Afaro chuckled, raised his hands and tied his long hair back in a ponytail. The way he was acting was a signal that he was not afraid of them.

He gripped his trident tightly in his hands, lifted it high and then slammed it down on the ground really hard. The building started to tremble and a crack was formed.

Through it, water started to trickle through various small holes at a rapid speed, flowing into the arena. All of it was drawn towards Afaro like a magnet. The more water he gathered, the more confident Afaro became and the smugger he appeared.

Alix and the captain didn’t move, they hung back patiently, waiting for Afaro to exhaust his tricks. With all that Alix had done to trim his ego and make him feel powerless, he was desperate to prove himself.

Afaro raised his hands and the water he had collected rose around him, forming a protective wall.

"This still won’t save you." Alix told him.

"You are a coward." he answered.

"Oh!" Alix raised her eyebrows. "And how is that?"

"You do not fight fairly, instead you are using shady tactics to defeat me. If you want to prove that you are better than me, let down your barrier and we can fight fairly. I am Afaro, I am the God of the seas, i do not kneel before weaklings like you." he roared.

Alix scoffed and rolled her eyes, the nom, nom sounds in her head were becoming louder and more persistent meaning that her system was running out of patience. There was no time to challenge Afaro in a needless fight that could be won easily.

Besides, she preferred to keep her cards close, in case Genesis had a means through which he was watching. It would be best for her if he didn’t know her capabilities.

She tossed out grenades and smoke bombs, one after the other and in their mix, she added the silver balls which she named extractors because they extracted systems.

The smoke bombs released a red gas which dominated the arena, making it impossible for anyone looking on from outside to know what was happening inside.

Mafan was already impatient, he did not even wait for the silver balls to reach Afaro. The blue elf dashed out of Alix, grabbed Afaro who was looking for an escape point and disappeared with him.

"Hurry up, you have five minutes maximum." Alix told it.

While the system was extracting Afaro’s system and his memories, Alix and the captain were not idle. She lowered the barrier and soldiers poured in to transport everyone in the town away.

Some of the people there were wanted criminals from different countries, others were rich businessmen and some were famous celebrities and politicians. For at least a month, the bureau was going to be busy cleaning up this mess.

An already impatient captain approached Alix when the five minutes were up. "Where is he?"

The red gas was starting to clear up and he still hadn’t managed to get his hands on Afaro.

"You haven’t killed him, have you?" The captain growled out.

Something fell out of the the sky and almost landed on the captain’s head but he was quick and he floated backwards, avoiding it. When he saw what it was however, her eagerly floated towards it.

It was none other than Afaro, he was all messed up physically, bruised and bloodied as if he had been in a fight.

"He is all yours." Alix told the captain.

The captain did not need to be told twice, he swooped down and grabbed Afaro by the hair, he wound it around his right hand, lifted Afaro up and threw him to the ground over and over.

Alix and the other soldiers that were transporting away the still poisoned guests of the town could only watch as if they were at a tennis match.

Their heads moved from left to right and right to left and they watched Afaro’s body being swung as if it was a an ordinary flag.

They heard the sound of cracking as his bones were shattered with each hit and heard the cries he made as he encountered pain for first time in a long time.

Finally, they all thought that the captain was finished when he stopped but that was not the case. He fed Afaro a pill and Alix watched as Afaro’s body healed itself completely and the captain repeated the process again, this time pummeling Afaro in the head with his fists.

When Afaro was near death point, the captain fed him another pill and healed him. He got a knife and let out an agonized cry of pain as he brought it down, piercing through Afaro’s left eye.

Afaro cried out and started pleading for the captain to stop but the captain was like a deaf man, he just retrieved it and brought it down, this time through the right eye.

That was not enough, he used the sharp tip to make a cut on Afaro’s neck.

"He is really going to skin him." Alix muttered.

"I would too. The system shared with her. "If you see the pictures from the crime scene and witness what Afaro did to his wife, you would take a knife and assist him. I am not human but even i know that killing a pregnant woman in cold blood is wrong."

"Right, i had forgotten." she whispered.

Her right hand went to her stomach and her eyes moved to the captain. His shoulders were shaking, it was clear that he was crying softly as he punished the person that had killed his wife and destroyed his life.

She could not imagine the pain that innocent woman had suffered physically and emotionally as she cried out and pleaded for her life for the sake of the baby in her womb.

"Oh, you don’t have to imagine, i have the video of the murder which Afaro recorded and sent to the captain."

The system started playing it on the virtual screen without Alix’s authorization. It skipped ahead to the part where the captain’s wife was begging.

"Please, my baby, spare me for the sake of the baby. You can come back and kill me after i give birth, i will not fight or call the police but please, spare me today. Please, she is innocent...."

"Turn it off." Alix curtly ordered.

The system obediently did as ordered. "You, if i am not mistaken Genesis might want to use the same strategy on you. You will be at your most vulnerable when you are giving birth or almost at that point. If he has figured out that you are my host, that’s when you will be attacked."

"That you start training, you and your family. We have collected enough systems for everyone and everything else is on track. It’s time to prepare for the final fight."

When she considered what Afaro had done to the captain’s wife on Genesis’s orders, she could not argue with the system.

"I agree, but let’s pick up Jack Cree first, i am worried that Majesty will finish him off before i can speak to him."
