Chapter 570: Not a government cover up.

While he was groggy and confused, tentacles wrapped his neck and two round balls with sharp teeth grabbed a hold of him, one at the base of his head and another hooked the tentacles into his eyes.

Just like that, the dreaded battle so many had been worried about was over.

The only injuries on Alix were a few scrapes from the ice needles which were nothing major.

She put the flute away flew to weather boy, sending him into her bag and then, she flew up to the cotton candy house walking in as if she had always been the owner.

On the outside, it looked small, like it had just one bedroom and one wide room used for a variety of different things. That was not what she was met with however, it was like a castle on the inside, with many rooms and even a garden.

"Huh!" she exclaimed, and then she screamed for joy. They didn’t need to build a house anymore, they had a ready made house.

She just needed to find out how it being powered and then she could find a way to keep it. Her babies would surely love to grow up in a cotton candy house. Her eyes lit up, Xiaobo would lose his mind when he saw it.

Suddenly she felt dizzy and she fell to the ground, her body did not touch down however because the system elf was there, waiting for her already and it put her on the sofa.

Then it vanished and returned to the virtual world and to weather boy who was paralyzed fully but wide awake. The blue elf lost it’s normal foolish happy look and grew to seven feet tall, it’s face and body changed into that of an adult elf. It’s eyes were red, like a blood moon on a dark night.

Weather boy felt afraid, only one other system had ever inspired such fear in him.

The blue elf put a hand on his cheek and stroked it almost lovingly. "You are strong, if Alix did not have the flute and the song which dulled your senses this battle could have gone either way. Someone like you must have met him once or twice, so, tell me about Ceraxes or Genesis, where can i find them? What are their plans and what level is he at?"

Weather boy’s eyes darted back and fourth, a jolt of shock went through him. Even though he was paralyzed, he could still talk.

"Yo...you are him!!" he gasped.

"Aww, he told you about me." The blue elf laughed.

Weather boy suddenly realized that everyone was being deceived about what Alix’s system.

"She is no dragon, she probably doesn’t even know what you are...you..."

The blue elf sealed his mouth and attached another device to his head.

"You talk too much and you know too much. Why should i bother asking for answers when i can just take them by reading your memories? As for my host knowing what i am, that’s our business, not for a subordinate like you to find out.

Don’t worry, your system will find a new host, a better one that can be managed, as for you, your glory days are over. You were an unworthy system host."

On the ground below, no sounds or movement could be detected anymore. To all, it seemed like the fight was over and yet the barrier preventing them from flying up was still in place, confusing them.

The rain was subsiding, the wind had calmed down and the weather was normalizing slowly. But, many were wondering what this meant.

There were two possibilities, Alix had been captured weather boy and he had taken her away because his mission could be considered as fulfilled or Alix had defeated weather boy. Both outcomes could explain the change in the weather.

"Is it over?" someone asked.

Nobody could give a concrete answer and until the barrier came down, or they heard from one of the two parties involved in the fight, they would remain clueless.

"Captain, Yi Sao is asking what the news should report?"

"Ask the prosecutor general," he responded gruffly.

He didn’t care what the news reported, he just needed to know if Alix was dead or alive.

"Captain, we have been told to go and begin clean up." one of the system hosts approached carefully and informed him.

"Half of you can go, but half is remaining." he ordered.

The sky was still on fire, those dragon flames were not easy to put out. More over, a mist was forming as the flames went out and it looked like it was going to cover the entire city.

The captain got on his phone and told Yi Sao to get their person in the meteorology department to make this announcement. People needed to stay in doors while they used their fancy gadgets to quell the mist as quickly as possible. It would take them at least a few hours or an entire day.

The system hosts that were familiar with Alix were among those that remained behind. Just like the captain, they needed to know if she was alive.

"I have never witnessed a battle like this." Mantis told Maggie.

Maggie looked up and sighed. "Do you think he won?"

All that lightning, the strong wind, ground shaking, windows shattering, trees being uprooted, rocks and cars flying into the air was too much. Weather boy was feared with good reason. Could a dragon whose only strength was fire really have defeated him?

"I hope not." Mantis whispered.

Ten minutes later, Rui Yi Sao was on television giving a report on behalf of the police.

"This afternoon, a city planned entertainment initiative involving dragon forming fireworks with drones went terribly wrong when the weather took a sudden turn. As a result of this, there was an explosion in the sky which resulted in the sky catching fire spectacle as some netizens are calling it.

I would like to assure our citizens that it is not a supernatural event or the beginning of a world war. Our country is not under attack or attacking anyone, so we urge you all to stay calm and rational.

It is also not an issue of global warming and there is no government cover up, it was just an accident. We are working hard to recover any left over pieces of the drones involved in the incident."

Another female police officer equally good looking like Yi Sao came and handed her a partially damaged piece of a drone.

"This is what the drones look like, if any citizen comes across one, please call the number on the screen and police officers will be there to collect it immediately. A reward of five hundred yuan per piece is being offered.

The rain is coming down and the weather is stabilizing but a warning about mist in the city has been sounded. Please be careful, avoid the road so that you do not get into accidents. If you can, stay in doors until further notice."

At the same time, bird morphers were going around the city, secretly tossing away old broken drone pieces.
