Chapter 569: Alix vs weatherboy....2

Alix was faster than the lightning bolt and she flew out straight through the closed window, shattering it as she escaped from the apartment.

"She is fast." Weather boy laughed.

He got up and run out, diving through the window and taking to the skies after her. He did not have wings but the air was like his toy, and it supported him. He was standing on top of a cloud that was sailing like a magic carpet, soaring through the skies.

Alix went up into the very dark clouds which he had created, using them for cover. She released a deafening roar, shaking the city with her might.

"Dragon." Weather boy whispered and smiled.

His blood boiled with so much excitement that he released more lightning bolts. Like fireworks which had been set off in celebration, they exploded simultaneously.

It was abnormal for people not to notice what was happening, many eyes on the ground looked up to the sky. All around the city, some people closed their windows while others opened them. The ones with quick hands pointed their phone cameras to the sky.

As for the system hosts, they all received the order to begin altering reality immediately while rushing to the fighting zone, it could not be more obvious what was going on. There was only one dragon and only one weather master and those two were battling it out.

Even at the Tai house, grandpa Tai took a break from his granddaughter preparation movements and rushed to look outside. He was not alone, Caishen and everyone else followed.

As soon as Caishen heard the roar, he knew.

"Alix." he whispered.

It was no mistake that she had gone out on her own, she had gone after weather boy as she had said but she was on her own.

"What is going on up there?" Auntie Mo asked, very worried. fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

"Nothing good." Ho Sun replied, equally worried.

Caishen was already on the phone, contacting Aang to pick him up but the other people could not come to him. There were too many system hosts needing to be picked up at the moment, and he was an ordinary human. Aang even advised him to stay home and wait.

Caishen was not one to wait.

"I am going to the hidden city." he told the Tai’s.

He could not sit at home and bite his nails like a soldier’s wife in the 1800’s waiting for her husband to return from war. He needed to see what he could do to help.

"I am coming with you." Chairman Tai declared.

The others were not to be left behind, so all of the Tai’s set off, with their pets too and the big loud house was left empty.

Up in the sky, the air rippled with tense energy as Alix and weather boy circled each other. She was not fully dragon, all she had out was her wings, horns on her head, a tail and claws. She did have a few visible scales on her face that shimmered every time a reflection of lightning shined on her.

"You still won’t show the full dragon, huh!" Weather boy smiled.

She opened her mouth and exposed her baby dragon fangs. "You are not worthy."

Alix widened her mouth even further and unleashed a surge of hot red flames which the rain could not douse. The flames did not touch weather boy because he raised his hand like a mage and created a wall of water gathered from the falling rain.

He stood firm behind the wall and smirked.

"Water beats fire every time." he chuckled.

"Aww, you think it’s ordinary dragon fire." she cackled loudly.

The flames ate through the wall, shocking weather boy that turned around to escape but he was late and the flames landed on his hand, burning through his shirt and scalding his hand.

He escaped, but his left arm was badly injured.

"I warned you. If we count, that’s one burn, how about we go for two." Alix roared and went after him agilely flying through the pouring skies.

"To your left he has help." the system.

She sopped flying and hovered in the air, noticing two very large monstrous looking birds heading her way. She had been expecting this, the dark side did not play fair after all.

"We want her alive." she heard weather boy shout.

He formed a bunch of sharp ice needles from the rain and sent them her way, accompanied by more bolts of lightning. Alix activated the invisibility abilities of her rain coat and dropped down.

Then she grabbed the two birds with her claws and hurled them in the direction of the incoming sharp ice needles. The birds screeched in pain, their high pitched cries, would have been heard all over the city if Mantis and others had not put shield around.

Alix made a beeline for weather boy, not claws but guns in hand this time. She fired off one shot after another without seizing. Weather boy used the power of wind to deflect the bullets, sending them down another path.

"Guns to a battle like this, now you are just being lazy. Show yourself dragon." he yelled.

Lightning crackled, illuminating the sky brightly, shattering the shields which had been placed around the battle ground.

"I am a God!!!" he bellowed.

He sent down a blast of wind and the ground shook just as it had done when Alix roared. Water tanks burst, and all the nearest water bodies started overflowing. He released even more lightning blindly as Alix had gone invisible again.

Even though she was invisible, she continued attacking him with her flames while protecting herself from his attacks.

Once again, even ordinary people could see the skies, somewhere in the dark clouds above, a weird phenomenon was occurring. Radiance, bright radiance and fire were being reflected. The sky was practically on fire and yet it was raining, a mesmerizing spectacle which had never been seen before.

"Replace and activate the shields." the captain barked. "Every host that can fly, take to the skies, now."

Mantis shook her head. "We can’t, something is blocking the air above."

In the sky, weather boy was pushing himself to the limits, angry because he was completely shirtless now, and his body scorched in various places.

Alix was playing hide and seek in the clouds, he could not pin point where she was exactly which was annoying.

"You are a coward dragon, come out and face me or i will bury this entire city." he bellowed.

Alix responded by tossing out a lot of grenades in his directly, in the midst of the grenades, she sent out those silver balls with tentacles, five of them.

The grenades started exploding even before they reached weather boy and while he used the wind and rain to hurl them away while protecting his body, she got her flute out and started playing a melody.

"Music!! you are playing music. Are you taking this as a joke?" he ground out.

He pulled boulders from the ground, and threw them out in the direction the music was coming from. But he had riled up the wind, like a hurricane, so the music was coming from every direction, and he couldn’t tell the real one.

His mind stopped focusing as the melody assaulted his ears, comforting him like the warm touch of a mother urging him to go to sleep after gouging himself on a big bowl of porridge.
