Transmigrated as the Villain Boss's Precious Darling-Chapter 158: What a Lousy Teacher
"Tang Xiaonan, classmates are supposed to help and care for each other. Fighting is absolutely forbidden. I just went over that this morning, and now you’re taking the lead in causing trouble. What do you think you’re doing!"
Even when scolding someone, Phoenix Golding’s voice was soft and delicate, but she spoke much faster now. Her eyes filled with disgust, and she looked at them as if they were garbage.
Anger flared in Tang Xiaonan. ’Damn it, she’s brazenly covering for her own little brat! If I were really just a six-year-old kid, I would have meekly accepted the punishment. What student in this era would dare to defy a teacher?’
"Ulysses Spann snatched my meat first! He’s the one who’s a bandit and a thief!" Tang Xiaonan shouted back.
The disgust in Phoenix Golding’s eyes deepened. ’How dare she talk back. She’s just as vulgar as Phoebe Huxley. What’s the big deal about my son eating a few pieces of meat? Felix Thorne would be thrilled to give all his meat to me!’
’Even though she was married and had a child, in Felix Thorne’s heart, she would always be more important than Phoebe Huxley. Whenever she wanted meat, Felix would eagerly send it over. How dare this wretched girl bully her son? Hmph, today she would take out more than a decade of pent-up frustration on this brat!’
Over the years, Phoenix Golding had occasionally gotten meat from Felix Thorne. If Felix Thorne were making the decision alone, the meat would have surely been free; he would have simply given it to her. His actions made Phoenix Golding all the more confident in her own allure. She felt she still had a place in his heart, a position higher than both Phoebe Huxley and Tang Xiaonan.
"You still dare to talk back to your teacher? Get outside and stand there!"
Phoenix Golding’s face hardened. She started dragging Tang Xiaonan toward the door while grabbing Amanda Chapman with her other hand. She had absolutely no intention of reasoning with these two wretched girls. She was the teacher, and her word was law. Anyone who dared to defy her would be punished.
Tang Xiaonan was startled. She hadn’t expected Phoenix Golding to turn on her so abruptly, punishing her without even asking what happened. ’Damn it, how did a person like this become a teacher? What the hell are the leaders at the Education Bureau even doing?’
"Ulysses Spann snatched my meat and spat on it! Why aren’t you punishing him? You’re just protecting your own kind, like a cat living with mice... You’re not a good teacher... I’m going to tell my dad, and we’re never giving you meat again... *sob sob*... You eat my family’s meat and still punish me! You’re shameless! You and Ulysses Spann are in this together...!"
Tang Xiaonan was seeing red. She let loose a torrent of insults, everything that came to mind. If she had any less self-control, she would have started dropping real curse words!
Amanda Chapman, who was being dragged along by Phoenix Golding’s other hand, was completely in awe of her younger cousin. ’To be able to use so many idioms while yelling at someone... My cousin is amazing! She’s now the person I admire most.’
"You child are so ill-bred! Didn’t your mother teach you to respect your teachers? How dare you curse at me while I’m punishing you? Get outside and stand there!"
Phoenix Golding was so furious she lost her composure. She let go of Amanda Chapman and used both hands to drag Tang Xiaonan. This damn girl was as stocky as Phoebe Huxley and surprisingly heavy. It was a struggle for her to drag the girl even with both hands.
"You’re protecting your son! Why aren’t you punishing Ulysses Spann for stealing my meat? If you’re not going to punish him, what right do you have to punish me? You’re not fit to be a teacher! You can’t even speak proper Mandarin. You’re a sorry excuse for a teacher!"
Tang Xiaonan took a deep breath, then employed the ultimate technique of all problem children: she plopped down on the floor. ’Let’s see this nasty woman try to drag me out now,’ she thought. ’There’s no way I’m giving in!’
The commotion was so loud it attracted the other teachers. A plain-looking woman in her thirties walked over, happening to hear Tang Xiaonan’s declaration. She couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
It was Tang Xiaonan’s good fortune that this particular teacher did not get along with Phoenix Golding. She had been a community-sponsored teacher for six years, and the permanent position that opened up last year was supposed to be hers. But Phoenix Golding had used her connections to steal it. The woman held a grudge and was just waiting for the day Phoenix Golding would get her comeuppance.
