, teachers, and even the guards posted near the gate straightened instinctively when they recognized who had just arrived.
Within seconds, the school’s administrative team appeared, led by a man in a tailored navy suit, his silver hair immaculately combed, his expression both respectful and slightly anxious.
"Sixth Master Huo, Madam Tang, what a pleasure to show up!" the man greeted with a deep bow, " Welcome back to Phoenix Academy. I’m Headmaster Lin. We’ve been expecting you from the time Secretary Li had notified us!"
Huo Ting Cheng gave a curt nod, his gaze sweeping the grounds with the detachment, he had this nonchalant gaze pasted on his face.
"Mnnh...." Tang Fei also nodded slightly checking them up and down.
"The Director and other school dignitaries are in a meeting at the moment... But we can notify them that you have arrived!" At a bowed angle, the man apologized while gazing at Tang Fei.
They were checking her up and down, since it was their first time seeing her up close.
She was a rare entity, rarely seen.
"No need to...." Secretary Li stepped forward with the files, "Are the things I told you to keep ready, ready? We need to complete their admission formalities...." Secretary Li stood there wearing a black suit, cold and distant.
After getting ambushed, they were all in a terrible mood and they didn’t want to be delayed for even a single minute.
The headmaster instantly straightened, nodding rapidly as sweat gathered along his hairline, "Yes... Yes, Secretary Li, everything is ready! The biometric forms, identity verification, and the student profile transfers have all been arranged exactly as per your instructions. The admission wing has been cleared for your private use."
Secretary Li didn’t respond. He simply flicked his gaze once toward the main administrative building, and the headmaster immediately gestured for them to follow.
As they walked, the group passed through the main plaza, a sleek expanse of glass walkways and trimmed greenery, lined with tall, reflective windows that mirrored their movements.
Students paused mid-conversation, and teachers froze in the middle of lessons near the open courtyard windows. Whispers rippled through the air, soft and awed.
"Isn’t that Sixth Master Huo?"
"He is rarely seen!"
"He rarely shows up at school..."
"Sixth Master Huo, the one who owns the entire Phoenix Group?"
"And that woman beside him, she’s the one who...?"
The rest of the words fell away under the icy look Huo Wu shot toward them. Even from ten meters away, the guard’s stare was enough to silence the entire path.
Tang Fei felt the tension like a current in the air, her instincts still sharp. Every reflective surface, every window, every corner could hide an enemy, or another vision like the one she’d just seen. Her eyes flicked briefly to Twilight, whose gaze was already scanning perimeters with quiet precision.
They reached the glass entrance of the administrative building. A pair of security scanners slid open automatically, detecting Huo Ting Cheng’s identity. The steel doors hissed open with a low, mechanical sound.
Inside, the lobby gleamed. Marble floors, soft recessed lighting, and a massive holographic school crest floating in the air," Phoenix Academy: Soar Beyond Limits."
Secretary Li’s tone broke the silence, "Headmaster Lin, let’s move them to the private chamber. We’ll handle the rest ourselves."
"Yes, Secretary Li, of course." The man bowed deeply, his hands trembling slightly as he keyed the override. The glass walls shifted, revealing a hidden corridor that led deeper into the building.
Huo Ting Cheng said nothing, his expression as unreadable and nonchalant as always. He still had Minghao in his arms, and the little girl, oblivious to the heavy air, leaned against his shoulder, softly humming a tune.
Tang Fei followed quietly beside him, but her mind wasn’t still. Every step felt heavy, that image, the other Minghao, still flickered at the back of her mind like static. Not only was she tense, but she was also so sensitive to everything at this moment.
Twilight walked slightly behind, one hand resting casually near the concealed blade on her thigh. She didn’t like the silence. She didn’t like the weight of unseen eyes.
As the doors sealed shut behind them, Secretary Li’s voice sounded again, low and cold: "From this point onward, no one outside this floor gets access. Understood?"
Huo Qi, Huo Wu, and Huo Zhen nodded simultaneously. Their presence radiated silent menace; even the Headmaster dared not meet their eyes again.
Tang Fei exhaled quietly. Her gaze drifted toward Huo Ting Cheng. His profile was as still as carved stone, his silver cufflinks catching the dim light.
The moment the doors slid open, the scent of polished wood and sterile air met them. The private admission chamber was unlike the rest of the school, minimalist, soundproof, and lined with opaque glass panels that shifted between transparent and frosted at the press of a button.
