Chapter 116: How newly weds act

Chin-hwa thought he would feel better if Kang-woo was by his side. But wasn’t this worse? He might’ve miscalculated somehow because now, even his eyelids refused to close.

"Are you nervous?" Kang-woo asked, staring at Chin-hwa whose eyes were fixed to the ceiling.

"And for what reason would I be jealous?" He asked, still keeping his eyes on the ceiling.

"Cause you can’t sleep." Kang-woo said. "Do I make you nervous?"

"Please, we slept on the same bed on Sunday night. This is no different." Chin-hwa said, looking away.

"Well, my parents are under the same roof." Kang-woo pointed. "And you snuck here after they had left you to use my room. So, I believe you have every right to be nervous," he chuckled and Chin-hwa’s face flushed.

"I didn’t ’snuck’ or anything," he said. "I just didn’t want to sleep alone."

"And you ended up ’snucking’ here." Kang-woo said and laughed, causing Chin-hwa to be even more embarrassed.

"Stop using the word ’snuck’!" Chin-hwa threw a pillow to his face. "You’re making things harder for me." But Kang-woo still laughed.

Chin-hwa looked even cuter when he was flushed in embarrassment.

"You know," Kang-woo said, his gaze dropping softly. "With my parents in the same house and you and I sleeping on the same bed without their knowledge... This nervous atmosphere makes it seem like we’re newlyweds."

Chin-hwa’s eyes widened and he turned his head to look at him.

"What did you say?"

"I only said the atmosphere seems that way," he said. "Of course, we aren’t newlyweds. If we were, we’d be in our own house right now." He laughed.

Chin-hwa pursed his lips.

’He keeps talking about us being newlyweds too carefreely, and we aren’t even dating,’ he thought. ’He’s taking it so lightly. Of course, we teased each other like this in the past, too, but this time, it’s different. It’s as if he’s expecting an answer from me.’

Chin-hwa felt he might just be thinking things too deeply, straying from the simplicity Kang-woo might’ve meant when he made that statement, and he felt so miserable for that.

Expectations or no expectations, he still finds himself waiting.

"Hah," he scoffed as he sat up, throwing another pillow to his face. "As if you’d know what it feels like to be newlyweds even if it hits you in the face," he teased Kang-woo. "You don’t even know the first thing about marriage, do you?"

"Um, I think I know some things," he sat up, his eyes landing on Chin-hwa’s hand. He took his hand and interlocked their fingers together. "Two people who love each other get married and are happy. And when they get to their room, when they’re next to each other, their hearts surely race as they are nervous to be in each other’s presence,"

Chin-hwa’s heart raced while listening to his words.

"And then, when they come closer, when their faces are so close to each other, they want to feel each other’s lips so their hearts race even more." His words were low and slow, causing an impact Chin-hwa did not expect to feel. "Both of them are nervous, not wanting to make a mistake and be careful." Chin-hwa gulped slowly, his throat suddenly running dry. "They..." Kang-woo raised his gaze and met Chin-hwa’s eyes. "...Want to be in each other’s arms so badly but don’t want to seem too desperate, so they take it slow." He slowly leaned toward Chin-hwa. "So slow that they get even more impatient."

It looked like he was leaning in for a kiss and even though Chin-hwa did not understand why or what he was planning to do, he was welcoming of the idea.

Even though it could just be an example, he wanted... To lock lips with Kang-woo.

But then Kang-woo moved back and shrugged his shoulders.

"If that isn’t how newlyweds feel when they sleep next to each other for the first time, then I guess I still have a lot to learn," he said and laughed, but Chin-hwa had his head down.

He had this dark expression in his eyes but didn’t even look up. He told himself he didn’t want to have any expectations, but just once... Even if they would end up brushing it under the rug as a mistake or an ’example’ he wanted to do it. But it looked like Kang-woo wouldn’t go that far no matter what.

It left a pain in his heart and he just laid back on the bed.

"I’m going to sleep," he said, saying no more and squeezing his eyes tight.

