Transmigrated as an Extra: Awakening of The Ex‐Class'-Chapter 57 : Dungeon part 5
Chapter 57: Chapter 57 : Dungeon part 5
The basement was now a hell. The ancient, moss-covered stone walls continued to resonate with every blow, every roar, with the imposing burst of energy. The air instantly became dense, charged with the smell of sulfur and static electricity. Demonic energy like shadows danced on the walls. The goat-headed demon, with twisted horns and glowing eyes like embers, stood over a humanoid body dressed in an impeccable black suit, now torn and stained by battle. His hands, ending in sharp claws, gave off sparks of demonic energy with every movement.
Erwing, completely exhausted from all the effort, found it difficult to maintain his current form, yet he persisted and advanced, with a desperate cry, knowing that it could be his last day of life, he did not hesitate for the sake of his companions. But the demon, with a macabre laugh, raised a hand and fired a blast of dark energy that enveloped everything in its path, overwhelming Erwing with devastating force.
From the place where I had been hiding, despair began to take hold of me; I could no longer hide. With a determined impulse, I emerged from the shadows. I concentrated my mana on a bracelet and it quickly transformed into a golden gun. Without hesitation, I fired a mana cannon that I had previously bathed in holy water. Upon making contact with the demon’s skin, a flare of light burned him instantly. Taking advantage of his moment of surprise, I ran towards Erwing and grabbed him tightly, moving him away from danger.
The demon, with a grimace of frustration, looked at us with disdain. With a quick movement, he launched a ball of black flames towards us. I managed to narrowly dodge it, but I knew that ranged attacks wouldn’t make a dent in it. I looked at Erwing and told him to brace himself; if we wanted to survive, we would have to hold on and fight like never before.
Erwing, with a new glint in his eyes, stood up and lunged at the demon, his sword flashing with intense energy. With a determined movement, he lunged, but the demon dodged his attack with incredible agility and counterattacked at the same time. Seeing his palm heading towards Erwing’s chest, without thinking, I instantly transformed my pistol into a sword and launched myself into the attack. My sword, bathed in azure energy, sprang into action, standing between the demon and its target.
"Bam"
A loud rumble shook the ground and echoed in the air, the sheer force of our clash; the sound was so powerful that it reverberated throughout the mansion. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take it and was thrown against the wall, my body creaking and a mouthful of blood gushing from my lips. The difference in range was overwhelming, and as Erwing continued to attack, his resistance began to falter.
Erwing, from the side, gave me a quick glance. His eyes, though tired, shone with determination. I nodded slightly, and without the need for words, we both launched into the joint attack. He charged head-on, his sword tracing an arc of reddish light that collided with the demon’s arm with a metallic crash. The impact sent the creature back, but not enough. The demon counterattacked with superhuman speed, its black claw striking Erwing’s side and sending him flying several meters. In that brief moment I had already appeared on its side and tried to stab it with my sword, but in that brief moment, the demon roared and a shockwave pushed me back, stripping me of my weapon. Quickly, I materialized the Cloudy Sky Sword of the system, preparing for what was to come.
The demon, surprised by my quick reaction, kept his guard up. Erwing, who had been thrown away, persistently came closer again to attack. The energy emanating from my sword shone brightly, a mix of blue and violet, as it waited for the moment to strike.
Almost immediately as he and Erwing fought, I sneaked up behind him. My sword, now shining a deep violet hue, cut through the air with a sharp whistle. The demon, with a sixth sense, moved his neck and managed to dodge it, but not enough to prevent the blade from grazing his neck. A thin line of black blood flowed from his wound, the demon roared in anger and indignation. His gaze locked on me, and for a moment, I felt time stop. His eyes, like wells of infinite darkness, seemed to promise a slow and painful death.
