Chapter 102: Zylus Vs Victor 1

As both of them stood from their respective seats, Petricia still slightly worried.

"A-are y-you guys sure a-about this?" She asked nervously.

Both of them stared her down, but only one of them was willing to talk.

"It’s going to be fine," Victor replied, "Just a little practice around."

Then, an idea struck Zylus, "Why don’t you come and be the judge?" He asked, "You have nothing to lose."

"I will!" Petricia responded excitedly, standing up just like the rest.

"So," Zylus wondered out loud, "Where are we even gonna fight?"

Victor chuckled, "Just open the same door you came in from." He declared.

"But that door will just lead to the space outside." Zylus continued, "So, we’re fighting in space."

It was as if Victor didn’t want to spoil his goal or what he has in plan, "Just open the door, and you’ll see."

Zylus sighed as Petricia followed just in behind. He walked up to the door, turning the handle ninety degrees to the right.

Click.

He pushed the door open, sliding it across the right side. But something completely changed.

When they went through the door, they weren’t met with the same spacious environment that the cabin was randomly placed in, not at all, actually. It was completely different, something unexpected to Zylus, not to Petricia or Victor, for the evident reason that they’ve already known about this.

"Where..." Zylus paused, looking around, "Even are we?"

Victor walked in front of Zylus, widening the door, and Petricia followed behind.

"Welcome, Zylus," Victor announced calmly, "To The Human Elemental Academy."

"So I see," Zylus nervously sneered, "This was where Jace took the inspiration to create this illusion back on Htrae."

"Exactly that," Victor tapped on his jaw, "Are you not mad at me?"

Zylus stepped forward, "Not at all," he paused, looking up into the sunlight, "Because, without you, I would’ve never gained these abilities." 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Just then, a red aura flowed across his entire body, meaninglessly to be real. Although clearly, he has become stronger, a strength unknown to both realms.

"So, I’m right," Victor whispered, as Petricia walked over to Zylus, "He is a broken vessel."

It was the same; the entire academy was the same as Jace created. It made sense; he used this information, with his blessing, ’The False Hydra,’ and connected it with the world that Victor presented to him.

Victor did this for his own personal enjoyment; he wanted to see trouble, and from the beginning...

He had his eyes on Zylus since the very beginning.

As Victor closed the door behind him, it disappeared into thin air.

Around them was the same colosseum Zylus fought Eldra in, or rather, Jace. He was a very worrisome Spirit, until he met with Zylus, of course. Back then, it was a battle of trickery, not strength. One that showed Zylus is truly able to adapt to any circumstance.

Petricia then moved towards the middle of both of them. The stone curved walls spread all around them, not a single student was in view, and the place was completely silent.

"It’s a weekend for them today." Victor said, "So you don’t need to worry about getting caught."

Zylus nodded, "Is time still moving slowly back there?" He asked.

"Don’t worry about your girlfriend," Victor added, "This world’s time laws make yours seem paused, just like when you were inside my cabin."

Zylus sighed, "Perfect, let’s get going."

"Girlfriend?" Petricia wondered curiously, "What’s that?"

The stone ground spread across both of them, the seats meant for the crowd were clearly cleansed with cleaning utilities, and the air flew across each direction. They were ready to engage, clearly.

Petricia paused, "You guys are ready?" She suddenly had a serious and calm expression.

Both of them spread apart, then nodded, facing each other maliciously.

"Alright then," she paused, "Without more to discuss, let’s begin."

And just then, Zylus had already prepared his goal, while Victor stood there, eyes closed, in a calming fashion, just like the air that went from left to right.

The academy building can be seen far into the distance, and the same with the tall apartments; the layout, down to the very last detail, was the same as what Jace created.

But now, Zylus had something to prove.

Zylus waited calmly for Petricia to walk out of the way, which she deliberately did, and that’s when he activated what was to come.

"One stockpiled only?" Zylus thought out loud, "Guess I’ll have to go on some more objectives later. But for now, it’s only him that I’m focused on."

Everything looked to be set in stone for him, down to the last detail. It was perfect, glamorous if you wanted to use something more complex, but Victor, clearly, was unfazed.

Petricia watched both of them closely, steadily, but not nervously, not at all. It was as if her personality changed completely, a different girl from the way she was playfully acting towards Zylus earlier.

Yet, it didn’t matter because in this duel, his only attention was on one man.

The Dominant Sovereign.

And clearly, he was waiting for Zylus to do the first move.

[Demonic Weapon: Forming]

[Demonic Katana Status: Formed]

Victor watched him and grinned as he saw Zylus’s Demonic Weapon form on his right hand.

Petricia’s reaction was slightly different; she was shocked, as she never understood what Htrae’s Demons are truly capable of, or never got to see it first hand, just as Victor did before.

But now, this fight, between both of them, would discover what’s true and what’s not.
