Chapter 250: Grotesque Beauty

Arabella backed away. The queen was crazy and everyone knew that including her. But never would Arabella expect such a direct insanity pointed toward her by this queen.

Karnala grunted, "Let me go or you will regret this." freёweɓnovel_com

Queen Morgana echoed a laughter, "Don’t worry once this girl has proven her innocence by dying, it would be your turn next."

Malvo who was standing beside the queen furrowed his eyebrows but in the end he didn’t do anything, he couldn’t.

It’s true that whatever the queen had said now, no one else could tell her no. No one could stop her lest they die trying and Malvo, her only son was never someone she wanted to hear from, which meant that his words fell to her deaf ears.

Snatching her away and running by feet was impossible, and it makes it even more impossible when everyone in the hall has all their hatred against Arabella, completely in belief that she’s Marissa’s killer.

Seeing the blade drawing near, Arabella panicked.

She darted her eyes around but even the exit was covered with guards. She couldn’t do anything, not even to run away!

"I didn’t do it," she said firmly and her eyes moved to Iliza, who was smiling as though she had received a gift once she opened her eyes from sleep.

It shocked her to see someone so happy to see her dying, especially when she used to be her friend, someone she cared for.

Everything rang in her head, from Donna’s words to the view of Iliza striking the back of her head.

And now the queen pointed her sword toward her chest.

Arabella tried to grab the sword from the queen’s hands but the queen, adept in beheading people she didn’t like, was used to her victims’ struggle. So in less than a second did the queen swatted her with the back of the sword and with the same speed and force, she thrusted the sword forward, the sharp end of the sword cutting through her flesh and went straight through her body.

Seeing the view, only a few gasped. The queen, Rueben, and Lucien was smiling widely. Aunt eve was torn by the fact and was still trying to reel the information in her head.

Malvo, on the other hand, watched in silence.

Meanwhile Karnala who had tried to struggle finally found herself free by cutting the wrists of the six guards apprehending her.

She rushed toward Arabella, snatching the sword from the Queen’s hands so Arabella wouldn’t quickly die from the bloodshed.

Queen Morgana gruntled upon seeing blood from her flesh, caused by Karnala, glared at her but Karnala ignored the glare and looked all around her, "Doctor! We need a doctor now. Now before it’s too late!"

The nearby vampires began to look at each other as though considering it since they have seen the human standing right beside their crown prince earlier but before they could form their own words the queen cut through with her words.

"It’s too late." Queen Morgana then snapped her fingers as more guards appeared beside Karnala. "Well unless she is a monster, that stab is too late and she’s too futile to be cared for."

"You knew this would happen," Karnala angrily gripped to her fists. She readily stared at one of the swords, considering the idea of killing the queen now as she had failed her mission to protect Arabella.

Feeling Arabella’s body growing even colder on her arms, Karnala’s mind became firmer and the thought to end it it all, end the queen and everyone she could before she bite the dusts filled her head.

Blood poured into a red puddle underneath them, continuously pouring all over the floor as Arabella’s lips turn to blue.

Karnala’s fingers moved to sheathe one of the swords from the nearby guards when suddenly she felt Arabella’s fingers began to twitch.

It started like a hopeful dream. Arabella’s body that had started to turn cold didn’t immediately warm up. But her eyes under the close eyelid began to roll under. Then it followed with her fingers that had began to twitch slowly under Karnala’s palms.

Slowly stirred, Arabella’s eyelids open slowly and then came out a loud gasp from her lips as her body tried to breathe once again.

In pain, Bella gripped her fingers tight around Karnala, tears all over her green eyes as she plead, "My chest... it hurts- it burns!"

Karnala who was stunned with shock didn’t want to pull the sword from Arabella’s heart. She feared that doing so would only cause for whatever had been keeping Arabella’s arrive would crumble.

But with Bella holding the hilt of the sword, trying to tug it out, Karnala didn’t have any other choice but to pull the sword from her chest.

Arabella groaned in pain. Her body was in pain, her chest especially felt as if it had been split apart, as if something was lodged on her flesh and the pain of it tearing her organs hurts like a searing pan with a sharp blade.

Only then did Karnala brought the sword out of her chest. The pull sharp but enough force to pull it seamlessly without giving Arabella further harm or hurt.

Arabella cried again, she scrambled around Karnala’s body while the latter held her tight so she wouldn’t fall to the hard floor.

Only then did the horror stop and everyone’s eyes around them began to turn still.

It happened slowly and perhaps due to how slow it is, the impact of what was supposed to be impossible occurring right in front of them had made every single soul in the hall to be baffled in shock and terror.

They watched as the moment the blade left Arabella’s chest how the flesh began to stick to each other again. The blood on her wound stitching was was torn, crafting a seamless suture until the wound was shut closed. Then like magic, her flesh began to reappear, like filling a cracked wall with more paints.

Then her face began to return its original flush. Though she was still pale, she was no longer deathly pallid.

The gasp echoed all at once while Arabella herself reeled what had happened and was more surprised than the rest of the people standing there.

With this she had died three times in the castle.

Drowned, hit by a blunt object, and now stabbed by the chest.

She didn’t remember what had happened the previous two times. Hell, she didn’t even knew that she had died twice! She thought she was attacked and had miraculously saved herself but the truth is that she hadn’t been miraculously saved in the nick of time.

She had died thrice!

In panic Arabella looked around to find the glimmering jewelry of the queen before her face. Though the red gem was bright and vivid, the color of her bright green eyes that had grown even lighter was far more vibrant, as if it would destroy any color that dared to try settle over it.

Her hair when she pulled down to her fingers had also turned brighter red. Not red like blood rather like the fallen maple leaves during fall.

Registering what had happened took a while. Without her notice the vampires had began walking backward, some even ran away as though an approaching lava had poured over the floor across them.

Queen Morgana was as shocked as the rest. She did act upon hearing Iliza but in no way did she truly believed what was said by the slave girl.

First off, to hear someone who had died come back alive was insanely impossible. She had only used what Iliza said in order to find any good reason to apprehend Arabella and kill her under the guise of wanting to find the person behind Marissa’s death. It didn’t matter if Arabella could be back from death or not, as long as she died that would serve enough reason for Cassius to turn at her, possibly even trying to kill her. Then she could use Cassius act of harming her as a way to stop him from ascending into throne for a while until her baby was born.

But to see by her own eyes that Arabella was a monster?!!

Rueben who had watched the scene was as surprised or even worse when seeing what Arabella could do. Malvo however had fallen quiet. He was surprised and terrified but his surprise came as a quiet.

"What should we do your majesty?!" The head of the guard yelled in fear.

Karnala had moved quick and picked one of the blade and seeing this finally brought queen Morgana back from her daze.

"Don’t be foolish, Karnala!" Queen Morgana yelled, "that m- monster can’t die but you can!"

Karnala had stood up with the blade, her other hand covering Arabella from the mobs who wanted her dead.

"Kill her- KILL HER!" Queen Morgana made her decision from the rear.

" But how?!" The guards asked in confusion. Arabella wasn’t dying so how could he kill her??