He turned the other way, backing Kang-woo who was a bit confused. Did he hit a nerve with what he just did? He didn’t want to make him upset or anything.

If anything, he felt Chin-hwa would end up hating him if he went as far as kissing him while they were both conscious. He didn’t know if he would be able to sweep it aside as a deliberate mistake for the purpose of getting him to understand his point so he didn’t go that far.

But it looked like Chin-hwa was angry regardless.

"Then," he raised the blanket and covered Chin-hwa with it. "Good night."

Chin-hwa did not respond. He kept his lips sealed, biting down on his bottom lip and trying hard to suppress his urges.

Kang-woo sighed and lay down. Guess he messed up this time.

They ended up sleeping but just when it looked like they were both fast asleep, Chin-hwa raised his head. He sat up and looked at Kang-woo who was already deep into the dream world.

’I couldn’t do it.’ Chin-hwa thought. ’I couldn’t fall asleep because my mind was swimming with thoughts like that. I...’ he slowly got on top of Kang-woo, his heart racing and pounding hard.

Just what was he trying to do right now? What was he doing to a sleeping person? This was a crime. He was a pervert.

But this was less perverted than how he masturbated on Kang-woo’s bed while suffocating himself with his shirt that strongly had his scent.

’Just once, just this once...’ he thought. "I’m just curious." He muttered softly, watching Kang-woo’s lips, and then leaned in slowly.

He knew that he was done for if he was found out but he just wanted to use this opportunity. If he was caught, he’d come up with something to cover it up. Anything. So long as his intentions weren’t discovered.

He finally succeeded in pressing their lips together and the softness and warmth of Kang-woo’s lips made his insides melt.

Ah, to think he hadn’t done this sooner. What next?

His mind suddenly flashed when he saw Kang-woo and Yun-tae kissing on the rooftop.

Ah, this was wrong. Kang-woo had a boyfriend already and it was Yun-tae, his friend. So, doing this was betraying Yun-tae who trusted him to help their boat sail beautifully.

And he was someone else’s boyfriend, so wasn’t this cheating?

It suddenly made him feel horrible.

He decided to just forget he ever attempted this foolish act and go to sleep but just when he was about to part from Kang-woo’s lips, Kang-woo’s hand found its way to Chin-hwa’s head and pressed him down, deepening the kiss.

Chin-hwa’s eyes widened. He was so shocked.

Had Kang-woo woken up already? Oh no, this was bad. But... If he was awake, why wasn’t he doing anything? Instead, he had his lips pressed to his even more than before.

He looked up and found Kang-woo’s eyes still closed. So, was he acting out in his sleep?

But then, Kang-woo parted his lips, going for a deeper kiss.

It was no longer just their lips pressed together but their tongues? Chin-hwa was confused, but he just went with the flow, scared that if Kang-woo was actually acting out in his sleep, any violent action would wake him up, and he’d get caught.

But... Wasn’t this kiss already violent? He could feel the air leaving his lungs as if they were being sucked out.

Kang-woo’s lips were smooth and soft and as their tongues swirled together, exchanging saliva and letting a few dribble down the corners of their lips, Chin-hwa began to subconsciously release his pheromones.

He was feeling quite overwhelmed by this intimate action. It felt like he was being swallowed whole and his body was burning up, but he did not want to stop.

This was probably the only time he’d get to go this far with Kang-woo, and even though his conscience pricked him because he was kissing his friend’s boyfriend, they were all secondary compared to the deep suppressed desire he had locked in his heart.

Kang-woo released Chin-hwa’s lips, letting him finally catch his breath and he panted, his expression a complete mess.

If Kang-woo had opened his eyes at that moment, he’d see just what kind of mess he had made Chin-hwa to be with just his lips.

But he buried his face in Chin-hwa’s neck, sniffing in his leaking pheromones and then he began to kiss his neck.

’Just... What is he doing?’ Chin-hwa shivered. ’Kang-woo, just what are you dreaming about?’
