Chapter 61 - I... I feel better now

Kang-woo went after Chin-hwa. He thought he might've run towards the restrooms, and if he did, he wouldn't be able to go in with them, but luckily, he didn't go there.

He entered one of the janitor's closets and started heaving, trying to catch his breath.

He ran away from the harsh, dominating pheromones, but it was as if they had all stuck to his clothes,, and he kept inhaling it.

"I... I feel hot." Chin-hwa thought out loud, holding his throat. It was as if his breath had been caught in his lungs. No, his lungs were free, but his throat was clogged.

"Hwa," Kang-woo called as he opened the door.

He followed his scent there and found Chin-hwa heaving.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" He asked and Chin-hwa grabbed him.

"I... I don't know. It's fuzzy and I..." He clutched Kang-woo's coat.

"Do you want to go to the infirmary? The hospital? We don't have time to waste." Kang-woo said but Chin-hwa shook his head.

"Just... Stay like this for a while." He said. "Just a while. I'll be fine."

Kang-woo stared worriedly at him. Was it his pheromones that did this?

He knew Chin-hwa was sensitive to Pheromones, yet he let it out so harshly just because he got jealous for a moment.

What was wrong with him?

"I'm sorry, Hwa. I'm really sorry." He apologized while holding on to him.

Chin-hwa knew the cause of his sudden hyperventilation was the dominating Pheromones that clashed earlier, yet he still held on to Kang-woo.

His Pheromones that had caused this were miraculously solving it.

Kang-woo's pheromones were calming him.

'Why is this happening?' Chin-hwa thought, his eyes tightly closed.

At that point, Kang-woo was subconsciously releasing his pheromones in soft waves. In other words, he was practicing pheromone shower without knowing it.

And Chin-hwa didn't know it either. He simply thought it was the Pheromones clothing Kang-woo's skin that was calming him down.

If only they had caught on to it, he might've been able to avoid what was to come.

"I...I feel better now." Chin-hwa said, raising his head to meet Kang-woo's gaze. "Thank you."

Kang-woo shook his head.

"Don't be." Kang-woo said. "I caused this. And I'll keep apologizing. I don't like seeing you suffer, Hwa." He swiped Chin-hwa's hair back and Chin-hwa's eyes sparkled as he stared at the worry on his face.

"I wasn't... Suffering." He said and for a moment, his breath was caught.

It wasn't as violent as when he flew the air was clogged at his throat. It was soft and... Familiar. He knew what it was.

He threw his gaze away. This was him falling in love all over again.

'Oh no, this is bad.' he thought to himself as he started hearing his beating heart grow louder and louder. 'What is wrong with me?'

"Hwa," Kang-woo called. "Are you still feeling unwell? Are you sure we shouldn't go to the hospital?"

"Yes, I'm sure. So, let's just leave it." He said, but Kang-woo brought his hand to his face, and a refreshing feeling overwhelmed Chin-hwa. Kang-woo's hand was very cool and a breath of fresh air escaped his lips.

"Are you sure?" Kang-woo asked once more to be sure. "Because you look flushed."

"It's because..." He pouted and muttered. "You're treating me like a kid again." He shifted his gaze to Kang-woo's face and then back to the ground. "And it's stuffy in here. So, let's... Let's get out already."

Chin-hwa brushed past him, let out a sigh, and hurried away before Kang-woo discovered anything.

Kang-woo stood there, staring at his hand. Chin-hwa smelt so nice just now. And even though he looked flushed, his forehead was cool.

He was cute, pouting his lips and...

"Ah, I'm doing it again." Kang-woo thought and turned his head around to stare at the opened door. "I can't help but stare. I can't help but think. I can't..." He ended up squatting as he covered his face with both hands.

His face was flushed, recalling how he held Chin-hwa so tight. He had been worried, so he did not have time to think, but Chin-hwa felt so delicate in his arms.

Chin-hwa got to the class and luckily for him, the professor hadn't come in yet. He let out a sigh of relief and looked around to find his friends in a corner.

The corner he had deemed as the best spot in the class. He started making his way there, trying to act normal with all he had.

"Thank goodness." He exclaimed and started making his way there.

He got to them and smiled.

"Chin-hwa, are you alright?" Seoung-bo asked. "You looked out of it."

"Yeah, I'm fine." Chin-hwa answered. "The Pheromones got to me a bit but I'm okay now."

He decided to take his seat and reached for his bag when he noticed it wasn't on his back. Wait, how...?

Did he leave it in the janitor's closet? He had to get it back right away before the professor came in.

He turned his head around right away but then he found Kang-woo entering the lecture hall while holding his bag.

He watched him with his friends as he exerted his dominance with simple strides.

Everyone else also turned around, watching the Alpha as he decided the short stairs at each seat row interval.

There were giggles and murmurs all surrounding him.

Ah, yes. He was the type to attract attention just by breathing, so as he strode toward Chin-hwa, he had his heart racing in excitement.

Chin-hwa noticed this and knew Kang-woo was walking towards him so he turned his head right away to act like he did not know him.

Kang-woo paused for a second, seeing this. But he was a good room reader so he simply walked towards the seat next to Chin-hwa and sat down, not saying anything.

If he did this, they wouldn't suddenly assume that he knew Chin-hwa, right?

After all, there were very few empty seats.

Chin-hwa's heart raced but he kept his head down and his gaze far from Kang-woo.

If he didn't suddenly stare at him, they wouldn't assume he knew him, right?

'I need to do something.' Chin-hwa thought. 'Let me write.' But his bag was still with Kang-woo. His phone was in it as well.

What to do?

"Alright, settle down." The professor announced as he walked into the class and Kang-woo used the opportunity to slide Chin-hwa's bag back to him.

Chin-hwa stared at his bag and then glanced at Kang-woo to find him minding his business and looking forward like every other serious student.

But then, the corner of his lips curled up lightly in a smile, as if knowing Chin-hwa was staring at him in appreciation. And then he mouthed,

"Let's work hard together, alright?"

Chin-hwa saw this and ended up bowing his head to hide his blush.

What was this? Things weren't working according to how he expected at all.
