Chapter 532: A proud system.

After her performance in Paris, Alix was whisked away to Venice without delay. The bureau didn’t want to risk having her walk around care freely in another city just to end up being kidnapped by another person that thought they were untouchable. One big fire in Germany was enough, they didn’t another one so soon.

Mantis remained by Alix’s side at all times, watching over her even she was practicing. She often shared those videos and videos of Majesty doing this or that. Thanks to her, Alix and Majesty’s fame at home and abroad had grown even more.

People found it extremely cute when Alix babied Majesty, carrying him around, cuddling him and Majesty’s complaints when he didn’t want to do something were to die for. Videos with human subtitles explaining the meows were wide spread.

Two companies had already offered to make him a brand ambassador, one a cat food brand in Germany, surprisingly and another a large pet business back at home. Since she had no plans of entering German territory for a while, Alix turned their offer down.

At the moment, she was practicing her violin for her final European show which was only one hour and thirty minutes away. Majesty was loudly meowing...., singing actually and he sounded exactly like a cat, horrible.

Even then, his adorableness was not lost on the two women and they encouraged him. They engaged in this activity for twenty more minutes and then the system stopped Alix.

"Host, it’s time for the final game."

Alix’s hand froze and she smiled. It had been days since the system talked to her as it had been busy digesting the two systems it ate. One was a mind reading system and another a quiz game system. As someone with a gaming system already, she didn’t need a quiz game system. In fact, her system had quickly started dealing with it like a jealous wife that had seen a concubine.

"You are back." she replied with joy.

She excused herself and made her way to the bedroom, locking the door behind her to stop Mantis and Majesty from following her.

"I am back, bigger and better." It announced proudly. "Watch what i can do."

The system elf lifted it’s chubby feet and walked out of the virtual screen. In a second, it was standing in front of Alix out in the real world.

"Errrr..." her eyes widened and she stepped back, away from it. "What..."

She squatted down and carried the chubby blue elf that felt very real with warmth like a living being. It had big eyes, sharp ears, little sharp teeth, blonde hair and a very arrogant smirk on it’s face.

"I can come out of the virtual world, i am a level seven system now. Ha..i don’t have to be stuck in there all the time waiting for you to keep me company. I am good looking aren’t i?"

Alix put it on the bed and she tilted her head from side to side, looking at it’s ears and face up close. It looked like an elf, just shorter and chubbier. A baby elf if she had to say so.

"Oh wow, you are really real." she whispered. She poked it’s head and pinched it’s cheeks. "You are actually cute and so much more adorable than i thought."

She pulled it and kissed it on the cheeks before prying it’s green robe open to look at it’s chest.

It slapped her hands away and puffed it’s cheeks. "Don’t molest me."

Just as it appeared out of the blue, it vanished and returned to the virtual screen.

"I just wanted to see if you are a boy or girl elf." she mumbled. "How did you do that blue smurf, how can you come out of there?"

The blue elf twirled and the green robe changed to red. The elf adjusted it’s height, weight and all other details with it’s physical appearance. Eventually, it changed back into the normal short chubby elf she loved.

"I am a level seven system now and there are many things we...i can do now. Don’t bother asking, it’s need to know and you do not need to know."

She raised her brows and laughed, slightly miffed. She was the system host, if anybody needed to know what was going on with the system, it was her. The darn thing was hiding more secrets from her.

It snapped it’s fingers at her, drawing her out of her short daze. "Let’s go, let’s go, we are running late to the party already. Why didn’t you log into the game and join the final battle?"

Alix reluctantly answered, "Because everyone keeps texting about the cores, then they are banned but return again to restart the discussion. We have all come to agreement that the cores are the prize of this world but we are not getting anything core related in the loots. The coolest thing i have received so far from the loot are those high tech punching gloves i received yesterday night."

She got them out of her bag and showed them to the system as it had been absent and upgrading when she got them. They were two, a pair of gloves which was like an extension of her own skin when she wore them.

They had built in sensors to measure the speed and force of her punches. Best of all, they doubled that speed and force, tracked and corrected her moves in real time and pushed her boxing skills to the limit.

If she put her fists together and used her arms to protect herself, they formed an instant shield guard to protect her from head to toe.

If she was a professional boxer, she would very well be on her way to becoming the world’s number one heavyweight boxing champion. The gloves could be used in the game and out of it.

"These are sweet but not sweet enough in comparison to those cores. The more they are denied to me the more i want them." She feigned a sad cry.

Apart from another final champion tag, she didn’t see the need in participating in the final battle.

"Despite all that, you need to come in first place or lose dramatically for the sake of entertaining your fans. Your mall on earth could use an infusion of new products."

She looked at the time and noticed that she had only thirty minutes to engage in the final battle. Her violin performance was important, as important as the game.

She logged into the virtual network, put on her gaming glasses and joined the other players that had qualified for the final battle. She was just in time to see the a translucent blue monster bigger than the hulk tear Hero into two pieces with it’s bare hands, separating her body in a very gruesome manner.

With the realistic nature of the game, her intestines and blood gushed out, soaking other players that were attacking below.

Both of Hero’s body parts were tossed aside by the monster like yesterday’s unwanted trash. Alix shielded herself from head to toe, feeling very shaken. This was probably the most brutal death she had seen in the game so far and she couldn’t imagine the pain the player was enduring in the real world.

"I definitely don’t want to die like that."
