The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 535: How lucky they are.
Chapter 535: How lucky they are.
"What was what?" The system asked pretentiously like it had no idea what had just happened.
Alix groaned and closed the virtual screen. It was the wrong timing to get into the matter deeply or demand for an explanation from the system. Mantis was about to break the down the door or become a very small ant and find her way inside.
She put the laptop inside her bag and then went ahead to open the door, narrowly missing Mantis’s foot landing on her face.
She dodged it and caught it with both of her hands, and gazed curiously at the woman.
"Violence against doors Mantis, maybe you should work on your temper more than me.I know a good therapist."
Mantis pulled her leg back and then stumbled twice before deciding to use Alix’s shoulder for support.
"Did you succeed in your mission?" she asked.
Alix tilted her head and narrowed her eyes. "Mission, what mission?"
"You texted me and said you were constipated. Why do you have to make me spell it out? Anyway, have you succeeded or do you need medicine?" She raised a bag and dangled it before Alix’s eyes. "I brought three types of stool softeners, one is fast acting and you can be bloat free in three."
She was very peachy while Alix’s face just darkened more and more. Who was it that said she had constipation? Her bowel movements were healthy and smooth, okay! In fact, she could brag about them but she was being respectful.
"What is bloat free in three?"
Mantis pulled a small bottle of liquid medicine from the bag and shook it.
"Bloat free in three minutes which is enough time for you to go number two, take a bath, dress up and be on stage in thirty minutes."
She staffed the bottle in Alix’s hands and pushed her in the direction of the bathroom.
"Where is my cat?" Alix turned her head back and asked, worried.
If Majesty was out of her sight for too long, she worried. He had been too docile lately from the lack of action.
"Chasing pigeons on the roof."
Mantis shoved her into the bathroom and closed the door. She was proud of herself for being a good friend and running out to buy for Alix constipation medicine. From the unhappy look on her face when she opened the door, her mission in the toilet had definitely been unsuccessful.
Forty five minutes later, Alix was on stage giving another performance all her best like it was the last time she would ever perform in her life. When she was done, she was whisked away to join Caishen who was taking advantage of Aang’s abilities to date his wife internationally.
He was already waiting for her on a small boat with non alcoholic wine and Pizza of all things, which shocked Alix since he wasn’t much of a pizza eater.
The moment she stepped foot on the boat, the owner started rowing and singing loudly in a deep voice.
Alix couldn’t help smiling in wonder at her husband that looked proud of himself.
"The Gondola experience, hmm." she commented.
This was one of the things they planned to do on a honeymoon right here in the city of Venice, riding through the canals by taking a Gondola boat. It was an intimate way to spend time together while leisurely taking in the sights of the city.
They cuddled close and Caishen wrapped a blanket around them both. They could still eat their pizza and enjoy the non alcoholic fruit wine with ease.
Alix was surprised to see Caishen eat his third slice of pizza without expressing any unpleasantness on his face like he was being forced to.
"You are eating pizza and actually enjoying it." She chuckled and got her third slice as well.
He smiled at her and shrugged. "When in Rome baby."
Her eyes lit up with excitement and she gasped. She turned to him and expressed with glee, "Except we are not in Rome. Ha! for the first time ever i am beating you at the facts game."
Caishen chortled silently and squeezed her shoulder using the hand he had around her shoulder.
"Fine, when in Venice, Italy, not Rome. I know it’s quite cliche to buy into the authentic Italian pizza narrative but this is some good pizza. Or maybe i am just starving, i eat just as much as you do now. Do all of us eat like this?"
She swallowed the pizza she was chewing and shook her head. "I am not sure, i think it’s those of us with more physical systems that adjust our bodies in various ways."
The man that was rowing the boat stopped singing and he turned his head to them. In turn, they kept quiet and smiled at him.
He turned to the front and resumed his singing, serenading them once more with his deep voice and enchanting song.
Alix decided to store all system talk for when they were behind closed doors. Lately, it was hard to tell who was normal and who was a host and then who was on the good side and who was on the dark side.
She sighed and looked up at the stars before moving her eyes to the city lights and then other people that were traveling on these small boats like them.
"Hubby, aren’t we lucky? We can have breakfast in Paris, lunch in Venice and dinner in ...mm...."
She wanted to think of another romantic adventure in another city but her mind was as dry as an empty well. Europe was large and the most famous romantic scenarios were drawn in cities like Paris and Venice.
She thought about Greece and a light bulb went off in her mind. She was about to mention the famous beautiful Greek island of Santorini when Caishen beat her to it, mentioning another place, one she had never thought of.
"Aberfeldy, dinner in Scotland in one of those cottages besides the water surrounded by nature."
"Aberfeldy." Alix repeated after him.
Caishen got his brand new phone which had been purchased from her mall and he vocally gave it instructions to show images of Aberfeldy. The phone came with a helpful helper like Bangzhu only this one was called Onyx.
There were about two hundred phones in the mall and they were not flying off the shelves as they were not products of well known earth brands.
"Your phone..."
"From your mall." he confirmed and then he showed her pictures of Aberfeldy.
Alix smiled when she saw them and she agreed with him, in fact, more than dinner, it was best to spend a whole week there doing nothing but being lazy.
"Oh wow, it looks so peaceful there, like a small town in a world of its own. It looks so clean and pretty, i think i would live there and be happy. I would spend my days composing, playing music, painting and running through the hills. Oh, and raising our family."
Caishen drew in a deep breath and pulled her closer to his chest.
"How did i do this time my little hulk, on this date?"
She kissed him on the cheek and smiled. "Amazing hubby, as amazing as always."
