"Ohh! Is our little princess going to school now?"

"She is the pride of our village!"

"You are always saying that, aren’t you tired?"

"How can I not be tired? If those lads and lasses were as good as her, I will be at ease."

The teenage girl smiled brightly while listening to the elders’ conversation. She was already used to this scene every day and she somehow liked it. It’s not that she was prideful or arrogant but having the elders showing concern for her, she felt happy.

At the moment, she was currently sitting in a cow-driven cart, the only cart in her village and because she is the only kid who managed to enter West Institution two years ago, everyone in the village was very polite towards to her.

As someone who was raised by her grandmother, she was used to tough life but this didn’t make her give up on life. Her long-life dream was to study and be someone in the future.

She wanted to earn a lot of money and raise her grandmother well. She couldn’t possibly do that if she gets married. She wasn’t like other girls who believed in marriage.

After seeing so many failed marriages, she wasn’t in the mood to try one for herself. So, when the new town was officially opened and news of an institution or school was spread, she knew that her chance was here.

Her village was just a few kilometers from the town and she didn’t mind walking at all.

So, she and the other kids from all corners of the world studied and tried their luck during entrance exams and she passed. In her village and the other two neighboring villages, she was the only one that passed.

Just like that, she brought honor to her grandma as well as the village. The village settled on her transport mode, so every day she will be sent and picked up from a designated place.

The school provided transport for day schoolers but the strange huge carriages which were called buses picked students from certain locations. So, all-day scholars would find their own ways to reach that place and go to school in time.

As usual, she arrived and met with her colleagues, and soon after the bus arrived and it took them to school.

Having her dream achieved is something that she gets excited about. Faith didn’t have a lot of friends in the village but now she was surrounded by many.

Some hated her and most liked her and everything still made her happy because they finally noticed that she was there.

At school, Faith was in secondary school and she was doing her second year. What she liked about this school was that there was no discrimination. In West town, everyone was almost equal, it was obvious that the problem of equality will always be difficult to achieve.

At school even the rich would play with the commoners, everyone was there to learn knowledge and not flaunt their backgrounds. She was even shocked to see that there were some princes and princesses attending school.

It was only in West town that one would see something like this. It was quite a pity that Lady Alayna’s children weren’t attending school. There wasn’t much news about them but everyone envied them.

After all, having such a great mother figure like Alayna was a great blessing.

Faith’s new dream after getting enrolled in school was to become a hairdresser when she graduates. As most professions were sought after, a lot of people wanted to do them.

Faith found the mysteries of doing hair and makeup so intriguing that she vowed to start the course as soon as she was done with secondary school. She was only left with one year and then she will do the hairdressing course.

Of course, she wasn’t the only person that was interested in this course but her confidence was simply so great that she wasn’t going to fall short of anyone or let anyone surpass her for any reason.

Ever since she set her eyes on this course, she had been practicing on her granny’s head as well as the other villagers from the village. Luckily everyone supported her and encouraged which gave her even more courage to believe in herself further.

Faith couldn’t be considered to be very clever but she is very hardworking and strives to do better every day.

Ever since she got enrolled in the school, her life improved greatly and most children look up to her. she didn’t need to worry about tuition fees as she was currently tutoring several kids in the village.

She found out that tutoring kids was very fun but it is something that she didn’t want to do long-term as it was time-consuming and very stressful at the same time.

Everyone’s mental capacity is very different and some learn fast while others take their time, so it becomes a bit difficult to let everyone move with the same flow.

At school, Faith has her own circle of friends whom she is very close with. As she is the only person in the three nearby villages who attends school, most of her friends are from faraway villages and some are residents of West town and other places as well.

Together, they study and help each other when one is in trouble. Of course, it wasn’t very smooth in the beginning due to class differences but with time, the problems were gradually solved.

Faith isn’t the only person that was changed by the school but there are also several kids from several towns, cities, and villages that got impacted as well.

The positive changes greatly affected children from impoverished backgrounds that brought honor to their homes and families, unwanted children who barely received attention but finally did when they were enrolled, and those children from prestigious families that were born to bring honor and wealth to their families.

And all of this was possible because of what Alayna West did and with the backing of the royal family and the first sect in the kingdom, there was no one stopping her.

It won’t be just enough to say thanks for what had been done to them and the benefits that they were receiving. Maybe in the future, they will strive and work hard so that they will repay all of this.

All dreams will come true as long as one works hard for them.