But there was no time for fear. The demon lunged at me, its claws extended and ready to tear me apart. I narrowly dodged the first blow, but the shockwave that followed hit me in the chest, knocking me back several steps. The pain was unbearable, but I couldn’t stop. If I did now I could look, Erwing tried to help me but was quickly thrown away, every time the demon struck at me the fight became more brutal with each passing second, and enduring the impacts of its palms became a struggle for endurance.
"Boom."
Suddenly one of its blows was much more powerful, so much so that it threw me several meters back. Blood was pouring from my mouth, but fortunately at the exact moment I saw that Erwing stood between the demon and me, giving me a crucial moment to recover. At that instant, a holographic window appeared in front of me:
[A threat to the user’s life has been detected, forced skill deployment has begun]
[Beginning descent....10%...30%...100%...
The world around me seemed to stop for an instant. I could feel a strong surge of energy flooding me from all directions, as if something primal and ancient was awakening within me. My vision blurred, then cleared, revealing a world in shades of blue and gold. The pain in my body disappeared, replaced by a feeling of overwhelming power. My sword, now shining with a golden light, seemed to weigh less than a feather in my hands, the strangest thing I felt was that my body, although I could not control it.
The demon seemed to notice the fluctuations in mana and the momentous change that was occurring. His face, once filled with confidence and contempt, now showed an expression of caution. Erwing, from the ground, looked at me with a mix of shock and expectation.
『Trash』
The words came out of my mouth, but it wasn’t me who said them, it felt completely out of place, the most surprising thing is that those words resonated with a surprising pressure that filled the entire place, the demon now seemed immobile at the simple gesture.
"Now!" Erwing shouted, getting up with difficulty. "Finish it!"
『Who do you think you are to give orders to this emperor』
I looked at Erwing, but then with my sword I thirteen a golden arc in the air, and this time, the demon couldn’t dodge. The blade pierced his torso with a crunching sound, as if it were cutting through the very soul. The demon screamed in despair, a sound that echoed throughout the place, and his body began to disintegrate into black ashes.
『It seems I’m still weak』
I looked at the demon who still had some life left, crawling on the ground, his eyes filled with hatred and despair. His body, an amalgam of twisted shadows and black flames, was slowly disintegrating, but he wasn’t willing to die without dragging me down with him. With a last effort, he launched a ball of black fire straight at me. There was no time to dodge, but I didn’t care either. Instead, I raised my sword, and let it fall vertically. The blade shone with a golden light that cut through the air like tofu. The black fireball split in two, completely torn in half, and then, like sand in the wind, completely disappeared.
Erwing appeared beside me, his face covered in blood and ashes, his eyes filled with surprise and admiration. He stared at me, as if he couldn’t believe what he had just witnessed.
. But I had no time for explanations. I don’t even know what’s happening, I just focus my attention completely on the demon, who was still breathing, though barely.
『—Hell rat—I said, my voice resonating with an authority I didn’t know I possessed — Look carefully, today you will witness something you will never forget.』
The demon growled, trying to get up, but his legs crumbled under their own weight. His eyes, full of fury, met mine, and for a moment, I saw fear in them.
«Sword of Purgatory»
The words echoed in my mind, like an immutable authority, an edict of a king. Almost immediately the blade of the Cloudy Sky Sword began to shine with a blinding intensity, its golden light enveloping it in an aura of pure energy. I swung the sword in a semicircle, the golden energy growing exponentially, forming a vortex of mana that seemed to engulf everything around it. The air vibrated, and the ground shook beneath our feet, in an instant a blinding light covered everything around us and before I could even understand what had happened, the demon’s head was spinning beneath my feet.
A golden and blue shockwave expanded from the point of impact, and its body began to disintegrate. The shadows that composed it vanished, and the black flames surrounding it died out, when the dust settled, the only thing left of the demon was a smoking crater on the ground.
At that moment, the energy that had been holding me up disappeared. I felt my body give way under the weight of exhaustion, my muscles and vision blurring. But before I fell, Erwing grabbed my arm.
"We made it," he said, his voice hoarse but filled with relief.
