The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 560: Know thy enemy

The attacks continued for one long week, all around the country, making no sense at all. If they were after Alix wasn’t it logical to attack close to where she lived? Why spread the attacks out all over the country.

It became even further confusing when the attacks happened in other countries, different hosts with animal morphing systems, attacking and escaping or being captured.

Alix, Caishen. Abby Chung, The captain and Yi Sao met for that very issue in the hidden city. They had been in the secure surveillance room behind closed doors for two hours, studying footage from every attack, frame by frame and studying all the details.

The captain paused the last video and punched a table.

"It’s senseless." Yi Sao spoke up.

Alix was bound to agree with her even though she didn’t necessarily like the woman yet. Both of them were still studying each other like two opponents in a ring.

"Well it’s still raining, so weather boy is still in the country." Alix reminded them. "How certain are we that he is connected to these attacks or if they are related to me, maybe it’s those Everyone criminals. I agree with the spokeswoman, the attacks are senseless."

The rain had Alix believing that weather boy was perhaps not involved in the attacks. It also made her realize how strong her was for it to rain countrywide, non stop for more than a week. What level was his system at? A battle between them was going to be tough.

More importantly, she was tired of waiting and she wanted to go out and find him herself. The sooner she ended this, the better for everyone in the country. The rain had to stop, enough was enough!

If his goal was to annoy her, he had succeeded greatly.

"I disagree." Caishen lent his voice to the discussion. "They are after something, even thought these attacks are all over the world, they are mostly concentrated here in our country. Where others are hit once, we are hit twice. There is a pattern here, perhaps it’s an experiment, you did say that all captured system hosts are not talking. It sounds to me like a dark side kind of operation, the Everyone group would not be so reckless to go around like this."

Abby Chung played back one of the videos and he concentrated more on the very first wolf morpher that Mantis had captured.

"Everyone missed something."

His sharp detective eyes had captured something everyone had missed. In the video, two minutes before being captured, the wolf morpher had dropped something on the ground. An eleven to twelve year old kid in a black raincoat running by bumped into the wolf morpher and dropped a bag of groceries.

The kid apologized and then picked up the groceries, taking with him whatever it was that the wolf morpher had dropped.

"Did you see that?" Abby asked them.

They all gave him confused looks, having watched the video at least five times and not noticing anything. Abby groaned, frustrated because he was working with a group of blind bats.

"She dropped something, it was quick and but you can see it if you have sharp eyes. Whatever she dropped, this kid picked up and then run away with it. From what i can deduce, that thing is a camera, a very small camera like the ones which were used to record Wenyuan and started her scandal that led to her downfall."

Alix remembered the scandal vividly, it was a sex scandal that ended the career of the great legendary actress Wenyuan. She was about to become a female lead in superhero movie, in one of the most known and loved franchises world wide. Everyone suspected that she had been sabotaged but they could not prove it. Anyway, the sex scandal ended Wenyuan’s career and nobody had heard a peep from her since then.

"See this," Abby moved closer to one screens and he touched it, zooming in on the image.

"Wait." The captain stopped him.

He activated the hologram feature of the hi-tech screens, bringing the video closer to everyone’s eyes and they could see clearer as if they were right there on the street with the wolf morpher and the boy.

The small camera was in the shape of a small button sized hair clip. The wold morpher passed her hand through her hair so naturally and the clip fell to the ground just as the boy was approaching.

"Look at the size of that hair clip, it cannot even hold ten strands of hair together." Abby commented. "Why would anyone use it. I have seen this kind of device before, it was purchased from someone in Everyone. Those people will sell anything to anyone, without a care about how those things will be used or where they end up.

I found something exactly like that in a pot of flowers in Wenyuan’s house. That camera communicates with another, transmitting footage from one location to another. My guess is that they are studying, that’s what these attacks are about, they are collecting information."

He looked at Alix. "It’s you, the person they are studying is you."

He moved his fingers over the hologram, capturing similar coincidences happening near the battle field.

"If i have to draw a conclusion, it’s that weather boy or whoever sent him wants to see how strong you are before engaging you in a fight. The reason why the attacks have not stopped is because you have not fought in full dragon form. You seem to prefer shooting and using your claws."

The captain nodded. "That’s true, even in Germany, the footage we received does not show you in full dragon form. Even when you release fire from your mouth, you maintain your human shape with the exception of your eyes.

Now that i think about, the German bureau has been suffering from cyber attacks since that day. Their captain refused to hand over footage of the incident at the Heinrich home, president Bishop was furious. She thinks the six families want to see for themselves what happened, particularly the system hosts that lost their systems. Something like that is bound to shake everyone up."

He looked at Alix and nodded his head slowly. Perhaps Abby was right, weather boy, president Bishop, Genesis, all of them would love to test out Alix’s strength. In fact, even those six remaining families would want to know her true strengths and weaknesses, everything they had now was hear say. Knowing one’s enemy was a proper step in the direction of victory.
